Phoenix Engines Disappointing Experience with Phoenixengine.com's 390 FE Turn Key Engine

I bought a 390 fe turn key engine from phoenixengine.com and after only 1000 miles, I noticed that there was a lot of play in the crank. It was 37 thou, which is way more than the stock 5 thou. This was really concerning to me because I knew that it could cause some serious damage to the engine if it wasn't fixed.

To make matters worse, I also noticed that there was an oil leak coming from the inlet manifold. This was due to the fact that it wasn't skimmed properly, which caused it to contaminate the clutch. I was really disappointed with this because I had high hopes for this engine and I expected it to be of good quality.

I contacted phoenixengine.com to let them know about the issues I was having, but they didn't seem interested in helping me out. This was really frustrating because I had spent a lot of money on this engine and I expected better customer service.

Overall, I would not recommend phoenixengine.com to anyone looking for a reliable engine. The issues I experienced were really concerning and the fact that they weren't willing to help me out just made things worse. If you're looking for a good engine, I would suggest looking elsewhere.

Phoenix Engines Terrible Experience with Phoenix Engines: Poor Quality and No Customer Service

I had a really bad experience with Phoenix Engines (phoenixengine.com). I drove only 1000 miles and the engine started to go bad. I noticed that some parts were badly fitted and fitted incorrectly. The inlet manifold was leaking and letting oil run down the back of the block, into the bell housing and contaminating the clutch. This was due to not being skimmed properly. Additionally, the core plug was placed the wrong way around and the crank thrust bearing was bad. I noticed that there was 37thou play in the flywheel when there should only be 5thou.

I tried to contact Phoenix Engines customer service, but they no longer reply to messages. Their customer service should read "no customer service." I tried to send photos of the issues, but the file seems to be too large to be able to download them. However, I will put them on Facebook so that others can see the problems I encountered.

Overall, I would not recommend Phoenix Engines to anyone. The poor quality of their work and lack of customer service is unacceptable. It's a shame that I had to learn this the hard way.

Phoenix Engines Phoenix Engine Rebuilders: Honest, Skilled, and Reliable Engine Building Services

I've been a car enthusiast for over four decades now, and I must say that my recent visit to Phoenix Engine Rebuilders was nothing short of impressive. The owner, Randy, and I actually used to cruise central back in the day, so it was great to catch up with him and see how his business has grown over the years.

In today's world, it's hard to find a company that offers honesty, integrity, and expertise in engine building at a reasonable price. But with Phoenix Engine, you won't be disappointed. Their staff is knowledgeable and skilled, and they have all the necessary machinery and facilities to produce high-performance engines. What's more, they stand behind what they sell, which is a rare find these days.

One thing that really stood out to me about Phoenix Engine is their Fast Track service. When you opt for this service, your engine is fully run on a test stand, the carburetor is jetted properly, valves are set, and the engine is timed correctly. This means that you receive an engine that is ready to bolt in and run, without having to worry about the critical break-in procedures that are necessary for high-performance engines. And let's face it, not everyone has the knowledge or expertise to do this properly, which can result in engine failure.

I had the opportunity to tour their facility, and I was impressed by the fact that they do all the work in-house. This gives them better quality control, and you can rest assured that you're not getting an assembly-line engine that was thrown together in a few hours just to sell for less money. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. If you want a quality-built motor with quality parts, I highly recommend Phoenix Engine for your next engine build. Randy will work with you to build the engine that is best for your application, and you can trust that you're getting a product that is backed by years of experience and expertise.

In conclusion, if you're looking for a reliable and trustworthy engine builder, look no further than Phoenix Engine. With their Fast Track service, knowledgeable staff, and commitment to quality, you can't go wrong. So why wait? Give them a call today and see for yourself why they're the best in the business!

Phoenix Engines Beware of Phoenix Engine: Former Employee Exposes Shady Business Practices

I gotta tell ya, I used to work for Phoenix Engine back in the day and let me tell you, Randy was one shady character. I mean, I've never met a bigger crook in my life! The guy would quote customers an industry price for a rebuilt engine, even though he was rebuilding it himself. But that's not even the worst part. He would then add an itemized list for everything in the rebuild, effectively charging his customers twice for the same things! Can you believe that?

For instance, new valves were put into any engine rebuilt by the two biggest rebuilders in the state, Engine Supply and Roadrunner Engine. But Randy would call the customer and tell them his valves were worn out of spec and needed to be replaced. He would quote the price for new valves and if the customer balked, he would charge him a lesser amount for a set of valves, the customers original valves! And get this, he did this over the phone and recorded everything! I mean, who does that?

And it wasn't just the customers he was ripping off. He even recorded my calls when I was his store manager. My calls home to my wife when something came up, and calls from my driver when he was picking up parts. It was insane! And when I finally had enough and walked out, he even tried to ruin my reputation by spreading lies that I was selling and buying drugs in his phones. Can you believe that?

But here's the thing, if his son is now running the business, things might be different. So, if you're thinking about spending your hard-earned money with Phoenix Engine, please do your research first. Don't let Randy's shady business practices take advantage of you like he did to so many others.
