Pool cover not installed as promise
On 30 November 2016 I paid a deposit of R7138.61 for a pool cover. I was promised more than once that it will be installed before they close for the holidays on 24 December 2016. I still haven't received my cover. It's almost impossible to get hold of any one via the telephone number [protected]) and after a certain Randal Van Wyk replied on a email 2 days ago (stating he will look into it), I still haven't heard of him...
Terrible Service, Lies & bad quality products
We installed a Energy Guard pool cover from Power Plastics in March 2010. Since we have bought it we have had problems with eyelets breaking, roll up station was never properly secured & empty promises. Eventually we asked for the roll up station to be replaced or repaired on 20/01/11. In April 2011 we still had no resolution.We were informed that Leroy Arendse who was assisting us was on honeymoon & that there was no job card or backup of our complaints (4 months later!). Carolyn Idas (Operations Manager) tried to assist us.Again empty promises! My wife wrote an official complaint on the 20/04/11 & Stephen Doyle (General Manager) entered the scene & also made promises. Its August & our torn cover, broken pool tiles & disfunctional roll up station is still lying at home. Mr Doyle promised after a site visit on 27/07/11 that I would receive confirmation that they would replace the cover, install an industrial roll up station & replace & fix all our tiles by the 28/07/11. After receiving nothing for 2 weeks I called Mr Doyle & asked if this was another delay tactic. I received the mail on the 04/08/11 promising the cover would be removed on 10/08/11. Suprise no phone call or action! Its the 16th August and almost exactly 8 months since we lodged our 1st complaint and still we have had no action.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.

I agree wholeheartedly. I paid R9000 deposit early January and a further R1200 in February based on actual measurement. The arrangement was that the cover would be installed mid February but have not heard a word and impossible to contact the Cape Town office as no one ever answers. Recent general email states that due to pressure of work load delivery time is now 2 weeks instead of 1. I have been waiting 6 weeks. Maybe one day!
