I've been using PerformanceBike for a while now, as I'm a big fan of biking. However, I don't think I'll be using them again. I ordered a pair of sunglasses for a friend that were on sale, but they never arrived. I called customer service and they told me that they had no record of the order. I was pretty frustrated, but I decided to order them again. Two weeks later, I checked on the order and they still had no record of it. I felt like a bit of a fool, but I ordered them again anyway. Unfortunately, they still didn't arrive, so I ended up buying my friend a nice pair of sunglasses at the local bike shop.

It wasn't until six weeks after my initial order that the sunglasses finally arrived. And to make matters worse, they arrived at full price. I was pretty upset about this, especially since customer service was extremely unhelpful and rude. I understand that mistakes happen, but if they had made any attempt to help me out, I might have continued to buy from them. But as it stands now, I won't be using PerformanceBike again.

If you're thinking about buying from them, just be aware that your order may or may not arrive. And if you have any problems or need to return something, good luck. To make matters worse, they spam me constantly and I can't seem to unsubscribe from their emails. It's pretty annoying, to say the least.

I gotta say, I bought myself an Orbea OIZ bike from Performance Bike in Feb 2022 and it was a pretty sweet deal. Now, don't get it twisted, this ain't the same company as the old Bike Nashbar/Performance Bike that went bankrupt a few years back. This is a whole new business called AMain Sport and Hobbies in Chico, CA (I did my homework, ya know).

So, I ordered my bike with free shipping and it came in faster than I expected. Like, it was shipped the same day I ordered it! And let me tell you, this bike was put together and adjusted like a pro. The tires, rear shock, and fork pressure were all set up and ready to go. The shifting and brakes were spot on too. And it was packed up real nice and tight, so it arrived in brand spankin' new condition via FedEx.

Oh, and the shipping status notifications were on point too. I always appreciate knowing where my stuff is at all times.

But wait, there's more! A few weeks later, I got a "Thank You" package in the mail with a water bottle, some free swag like hydration mix and coffee, and even some stickers. And get this, there was a hand written note of thanks too! Like, who does that anymore?

And the price was lower than all the other sellers out there. I usually like to support local retailers, but this online experience was too good to pass up. Overall, I gotta say, I'm pretty stoked with my purchase from Performance Bike.
