So why didn't you check the garment out before you left the store. Mix ups do happen. I am sure that it was not done on purpose. There are alot of wedding gowns in the stores as well as in the Alterations room. And yes, it could have happened.

You should have inspected to make sure that the thread was gone and checked the size on the tag to make sure.

Don't blame them for your incompetence and yes you could have gained that much weight in 8 months. Seen it happen.
Actually we get paid above what the average person gets paid. You get your hourly wage which is above minimum wage as well as a commission. You might want to check it out sometime.

Davids does sell quality wedding dresses. When you have customers (not all) come in and treat the merchandise like crap it can end up looking like crap. If you mean a better bridal store sells better dresses you are dead wrong since we have the same manufacturers doing our dresses as the "better" ones. Davids buys in bulk where your other stores buy by the piece. When they have a paid sale. Then you have to wait for an extremely long time for your gown to come in and it still may not be right. Been there, done it.

As far a better bridal boutique they get paid strictly commission per piece for what they sell and it does come below minimum wage therefore they push you into buying. I know I used to work there.
Ummm Kara, you might want to walk into a Davids Bridal store and count the different styles they carry. It is certainly more than 40 and they carry womans sizes which most independent stores do not.

As far as better quality merchandise you are mistaken since your line of dresses is more than likely the same one Davids uses and pays to have them put the Davids tag in their dresses.

The little snots that come into the store expecting something for nothing is the whole problem.

Oh and yes, I have heard horror stories about the independent bridal stores as well.
