This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

On 5/4/22 PC Richards sent a service repair technician to our home to fix an issue with our GE Range Oven Ignitor. While the technician was here he advised us that our stove was set up incorrectly. The technician advised that one of our burners were set up for propane [which is incorrect we have natural gas] and another burner was missing a part [an orifice]. The technician stated that this was either an installation error or a manufacturing error.

Starting on 5/4/22 I began contacting PC Richards in an effort to get this resolved and certainly not at our expense. We did not install the unit. The unit was installed by either a technician with PC Richards or GE; in either case this was not our error. After 5 months of phone calls and emails a technicial was sent to our home to evaluate our unit. It was determined that this was either an installation issue or a manufacturing issue and attempted to invoice us for the missing part and the service call which has been estimated to be about $334. Unacceptable considering this is not an error on our part.

I have now spent the last 5 months trying to rectify this matter. I have called various PC Richard stores. I have contacted customer service, corporate offices and sent emails. And to date this matter has not been resolved. We understand that our unit is no longer under warranty however, until we had a technician here to repair another issue on our GE range we were completely unaware of the installation issue.

I have been unable to get a supervisor to return my call to discuss this matter.

We expect to have PC Richards / GE resolve this matter by installing the missing part and fixing the incorrect installation setup at no charge to us. We have already paid for the unit. Which means we have paid for the missing part as well as the installation. However, the part was either not installed at the time of manufacturing or not installed upon the day of home installation. And we expect that since we did already pay for this unit which should have included the missing part that we should not be further charged for the part or for correcting the installation.
