Add me to your club. My Ice2O (nicknamed Ice2NO) fridge started flapping and flashing today. Although another symptom that we had was the ice fan was not running so the fridge was not cooling. No sooner after I crammed a wooden spoon into the ice chute to silence it, it started to scream like a banshee, beeping every few seconds. A while after that the compressor quit running, so I emptied it and unplugged it. I'll see if a new control board fixes my problem.
BTW, I'm about 15 days out of warranty.
I'd agree with you with the Savvy, it's a pile of junk. My Hover Savvy broke twice in the first year. The first time the light started to blink and stunk of burning plastic. It ended up being the main circuit board. The second time the switch was bad. I took it to a vacuum repair shop close to my hose that was not listed on the Hover website and the shop owner said he does warranty work Hover. It was in a few days each time, but I have didn't have to pay a penny for either visit.
I had a Eureka for 7 years prior to this and only had to replace bags and belts. Needles to say, I'll be going back to Eureka when this Hoover is done.

Oh, my. I posted here months ago when I had the problem and I forgot to check back to post a follow up. Amazing to see how many people have had this problem. I posted a short guide on how to replace the board yourself, but if the part is under warranty or recall, I'd go that route since the part is expensive.

There are bad capacitors on the broken board and I have heard from some people that replacing just the caps will fix the problem; however, you have to know how to solder to do this. If you can replace the caps yourself you can be running in a day instead of weeks to wait for a repairman or parts.
