What is the difference between PLDT Fibr and DSL?

Both PLDT Home Fibr and DSL can provide a strong reliable internet connection for you and your family. They both provide a stable internet connection. While Direct Subscriber Line (DSL) is an internet connection coming through a telephone line to your modem and does not interrupt your telephone service, Fibr uses fiber optic technology with the Internet connection from light signals that run through thin glass wires. DSL’s download speed is up to 20 Mbps, while Fibr’s speed can go up to 1 Gbps.

How can I get the PLDT Fibr service?

You can get started by applying to a Fibr plan on their website. You will need your ID card to apply and you will receive an email or SMS confirmation after completing the application. Within 2 days their sales team will contact you to verify the details of your application.

 

How many Cignal set-top boxes can I have with my PLDT Home Fibr plan?

You can use a maximum of 3 Cignal TV set-top boxes (STB) on a single Fibr connection. Each TV needs its own STB.

Can I buy just the FamCam without a PLDT Internet Service?

You have to be a new or existing customer of PLDT to get the FamCam.

Can I record a livestream on my PLDT Fam Cam?

Depending on the version you use, you may be able to record. Only the Advanced Fam Cam can record and view videos via the website or using the my-Link App. The basic Fam Cam does not have onboard storage.

Why is my PLDT camera's live video delayed?

Make sure to turn off any other heavy tasks, e.g., downloads, peer-to-peer applications, or audio and video streaming. Closing this should improve the quality of the video.

What if my PLDT FamCam does not work?

Is there a transfer of line fee at PLDT?

Yes, to transfer a line you have to pay the service fee of P1,100.00.

Does PLDT charge for downgrading plans?

Yes, outside of your contract period, you will pay a downgrade fee of Php500.00. If you downgrade within the lock-in period, you will be charged a pre-termination fee in the amount of 3 monthly service fees plus Php500.00.

Is there a fee for a change of number at PLDT?

The service fee for number change is Php300.00.

What if I cannot make calls with PLDT?

You should try turning off the modem for 5 minutes, checking the telephone connection and the telephone handset for any loose wires or damage. If you still need assistance, call the PLDT’s Hotline at 171.
