This was a great course. It was not what I was expecting but I was pleasantly surprised, it was very informative and engaging. I definitely learned a lot and I would highly recommend taking this course if you are thinking about interpreting professionally.

Prisma International's Bridging the Gap course has impressed me. The knowledge and feedback the instructors provide to the students are valuable to the growth of anyone who is deciding to become an interpreter. The way the class is created provides a fun and interactive way to learn!

I have very much enjoyed and benefitted from the Bridging the Gap course by Prisma International Corporation. Not only have I learned skills that are essential to being a professional interpreter but also have learned great life skills in general. My school shared the sponsored opportunity for students to take the course and the class far exceeded my expectations! I loved the teaching style that was integrated for each session. Our cohort was online, but that did not diminish the chances to participate at all. Our instructors were always very professional in class and when giving feedback in our practices! The textbooks were on point with everything we had to learn and the glossary covered terms in my mother tongue accurately. Overall the class felt fulfilling and complete. I'd definitely recommend the program any day!

The classes are in small groups, therefore, there's more participation and understanding on the fields studied. My spanish classes with Duke University Physician Assistant medical spanish with my teacher was awesome. I learned customized basic spanish for my job. I am forever connected to my patients and I continuously get support and tips on culture from Prisma.

Prisma has provided us with management consulting and interim management services at C-suite and managerial level during times of transition. The leadership at this consultancy is customer driven, flexible and experts in operational improvements. The assessment and improvement plans are sound and the coaching along the project and program management is truly unique. We highly recommend them for strategy and growth and operations. We will continue to use them as a practice each fiscal year.

I am immensely grateful for having found Prisma-International-Corp's Bridging the Gap interpretation online course. I had already successfully completed another 40hr online course offered by the University of Texas at Austin's Center for Professional Education, but I was left feeling unprepared and needing real interpretation skill development. Although the UT course introduced me to medical interpretation standards and values, the size of the group limited lab work to one hour out of the forty hours. My UT cohort basically had no real opportunity to practice interpreting. By contrast, Prisma Int Corp's BTG was a deep dive into both theory and practice of medical interpretation led by an experienced interpreter. BTG provided a small group format (4 students/teacher), great texts books for reference (including a bilingual glossary), and as a bonus it was significantly less expensive. I am already working for one agency and setting up my own company... Life changing.

I took two coaching sessions as well as the Bridging the Gap class with Prisma International Corporation as part of a package that Prisma offers. Prisma International Corporation is highly knowledgeable about medical interpreting and her teaching style is clear, supportive, and effective. I took her Bridging the Gap class and she really does teach the class so that you know the subject matter like the back of your hand. Her teaching style helps you to reinforce the subject matter, so that you are able to deal with situations that may arise in interpreting. The class is intensive and I feel prepared to take the national CCHI exam this Fall and I am looking forward to it!

In our coaching sessions, we went over strategies for me to get to a higher level in Spanish. What I liked the most was that in addition to giving me suggestions to improve my Spanish, she also analyzed how effective those strategies were and was able to point me in the right direction. After speaking with her, I have had native speakers tell me that they can hear a difference in my speaking abilities. She also provides honest feedback for your ideas which I have found to be valuable. We also reviewed simultaneous interpreting which for me is one of the hardest modes of interpreting. In our coaching session, she proposed different options for difficult situations and guided me through the best approach. She also asks questions to see if you are getting what you want out of the coaching sessions, so that she can help you in the best way possible. She has helped me to feel confident in pursuing a career in medical interpreting. I found her to be very competent and I would not hesitate to recommend her. Prisma International Corporation is a great company and I am so glad that I took the Bridging the Gap course and the coaching sessions.
