Pixie Mama's Rescue review: Would not return my dog

Two years ago, my 16 year old Maltese dog was stolen from my yard. The yard is completely fenced in and padlocked, but it is a 4 foot chain link fence and can be climbed over. I knocked on every door in the neighborhood, I put up flyers offering a large reward, I checked the shelters and rescues every day. I then found out that the people who had been renting the house next door had moved to Buffalo, New York the same day she was taken, so I started searching Buffalo rescues. I found Pixie Mama's Rescue and there she was. They had renamed her "London" (her name is Darla). I anxiously emailed the rescue and explained the situation to them and asked if they would please scan her for her microchip so that they could return her to me. The lady (I was never given her name) refused. Her comment to me was she didn't need to scan her for a chip because "she was not my dog." I wrote her back and explained she could not know that for sure unless she scanned her for her microchip. Again she refused to scan her. I think I wrote her about 4 times begging her to scan her, that I recognized her to be my dog. Affter all I had lived with her for 16 years, plus she had the same deformities Darla had. Her two front elbows jutted outward and her left eye had a slight issue. She then threatened to report me to the police for harassing her. I didn't know the woman's name, her address or even a phone number to try to reach her. Then, when I went back to "London's Page" she had replaced my Darla, who is a Maltese, with a Yorkie. This woman stole my dog. She should be put in prison. Since Darla was 16 when she was taken, I doubt she would still be alive at 18, but I just was told about this Board, and I think people should be made aware of what this woman is capable of.
