Poetry Shih Tzu Homes review: I bought a puppy that was never delivered

I bought a Shih Tzu (Aubrey) from Poety Shih Tzu Homes for $740 on June 4, 2020. They supposedly were sending the dog the next day by airline. On June 5. June 5 I got an email to call Empress Airlines ASAP; we had to purchase a hard dog carrier for $980, but would be refunded $950 when we took possession of Aubrey. The breeder had only provided a soft one. The email said the flight left at 11:00 from Oklahoma. (It was 10:00). When I called the number : (202) 217-6745 there was no answer. A message said to leave my number, they would call me back. They didn't. The flight given to me was Regional Jet 7, Empress Jet Airlines. Aubrey's reservation was as Animal 4244 Regional Jet Reservation #ESF304878515. I called 4 times in the hour... no response. I started researching later and found this is a common scam. Whether the "breeder"and"airline" are in partnership or just the breeder lying I don't know. I E-mailed breeder several times to formalize the payment of $740 before June 4, no response until the last day before the fight. The breeder said the AKC papers were finalized and Aubrey (the female dog) would be sent with a few days supply of food and her blanket. The next day I was sent an email to call the Airlines ASAP. I emailed the breeder saying I would make a complaint unless they paid me back in full. They emailed me back denying any wrong-doing. [protected]@gmail.com).
