Ponds On Midway HOA review: Damage to property by subcontractor

We lived in this HOA for 7.5 years.
A couple years ago with lots of snow the HOA hired a subcontractor to come and move the snow away from the driveways as snow banks were so high. In doing this the fellow hit our sewer system pipe which is located near the street. When this happened my husband went to talk to the subcontractor and told him he had hit and damage was most likely done.
My husband also called the VP of the HOA Dave Johnson relaying the information to him. He stated they did not have monies for this and to file with our insurance. We had condo ins for our condo and the no coverage for it. We explained to the VP that the subcontractor was the person responsible for the damage and was hired by the HOA.
Upon selling our condo and closing on it on 6/29/2026 the Town of Thompson requires and inspection of the sewer line. Ours did not pass inspection due to the damage done by the sub contractor.
We were then required to put monies in escrow to fix the sewer line. This should have been addressed with the subcontractor.
The subcontractor hired by the HOA was Smith & Co - Boyd Smith [protected].
In this HOA rules and bylaws only apply to certain members. This has been done repeatedly. This is just one me more example.
