I am a recovering addict looking for a facility to aid me. During my very first session I became very distressed discussing very intense problems. I experienced a panic attack and when I did I was immediately surrounded by paramedics. I was only discussing my issues and they blew a lot of what I said out of proportion. They sent to st. Francis hospital where I was treated very poorly the hospital was dirty. Staff was rude and acted I was an inconvience to them. Lexington also Involved child protective services on a situation they knew nothing about. I don't have children. In my opinion i felt they assumed a lot without really hearing me and they took advantage of my weak mental state. I felt rushed by them and they heard nothing of what I said. Lexington's facility was also very unsanitary their office smelled like urine. Wet spots on chairs I didnt know where to sit. They were abrasive and presumptuous and made my situation worse. I am very sorry to have gone to them. They did nothing of what their ad said. A holistic approach?!? More like a prison sentence. Which their clientele is full of. They treated me like a crimminal. I felt trapped by them. I would like to make a formal complaint about them regarding this. Please help.

Lexington Center seemed to have gone downhill through the years - I have attended in different episodes due to my issues. Many of the counselors seem to care, yet some just seem as if they are just doing a job and have little empathy for the clients they are caring for. I have had several counselors there, but there was one that I had a lot of respect for because he showed a lot of care and compassion for us while being very knowledgeable about the much deeper issues that lead to addiction, way beyond what the textbook tells many of this counselor how to approach addiction when many of them have never gone through addiction themselves. His name was Jason Baylor (or Bailor?) and I have a lot of respect for him. I was sent to speak with a Supervisor at one point due to an issue I was having and she acted like she was working for a large corporation and had very robotic approaches, both verbally and physically, while showing know empathy at all...it felt as if she felt as if she was "better than" and looked down on the clients. I believe her name was Halina. My other complaint about them is that they seem to be rushing constantly and caring more about the paperwork they have to do instead of the actual needs of the clients.
