They have a fabulous 'sales pitch'! Thats where it ends! Premier Pools is by far the worst vendor we ve ever hired. Their sales process is good, and they seem to have lots of successful projects by their own claim, but I cant find a happy customer now. They dug our backyard up in November 2011 for a pool, now 6 months later, we have an unfinished mess that is only 50% complete on May 12, 2012. Their expected completion date upon signing their contract was late January, early February. What a joke. Here is what we have expereinced: 1. They do not have, or attempt to develop, a work schedule. We ve asked for a schedule repeatedly. 2. They do not return calls, or messages. Sometimes for weeks. 3. They get very upset at the customer if something is done wrong, and you ask them to fix it 4. They constantly do steps in the wrong order, not thinking about what they ll have to go back and undo later. This causes the majority of the delays. 5. They scream and yell on the phone, when you finally do get them to answer (foul cursing included) 6. They claim to be so busy, we have 18 pools going when all we care about is regular progress on ours. 7. They blame us, the customer, for the delays, claiming that you forced us to make that change 8. They have claimed sveral times that we had to fire several employees this week . My question is why? My summary of these people is that that they are completely unprofessional, have very little knowledge of the building trade, and use any sales tactic they can to convince you of their capabilities ahead of the project, then you realize they are way over their heads. I would stay far, far away from Ed, Anna, Tommy, Tim, or anyone else that claims to be from Premier Pools and Patios, Inc of TN.

It shows that Ed and Anna were arrested and pled guilty for doing this in Mississippi.

I love how anna says "hire and engineer" and "would not run sewer lines illegally" What a batch of lies. They tried to fixed our PVC with duct tape. Call the state and report the idiots.

WOW! Add us to this list. Everything that has been stated has happened to us too. Luckily our pool is finished, but the process was exactly as others have described. Like others we were told 8-10 weeks and it was about 1 year! But of course, according to Ed and Anna the delays were our fault. As others stated work was done in the incorrect order and when we asked about that we were told that they are the professionals and we are too particular. We also heard the same excuses about surgeries, firing people, it might rain later in the week so they were not planning on coming out at all that week (or month). When we complained to different agencies, Premier included many inaccuracies and even lied about our project and our interactions. Do not expect return calls or e-mails from them. If you really need to get a hold of them, call from a different phone line because they will think it is new business.

We filed a complaint against Premier with the Nashville Better Business Bureau on August 15. They have not responded. I spoke to a representative from the TN Department of Commerce and Insurance this morning. He suggested next course of action is to file a complaint with the state. If enough individuals file complaints against the business the department of Commerce will turn the matter over to the Attorney General who can file a class action law suit. At the very least, Commerce will put the business on the "Buyer Beware" list and could pull their business license. We are completing the complaint form with all of our supporting documentation. I won't get into all the mess and detail on our project, but I can say this...stay far, far away from Ed & Anna Shanks and their family. They are criminals and very unprofessional. They will hurt you if you do business with them.

This is a Company of CROOKS and LIARS - Period - This is a simple "shell game" nothing more - They will tell you every possible thing that you want to hear and it is only geared towards getting your next check. Ed & Anna are full of excuses and lies at every turn. If you are reading this, you are potentially considering them, you may have seen their ads, DO NOT DO IT. They will rip you off as they did me, I had a pool that went over 90 days with nothing more than a hole dug and the steel walls of a shell - No inspections, and apparently no payments to their supplier (they sent me a notice that Ed owed them so much money that they were threatening to put a lien on my property) - I had subs showing up at my door looking for payment saying Ed wont call them back, etc. I had to take legal action and am not close to being done. Want to validate this? Pick up the phone and call ANY pool equipment supply house in Nashville and ask if they do business with Premier. Call the city permit office and ask if they have ever had complaints on Premier. I wish there were bad reviews out there when I started this saga - I have spoken with many that are afraid to say anything negative because they genuinely feel they will see their pool get finished - I refuse to be held hostage by ineptitude.

We too are in a horrid situation with Premier Pool and Spa. Here is a listing of the excuses we have been given as to why our pool is yet to be finished in the past 6 months: 1. The concrete guy's wife had emergency surgery- 2. The crew had a tire blow out- 3. Tim was fired today- 4. Tommy had a baby today- 5. Your dirt has "settlement"- 6. Ed had dental work emergency come up- 7. Anna locked her keys in her car-8. One of the crew guys had a heat stroke-9. The weather man lied and said it was supposed to rain, so I canceled your service today. We are now left with a huge mess of an unfinished pool and lie on top of lie. As if things could not get worse, the subcontractors who did some work months ago are now coming to our home and asking us to pay them because Ed and Anna cannot pay the bills. We too are having to file charges against them and we have learned a huge lesson about doing business with certain people.

When I read this complaint, it seemed as if the 'complainer' had been living under our same roof. Exact same issues. They so far have not done one thing correctly, or in the correct order. Our spa had to be torn out, mostly do to the fact that the 'contractors' are never present when major work is being completed. We gave a check for almost $ 12k almost a month ago for coping and tile...PLUS we were told by Ed and Anna that tile should always go on first..supposedly it helps keep a level line for coping. Well, of course they did our coping first, which is not even slightly level. I cannot foresee the finished tile looking good with the waterline, mortar joints etc. I have personally come to the conclusion that they have no money and use monies received from other jobs to complete another. I do have proof to this. My husband is a dentist and did a small amount of work on Ed's teeth...well, a $218.00 check from Anna BOUNCED? It was just returned to the office this week...we have given these guys almost $62k so far and are not past gunite...OH! Forgot to say that while workers were doing coping I realized the waterfalls (3 of them) had not been installed? The waterfalls of course go on BEFORE any tile or coping...these guys are total idiots. All talk, zero follow thru. And yes, we had the whole screaming, yelling, crying dropping the phone from Anna too...we have connections with Channel 4 and are considering contacting.

Premier Pools & Patios contracted to build a pool for this individual as the pool construction was going on the customer told us he wanted us todo a foundation for his future pool house. This reuires engineering plans for retaining walls and other. Premier Poolss told the customer we would not like to do this work due to other projects and work load for the company was not condusive at the time to take on this foundation. The homeowner called threatened to fire Premier on his pool if we did not agree to do this foundation. His exact words were'"You have 5 minutes to tell me you will do this extra work or you will not finish my pool. I will fire you." Against our better judgement we tried to appease him. However, the plans he had were wrong and we had to hire an engineer to fix the mistakes on the plans he had provided to us. In laying out the foundation he wanted us to illegally run sewage lines etc. of course we said no and he threw a fit and said he would do it himself. Being a reputible company and legitimate company we had no choice but to notify the proper officials at the building department. They assured it would not reflect on us when he is caught. Premier Pools & Patios won't do anything against the building codes department to jeopardize our company for any customer. Taking offense to this this customer has chosen to manufacture a derogatory review on Premier Pools & Patios. It is unfortunate that people like this will go to any length to get what they want at any expense. In our industry not all projects go perfectly; however, Premier Pools does not avoid taking care of any circumstance that might occur. We take pride in everything we do and have been in the pool business for over 38 years. Sincerely, Premier Pools & Patios, Inc. .
