PonyIsland I love this site!

I’ve been a member of this site for years- and have found it an overall positive experience. I am mostly into breeding. I love playing with the gen and the dream gen.

Yes, there are rules. Whenever a new person introduces themselves on the forums someone inevitably makes sure to mention the rule guide- sometimes via link and sometimes by telling them where it’s located (at the bottom of every page)- often times both.

Are the forums strict? Kind of. First of all the game is PG. Yeah, there are more adults than children, but there are still children. Secondly, English isn’t everyone’s first language, so it’s important to write things clearly. Is it annoying when the MODs swoop in to change the title of your thread, or hide a comment because you didn’t write it by the rules- sure. But no more annoying than I find it to read paragraphs With Every First Letter Capitalized, For Reasons. KnOw WHat I meAn? ENOUGH OF THIS FOR NOW. Mab more L8R.

Seriously, it’s not even that big of an inconvenience. Many/most adults on the site have discord. If you’re vibing with someone on the forums, and want to be friends and have conversations that aren’t PG, just take it to Discord.

A few years ago I put in an application for the PIE team (extravaganza. A week of games and events. There are four a year) I was accepted and it was a very fun year; it was also a lot of work. In doing so, I had many encounters with MODS and site artists, something that I hadn’t had before this experience- I found them to be very kind and giving people.

They act like they run the site… because they run the site. The admin isn’t interested in it- it is what it is. They put in so much of their time and effort into this site. They make items, host events like the extravaganzas, birthday celebration, Christmas in July and the Advent Calendar to name a few- all things that they don’t HAVE to do. They make new genes. They make new pony breeds, and have to fix thousands of items to go over them, so that they are wearable to said new breeds. MODS and artists get DVS slots for their work (which imo is well earned, with the amount of work hrs they are clocking)- if their friends have more DVSs than us normal users- it’s because they often gift those slots to their friends instead of using it themselves. It’s not a huge mystery, and it’s their slots to do with what they will. Not to mention that every week you can find someone on the forums selling a DVS slot- and some people can afford to buy a few.

Every year they take applications for PIE. They occasionally post applications for new MODS to join the team. Applications for the team that picks Pony of the Week. Many opportunities to be more intimately involved.

Recommendation: Just read the rules, and if you’re still unsure send a message to a MOD

PonyIsland PonyIsland.net: A Unique and Fun Experience with Room for Improvement

I looked at all of the reviews written before mine, and I see both sides.

I ain't never been banned, but I have never had a good experience with the mods or people who run the site, those folks is somethin' else. Most reviews don't mention the site's history, but it started with a couple and after they broke up, only one of the creators remained, the one who codes the site, and they didn't have nearly as much emotional investment. That gave the mods the power to do whatever they wanted, and it ain't pretty. The creator that left had a lot more involvement, and things seemed a whole lot more fair before she bounced. I've been active for 13 years and ain't won jack despite playing for that long. It ain't hard to notice the mods' friends get all the good gear from events, even if the mods themselves can't win. I also received some uncalled-for emails from the mods being all passive-aggressive and rude to me personally, even though I rarely participate in the social stuff on the site. I ain't done anything to warrant a warning, but apparently, they give those out like candy. That's disturbing, especially since it's a site for kids.

On the other hand, PonyIsland.net is an absolutely amazing site that's always given me a fun place to go and play with ponies and genetics. The layout is unlike anything I've ever seen, and there's nothing out there like it. I appreciate that they don't advertise the site and make the community too big. I've grown up with this site, and I ain't plannin' on leaving anytime soon. I would love to see some changes in leadership or honest people leading the important stuff on the site, but it's still an amazing place.

At the end of the day, it's worth spendin' the $14 to try the site out. Folks spend more than that every month on Netflix, and this here site might just give ya a relationship that lasts 13 years or more with a unique and fantastic place that's far different from anything else you'll come across these days. It's quite the interesting place that's got a lot of potential. Go ahead and support the creator, and let's pressure the bad parts out. Most importantly, have fun!

PonyIsland Unjust Moderators Ruin the Fun: My Review of Pony Island

Pony Island ain't all it's cracked up to be. Let me tell ya, them moderators are something else. They don't play fair and they'll ban ya for anything. They got a thing called the God Squad that's supposed to make final calls, but all they do is stick up for their fellow mods. Ain't no justice in that.

Let me give ya an example of their madness. My friend made some art for one of their events using a simple picture of a bowl of fruit as reference. Ain't nothing wrong with that, right? But these mods, they put an art ban on my friend just like that. And when my friend tried to explain and contest the ban, they didn't wanna hear it. All they said was tough luck, you're banned forever.

I mean, come on now. Ain't nobody perfect and everyone deserves a second chance. And for these mods to keep a forever mark on my friend's account without even considering their side of things is just plain wrong. Especially when we're paying good money to be a part of this game.

It's a shame, really. 'Cause aside from these power-hungry mods, Pony Island could be a great game. Maybe the admins need to think about giving these God Squad folks a time limit or something. Just anything to make sure they ain't abusing their power.

PonyIsland Misleading Rules Page & Terrible Customer Service at PonyIsland.net - My Experience

I want to talk about my recent experience with PonyIsland.net. I joined this site a few months ago and I have really enjoyed it. However, my experience quickly turned sour when I was suspended for a rule I had no idea about.

On the sign-up page, there is a link to the "Rules" section. However, when I clicked on it, I was directed to the TOS page instead. I had no way of knowing about the official rules until a mod sent me a link in my resolve ticket. I was shocked to learn that I had violated a rule I was never informed about.

I reached out to the mods to explain my situation and shared screenshots of our communication as well as a video of the faulty link. I told them I fully intended to pay for the unpaid accounts on my payday but they ignored me. They asked me to mark the ticket as resolved even though my suspension was still in place and the issue remained unresolved.

I sent several more messages but never received a response. After waiting for over 3 hours, I decided to take matters into my own hands and clicked the resolved button. PonyIsland.net's actions were frustrating and left me feeling like they don't value their customers.

I did my research and found out that I'm not the only one who has had this issue. This makes me believe that PonyIsland.net is an unethical business that purposely deceives its users.

I decided to request a full refund from them through PayPal. If they refuse to refund me, I will inform PayPal about their deceitful actions. PonyIsland.net closed my accounts as soon as I requested a refund, but I have yet to see any money back from them. I will wait the usual 3-5 business days before taking further action.

Overall, I feel extremely annoyed and disappointed with my experience with PonyIsland.net. I would not recommend using their services to anyone.

PonyIsland PonyIsland Review: A loyal artist's disappointment with the site's degradation and lack of listening to feedback

I've been a loyal artist on PonyIsland for over a decade now, drawing ponies and characters for every page and the splash page since way back in 2005. It's been quite a journey, and while there have definitely been some changes for the better, sadly I've seen the site degrade as well.

When I first started, I was the only artist for years. But as the workload grew, I knew I needed help. So I started an artist group and got some fellow artists on board. Sure, I didn't see much of ZarqX, but VeeZ was always there to lend an ear and help improve any artwork that needed it. Suggestions and criticism were always welcome to make PI even better.

Then, the admins decided to improve the website and make it look even better. But when they redid the art on the splash page and replaced all my characters for each page with someone else's work, it felt like a punch in the gut. They even started redoing my own items with other artists' work.

And when ZarqX and VeeZ split, everything went downhill fast. ZarqX decided to hand over control to some leaders, who quickly began using their newfound power to run the website however they pleased. In 2018, the artist group leader that I had started even kicked me out!

And when new breeds were introduced in 2019, I tried to remind them that they really needed to look like ponies. I mean, the website is called "PonyIsland" for a reason, right? But they just wouldn't listen, and mods even began calling me snarky just for trying to help. Finally, I couldn't take it anymore and left the site for good.

I've seen the site's future plans, and it's safe to say that the new breeds simply won't look anything like ponies. The other mods really didn't care about that, though—they wanted me gone as soon as possible so that they could have more freedom to do what they wanted with the website.

One issue that was particularly troubling to me was the release of too many items during events. It started with just five, but then twenty or more items were released during Christmas. They did also start releasing some items in packs of two or three, but to my mind, it just really took the fun out of obtaining rare items. Because honestly, there's no such thing as a "rare" item anymore.

All in all, the mods and artists seem to be the only ones making all of the decisions on the site, regardless of what anyone else has to say. And if you dare to disagree or post anything that's not to their liking? Well, be prepared to have your post or thread deleted. If you have any problems, don't expect a mod or artist to help you out.

If you do decide to play PonyIsland, just make sure you're aware of the risks.

PonyIsland PonyIsland Review: MODs Rule, Admin AWOL & Rare Items Non-Existent in Frustratingly Rule-Bound & Hypocritical Site

Admin is really not involved with PonyIsland at all, they've given all the power to the MODs. The admin didn't even come up with the rules of the site, the MODs did. The MODs are the ones who determine who the "cool kids" are and they even go so far as to give out expensive items to those they favor. However, there's no free speech on this site. If you try to say something like "hey, I'm saving up for this item so I'm selling stuff," you'll get in trouble. You're also not allowed to capitalize more than one letter in a sentence. And if you happen to say something in a discussion that the MODs don't agree with, they'll just erase it and say you were being "mean-spirited." It's ridiculous!

It's almost like the MODs are on a power trip. They'll even ban users for the simplest of mistakes, like buying a pony from the pony market on a trial account before making it a paid account. They'll also ban you if you accidentally type "zhe" instead of "the" because "chat speak isn't allowed." Which is a bit hypocritical because one of the MODs uses it with her character. It's just really frustrating and it makes you wonder why you're even paying to be on this site.

The rules on PonyIsland are pages and pages long, and there are even more rules for each forum that you HAVE to read. If you don't follow each and every one of them, you'll get banned. It's your responsibility as a user to read and follow them all, which is a bit ridiculous.

Another thing that's really annoying is that you can't bump threads for weeks. You have to wait until your thread falls off the first page, which can take weeks due to the dwindling user base caused by the bullying of users by the MODs.

There's also nothing rare on this site. Even if something was promised to be one-time release, it's been re-released. The "Generator," where you create ponies, has been calibrated twice. White and black used to be difficult to generate, so people spent a lot of time and money breeding and generating them. Then, suddenly, they changed it so that white and black were super easy to get. However, now it's impossible to get close to red, blue, green, yellow, cyan, or magenta. So, all the white and black ponies that people spent lots of time (and money) on have become worthless. And just when you think you have some rare items that were hard to come by, they'll just re-release them as well.

All that being said, the concept of the site is amazing. The artists on the site are really talented, and the breeding possibilities are super addicting. Despite this, the admin has no respect for their long-time users, and the MODs are absolutely atrocious. I've played many virtual pet sites throughout the years, and the MODs on this site are 20 times worse than any other MOD I've encountered.

PonyIsland Mixed Review of PonyIsland: Fun Concept and Community, But Beware of Unfair Modding and Lack of Clear Rules

PonyIsland is a website where you can have a fun time with a cool concept and amazing set up. It's perfect for people who love ponies, and the gaming community is pretty amazing. However, there are some negative points that you should consider before signing up for the site.

One of the biggest issues that I've noticed is that the mods don't always follow their own rules. They often find workarounds and hand out bans for minor mistakes. For example, they will ban you for posting too many sales threads within a week. They are also known for permanently banning users for art theft, and sometimes they even ban people for stealing their own artwork. I know this because a friend of mine was banned for such a reason.

Another problem is that the forums are heavily modded. You might get banned for posting something in the wrong forum, even if your topic matches the forum post. For instance, if you have a breeding project and post examples in a Discussion forum, your thread will be moved to Show and Tell, then deleted because it's not a "Show & Tell" post. This has happened to many users on the site.

The site is also unstable, and there are no refunds for downtime, which can be frustrating. Admins seem to have some ownership issues, which limits the new content updates. Unfortunately, you are also never allowed to criticize the way they run the site or even the mods, unless you personally know them. If they find out that you're insulting them, you might get banned or worse.

Another downside is that the rules are not in a clean, easy-to-read guide. They are scattered all around the site. This makes it difficult for new members to find relevant rules and get banned for breaking them. You have to go on a rules scavenger hunt to ensure that you're not breaching any rules.

Despite all of this, there are some upsides to PonyIsland as well. The non-mod community is friendly, caring, and always ready to help. The gameplay is pretty fun if you can manage to avoid getting banned by the mods. Unfortunately, there are too many downsides of the site, including the lack of clear rules, frequent downtime, and mod bans.

In conclusion, I would recommend you to stay away from this website. It might not be worth it to pay for an account that could be banned at any time for minor mistakes. It's better to find other similar websites where you don't have to worry about getting banned for small things.

PonyIsland Biased MODs and Harassment: My Experience on PonyIsland

Yo, so I've been browsing PonyIsland and gotta say, there's a lotta chatter around the rules. Now, personally, I don't think following the rules is all that hard - I mean, just don't use chat speak or acronyms and you're good to go, right? But lemme tell ya, the real headache comes when the MODs start playin' favorites.

You see, rules are rules, and they should be enforced equally for everyone. But it seems like if you're a well-known pal of somebody on the MOD team, you can pretty much get away with breaking the rules scot-free. Case in point: I reported a player for using chat speak, and if they were a nobody, their post got hidden in a jiffy and I got a quick thank-you note from a MOD. But if it was one of the MODs' friends, suddenly they didn't do anything about it and I got an earful about why it was totally okay. Even though it was the same offense! What gives, man?

And don't even get me started on the harassment. Apparently, messaging somebody who's blocked you is a one-way ticket to ban-city. But I got threatened by somebody who had blocked me, and when I reported 'em, nothing happened. Worse yet, whenever I reported them for harassing me, the MODs actually threatened ME! They said that if I reported 'em again, they'd ban me instead. Like, that's some backwards cow-manure if you ask me.

Oh, and speaking of rule-breaking, how 'bout that time a MOD actually advocated for using macros in contests? Y'know, something that's supposed to be against the rules? I had to call 'em out on it, and they just shrugged it off like it was no biggie. But if somebody else did it, they'd be banned in a heartbeat. Double standards much?

The whole administration of the site is just a hot mess, honestly. Most of the folks playing are adults, which is fine, but they're not exactly friendly to the kiddos playin' as well. There's a lot of bullying that goes on, and the MODs themselves are no exception. They've even let threads stay up on the forums that trash-talk ALL the kids playing! Like, they say they're kid-friendly, but they sure don't act like it.

Honestly, the rules aren't even the problem here. It's the fact that the MODs play favorites, they're not doing anything about the rampant harassment, and they're just lettin' these bullies run amok. I mean, is it really worth the hassle to even bother playing anymore, especially with all the focus shiftin' to items? Smh.

PonyIsland PonyIsland.net Review: Strict Copyright Rules and Dwindling Player Base Make it Not Worth the Investment

I've been playing PonyIsland.net, the pony breeding sim game, for over a decade now. I've even created unique pony art for other players, using a retro 80s My Little Pony style for baby ponies, and have been doing so since 2012. Recently, I was caught using a copyrighted image as a reference for my art and was suspended without the opportunity to plead my case. The mods took a strict stance on copyrighted material, not even giving warnings for first-time offenders, which seems overly harsh.

It's frustrating to see the double standard the mods have when it comes to accessories on ponies. These can allude to copyrighted images from movies, shows, and even fictional novel characters, without any repercussions. For example, Stephen King's IT character can be expressed with accessory items and named Pennywise, but creating such an image requires a paid account, thus involving money. It's arbitrary and unfair to punish players for using one copyrighted image as inspiration for their art while turning a blind eye to all the other copyrighted materials used on the site.

What's worse is that their player base is dwindling. In the past decade, the number of players has fallen from 10,000 to just a few thousand, as evidenced by a recent vote on whether Halloween items should be released early, with only 94% of the mere 1,300 players who voted being in favor. To add insult to injury, PonyIsland.net is a cash cow, charging $23 per account for the privilege of playing. Some users even have dozens of accounts, meaning the developers are raking in thousands of dollars annually.

Overall, it's not worth the investment. While I love the game, the rules are overly strict, and without warning, suspensions can lead to the loss of all the ponies a player has created. If the developers were to change the rules to allow for warnings and cleanup, it would be a more enjoyable experience for all. But as it stands, I can't recommend it to anyone for such a steep price.

PonyIsland A Review of Ponyisland.net – Is It Worth Your Time and Money?

Hey y'all, I wanna talk about Ponyisland.net, a game website that I've been playing on for a while now. Some of the reviews I've seen out there are pretty biased, so I'm gonna give you my honest opinion on whether it's worth your time and money.

Let's start with how I got into Ponyisland. It's actually pretty funny. I made an account for a friend who didn't have internet access so she could play at my place. I wasn't really into ponies at the time, but the game mechanics made it so we had to take care of our ponies or they'd die. So, I ended up getting hooked too and made my own account. And I have zero regrets.

So, is the game worth the price of admission? Yes, short answer. Long answer? Well, let me tell you more.

First off, there are twenty different pony breeds to choose from, and countless genes split into body, hair, leg, and face categories. Some genes are realistic, while others are pure fantasy. The breed selection is really inventive too, with iconic breeds like Unicorns and Pegasi, but also unique ones like Phoenix Ponies and Merdragons.

Breeding is a big part of the game too. You have to create a good pony within as few generations as possible and aim for a Double Visible Starter Offspring. There's lots of terminology to learn, but it's not as complicated as it may seem. The more you breed, the more you can customize your ponies, and the better chance you have at winning contests.

But breeding isn't the only thing to do on Ponyisland. You also have to feed and vet your ponies, which costs Ponygold. You earn Ponygold and Bonus Points by questing and contesting your ponies, which also levels up their stats. And you can customize your interface and home island too.

There are also lots of artists, adoptables, forums, and groups that have even more exclusive content. And most people on the forums are pretty friendly.

Now, let's talk about the community. Some people think the rules are too stingy, but it's all designed to keep trolls and other toxic people out, while still letting the general public in. But the community is divided into four camps. The old loyal friends of the admin, the bitter old guard, the average consumer (like me), and the consumer who wants their money's worth.

There's obviously some bias among the mods, but in my experience, they've been very fair and accommodating. And they're actually more lenient than the rules would make you think. The rules are all in their respective forums, but it's not a big deal.

So, is Ponyisland worth it? It costs $23 per account per year, but you can sell Ponygold and Bonus Points for real money if you hoard enough. And the game is solid with tons of interesting ponies and breeding projects. The community has its issues, but as long as you're not a jerk about it, it's not as bad as some people make it out to be.

So, if you're a fan of ponies, I definitely recommend giving Ponyisland a try.

PonyIsland Beware of Security and Financial Risks: An Unbiased Review of PonyIsland

I used to play this game when I was younger and it really helped me get into art and genetics! However, there are some major issues with PonyIsland that people should be aware of. Despite being a pay-to-play game, there are some serious security and financial safety hazards that make me question the platform's credibility. For instance, they lack basic security features that you would find on most other websites. This is especially concerning since they handle ongoing payments. Additionally, the admins seem to care more about whether they like users, such as children, rather than assessing claims and enforcing rules fairly. This behavior ended up protecting those who took financial advantage of minors despite the nature of the game itself.

I recently decided to return to PonyIsland after being absent for years due to some major issues that I had when I was a teenager. Unfortunately, things didn't go so well this time around. One of the biggest issues I encountered was trying to recover my old accounts. Since I couldn't remember my login details, I tried searching my email but to no avail. When I tried to reset my password, I realized I needed to provide my username and email, but I wasn't sure which email was tied to my account or what my usernames were. This Catch-22 left me no choice but to contact support, but I couldn't do that without being logged in! I finally decided to create a trial account just so I could use the advanced search tool, only to find that I couldn't delete the account later.

After a few days, I was able to recover my old account and two other sub-accounts. But then, I was banned from the site for two weeks for having an unpaid trial account. I reached out to support, explained the situation, and done my best to provide evidence that I had tried everything else I could think of to recover my accounts. Despite my best efforts, staff repeatedly ignored my inquiries and even called me immature and disrespectful. I was shocked by this behavior. Even though I was upset as a child when I was scammed out of hundreds of dollars by fellow users and ended up being permanently banned from art, I apologized outright and accepted staff's decisions. Nonetheless, it seemed staff were uninterested in discussing the situation with me or passing on my feedback.

Overall, the site has a lot of potential and some unique features, such as genetic and color-driven breeding plans, but the flawed systems and poor treatment of paying users, regardless of their age or mental capacity, need to be addressed. Despite the positive impact that PonyIsland once had on my life, I can no longer recommend it.

PonyIsland Disappointing Experience on PonyIsland.net: Moderators Ruin the Fun for Everyone

I've been using PonyIsland.net for quite some time, but I must say, I am disappointed with the overall experience. Despite the fact that players and their cash are important for any game site, the moderators and their clique make all the rules here. They seem to be too proud of themselves and forget about the players who invest their time and money into the site.

Unfortunately, it's not a pleasant interaction when you have an issue on PonyIsland. The moderators are often rude and disrespectful to anyone, regardless of whether they have a real issue or if they are completely innocent. They always seem to be spoiling for a fight and looking for ways to impose their rules. It's very frustrating and can sometimes result in a ban, even if it's your first time making a mistake.

For instance, if you use capital letters, colored text or even words that aren't swear words, you're likely to get banned without warning. These rules may seem a little strict, but it's nothing compared to the moderators' need to control everything on the site. They seem to forget that the site is supposed to be fun for everyone, not just for them.

All in all, I suggest you save your time and money when it comes to PonyIsland.net. There are so many other great pet simulations out there that provide a less stressful and more enjoyable experience. PonyIsland may have been great at some point, but it has become too restrictive and not worth your investment anymore. I hope the moderators will take heed and make changes for the better.

PonyIsland PonyIsland Review: Decent Breeding Game but Poor MODS Behavior

PonyIsland is one of those games where you can breed adorable virtual ponies and show them off to the community. It's a pretty average breeding game overall, with a nice collection of artwork and a decent number of breeding options available. The game's designers are top-notch, and the art community is incredibly talented, but in the end, it's not something that stands out among others in the same genre.

If you're looking for a more immersive and exciting virtual pet game, then Flight Rising might be a better option for you. I find that Flight Rising has a lot more to offer, and the gameplay experience is much more engaging.

One thing that I need to mention about PonyIsland is the quality of their MODS. To be honest, they are HORRIBLE. In my experience, they are often unwilling to listen to the players and often make things much worse. Their behavior undermines the overall goal of having a fair and enjoyable gaming experience for everyone.

After several years of playing, I eventually quit the game due to the behavior of their MODS. They played favorites and made things uncomfortable if you were not part of their clique. Unless you constantly tried to kiss up to them, you were treated unfairly and made to feel unwelcome.

Overall, I would advise investing your money and time into games where the staff genuinely cares about your experience, and you feel comfortable being a part of the community. Unfortunately, PonyIsland doesn't offer that.

PonyIsland Unfair Treatment of Users, Biased Mods, and Expensive Fees - My Review of PonyIsland

So, I was on this website called PonyIsland and I gotta say, it's pretty expensive. Like, you gotta pay between $23 and $28 a YEAR to have ONE account. That's crazy, right? But what's even crazier is that if you abuse the BBC code by posting in all color, you can get banned. Like, seriously? I didn't know that. And I'm not the only one. I've seen a lot of users get banned for that.

But here's the thing, the mods on this site ain't much help. They're super authoritative and biased. It's like they have their own little clique and if you're not in it, good luck getting any help from them. And get this, they get gifted really rare and expensive ponies for "modding" the site. And then they gift them to their little friends who are in the cool group. It's like, come on man, that's not fair.

And if you try to suck up to the mods by using chat speak or misspelling words, you're screwed. That'll get you banned too. So, it's like you gotta be perfect or you're outta there.

It's just sad to see the users who actually keep this site going getting treated like garbage. Like, they're the reason PonyIsland is still around today. Without them, the mods wouldn't have anything to mod. But some users think it's funny to watch others get abused and cheated on. That's just despicable, man.

Overall, I think PonyIsland is a cool site, but it's got some issues to work out. They need to be fairer to their users and not let the mods abuse their power. And they need to cut back on the banning for small things like misspelled words or using all color in a post. It's just not right.

PonyIsland Unfair Treatment & Corrupt Moderation: A Review of PonyIsland for Serious Players

This place, PonyIsland, has been switchin' stuff around so dang much I lost count. Ain't no point in spendin' any money on this site 'cause they don't give a hoot about loyalty or respectin' their long-time players. They'll even spit in yer face. The game play is all controlled by the mods, not the admin. It's all about pickin' favorites on this site, and there's this user named JWard who is two-faced as heck and is on PIE, some kinda group who celebrates stuff. She went and told like 20 players not to contact her for made-up reasons, and now, thanks to the site rules, those players can't even participate in events even though they're PAYIN' to be on the site in the first place. It's the craziest dang thing I ever saw. When you first come to PonyIsland, you'll be all, "Wow this is so freakin' cool!" but before too long, reality will hit ya and you'll start realizin' how big-time censored and corrupt this site is. But if yer a kid aged 10-12, it might be aight to play on. As long as you ain't expectin' to get too serious about buildin' up characters or playin' the game for real, then this place might be safe enough for ya. Just be careful not to say nothin' on them discussion boards.

PonyIsland PonyIsland: Restrictive Rules, Mod Abuse, and Artist Repellent - A Real Issue

Rules on PonyIsland are so restrictive, it's ridiculous. MOD Abuse and Mod Favoritism happen more often than not, and it's disheartening to see that some users haven't experienced it at all, yet they still deny that it's a real issue. Let me tell you, it IS a real issue on this site, and it's more prevalent here than on any other site I've been on. The approach they have is so non-empathetic and belittling, and asking for help is usually frowned upon. As someone who's been using this site since 2005 on and off, I've seen how admin has done old users dirty too. It's just not fair at all.

If you're an artist, stay away from this site because the rules they have are infinite and ridiculous. Even some God-level artists have been driven away from PonyIsland. It's such a shame because this site used to be a fun place for artists to showcase their talents, but now it's just a mess. My advice is that if you want to make some pretty ponies, go ahead and put in $14, but don't invest any real money into this site. You never know when your account could get taken away or when all the stuff you bought could become worthless in a blink of an eye.

Overall, I'm done with this site for good and I'm not looking back. It's just not worth it anymore, and I hope that they can improve their rules and their approach to users in the future.

PonyIsland Unfair Suspension and Customer Service on PonyIsland - A Fan's Review

Me and my whole dang family are a bunch of PonyIsland fanatics, it's like our favorite game online or something. We've got Lin and Margret and Sue and Ari and Charlie and all them with their own trial accounts, because we can't shell out all that flashy cash for just one account. But then we got hit with the suspension! They said we couldn't have more than one trial account per person, but we never did that, we all just made our own accounts fair and square. I tried to get 'em to see sense, but they were just stubborn as a mule.

The biggest, baddest thing about it all is that there ain't even no rule about it in the official rules section! But they just don't care about nothin' except money, I guess. They told us we had to pick which account we wanted to keep and ditch the rest, but that's like asking us to pick our favorite child, it just ain't happening. Lin wouldn't give up her ponies for a million bucks, and neither would the others. We were all torn up about it, 'cause we couldn't play on none of our accounts without the fear of getting suspended again.

The staff and support people we talked to were meaner than a snake with a toothache, too. They basically told us to kick rocks, because we were too broke to play or something. I can tell you right now, that ain't no way to treat customers. Especially considering how doggone expensive it is to play for real. I mean, the trial accounts can barely do nothin' as it is, and then they wanna take them away from us too?

PonyIsland is a great game, don't get me wrong. We love our ponies and all the cool stuff you can do in the game. But dang, they need to be more understanding of us poor folks who can't afford to play for real. If things don't change, we might just have to up and leave for good. Which is a real shame, 'cause we've spent so much time and effort getting our ponies just right.

PonyIsland PonyIsland Review: Stunning Artwork & Unique Features, but Control Freak Mods & Admins

I love PonyIsland, especially the artwork, it's so amazing. The best thing about PonyIsland is that you can breed ponies, I think that's such a cool feature. However, I have to say, if I knew that the admins and mods were such control freaks, I wouldn't have joined in the first place.

I really like my account now, and I've spent a lot of money on it, so I work hard to keep it up. But I'm really getting tired of those messages, glowing in red, that I keep receiving. They keep telling me that my posts are in the wrong place or forum or whatever. I mean, I wrote a post about breeding in the "Advanced Breeding" forum and it was moved to "Generator Tips" or someplace like that just because someone mentioned color combos. Come on.

Also, if you suggest anything that requires some effort or work, you just get bashed and scolded. They always ask, "Why would you do that to the poor MODs and ADMIN?!" I mean, seriously? The only ideas that they're even interested in are suggestions about new S-Genes and if you're lucky, a new breed.

Another thing that really sucks is that you're not even allowed to tell people if you're pregnant or anything like that on the forums. What's up with that?

To be honest, the bottom line is that you can't give your opinion on anything. You can't even talk about yourself properly. And for crying out loud, you can't even show that you're unhappy. You just have to smile and pretend that you love the admins and mods. And you have to keep repeating, "We pay for wonderful coding and hard work. We're lucky to be graced with such a site and have no thoughts and opinions of our own."

Despite all these issues, I still love PonyIsland. The artwork and the features are amazing. However, I wish the admins and mods were more accepting and open-minded. It would be so much better if they valued the opinions of their users. I hope they can improve their attitude towards their users in the future.

PonyIsland Unfair Mod Practices and Extortionate Prices Ruined My Experience on Ponysland

Me been hangin' around Ponysland for quite some years now. At da beginning I was basically a lil' scribbler, tryna get better at my art, ya know? But the mods on there, they thought they can take advantage of me and my art and all that jazz. They knew I could draw pretty fast and good, and they kept pushin' me and pushin' me to break my word when one of da players didn't keep their side of da deal. But I wasn't no fool, and I wasn't gonna let nobody pressure me into nothin'.

So I stood up to 'em, every step of da way, even when they was givin' me all them short-term bans. I always tried to stay respectful, cuz I really liked the site, ya know? But they got so power-hungry and unjust, they even banned me altogether! I ain't even allowed to take on no customers anymore, just cuz I refused to break an agreement that they wanted me to ignore.

And listen to this - they still trackin' me down to this day, even though I ain't even been going on the site no more. Ain't nobody on there ever knew my side of da story, cuz I just wanted to keep things peaceful and whatnot. But them mods, they was straight-up lovin' all that attention they was gettin' and all that "support" they thought they had.

Don't get me started on the prices either! If you wanna have multiple accounts, you gotta pay for every single one, just to keep it up for a whole year or half a year. That's just plain extortion if ya ask me.

Overall, I ain't gonna lie, my time on Ponysland was pretty much ruined by the mods and their behavior. I hope they get a handle on it one day, so others don't gotta go through what I went through.

PonyIsland PonyIsland website review: Poor customer service, bad servers, constant downtime, and abusive moderators. Stay away!

The people who run the PonyIsland website are not helpful. They can be rude and they do not care about their customers. If you get banned from the site, you will not be able to appeal it. This is because the admin, "Veez," believes that if the moderator says you were wrong, then you were wrong, no matter what. Bans are given out way too often, even if you are a paying customer. Even worse, if you are banned permanently, you will not get your money back.

The website is not very good either. It goes down a lot because of the crappy servers they use. The admin will blame the servers and claim that it is necessary to charge users $30 a year, but they will not give you any extra time or refunds because of the downtime. When the site is actually up, it is still very slow, even on fast internet connections. This is because they use bad servers that cannot handle the amount of traffic to the site.

Every hour, for about five minutes, the site becomes unusable due to something called the "hourly tick." The admin "Zarqx" is too lazy to fix this, so you will lose about two hours of your day, every day, if you use the site. This means that out of the 12 months you pay for, 30.4 days will be completely unusable. It is crazy!

Finally, the moderators and admins do not like to be criticized. They will bully users on the forums and, if you criticize them, you will be banned, like so many others. This creates a culture of fear among users who are afraid to speak out about problems they see. This is not a very good way to run a website!

The way this site is run is terrible. It is shameful that the admin, Zarqx, even thinks it is a good example of his coding and web design skills. Instead of creating more bad sites, he should focus on fixing this one!

PonyIsland Questions of Fairness and Moderation on PonyIsland Virtual Pony World

I gotta say, I never had any problems with PonyIsland myself, but I've seen some stuff go down that makes me question the fairness of it all. Like, for example, the Mods have access to all these super valuable items that they just hand out to whoever they want. And sometimes they sell them for like, hundreds of dollars on the forums! It's crazy!

Meanwhile, us regular folks gotta either buy these items from other players or hope we get lucky in a giveaway. And most people only have, like, one or two of the good items. It just doesn't seem fair that the Mods and their pals have all the good stuff.

And you can't even question them about it or else you might get kicked off the site! I've seen it happen! It's like they can do whatever they want and no one can say anything about it. And it's not like we even know if the Mods are getting paid or not. They say they're all just volunteers, but come on, they've been around forever and they all seem to be really good friends. It seems fishy to me.

And the rules! Oh man, the rules are so confusing sometimes. And if you accidentally break one, even if it's just a little one, you could get like, a warning or something. And if you get three warnings, you're out! It's crazy!

I mean, the game itself is fun. It's a cute little virtual pony world and you can do all sorts of stuff with your ponies. But if you wanna stay out of trouble, you really gotta avoid the forums and just keep to yourself. It's kinda sad, really. But I guess that's just how it is.
