Hi Plex Team,
I’m a Plex user and I really appreciate the features and flexibility that Plex provides — it’s an essential part of how I organize and enjoy my media.
However, I’ve encountered an ongoing issue with low-quality trailers being automatically downloaded by Plex. Currently, there is no option to delete a specific auto-downloaded trailer nor to replace it with one of our choosing. The only way to stop the bad trailer from appearing is to disable all online trailers for the entire library, which isn’t ideal for many users.
I’d like to formally request the introduction of a user-selectable option that would allow:
• Removing or blacklisting specific trailers that were downloaded automatically
• Replacing those with trailers the user provides locally
• Choosing from multiple trailer options where available
This would give users much more control over their library experience and help improve overall satisfaction — especially for users who take care in curating their media. Many of us invest time building great libraries, so quality trailer handling matters.
Please consider adding this feature in a future release. I’d be happy to provide more detail or examples if needed.
Thank you for your time and for the continued development of Plex.
Best regards,
