The young man claiming to be Nick Famularo said he was participating in a fundraiser to buy magazines for a Children's Charity (he showed me a list of the magazines that the kids picked out themselves) and also to help him go to Hawaii for a football tournament (supposedly their team placed 5 out of 107). Saying he lived down the street (naming our Street) and did I ever see his Mother with long black hair walking their two big dogs. He also stated his Father was in construction and he helped his Dad and if I needed anything done around the house like painting-home repairs- pressure cleaning he would come back and do it for free. After I wrote out the check for (1) child at $51.00 something told me to double check the company online and low and behold my guts were right. I immediately called my bank to place a stop payment on the check. It's better than letting them get away with a scam. I already give to charities that I believe in every month. I just fell for this seemingly "Nice" young man wanting to help the kids and him out.
