Paradigm IAS Academy: Beware of the Cheaters
The choice of subjects and appropriate coaching class are perhaps the most important decisions in an aspirant’s journey towards success in UPSC (IAS). It is very essential that we should make a knowledgeable and pious person as “GURU”. In Delhi, Lot of coaching classes have mushroomed, but the candidates who have made it to IAS, generally give the right advice of choosing the right teacher.
In Mumbai/Pune/Nagpur, there is a dearth of good guidance/coaching. That’s where, opportunistic and greedy individuals (who themselves couldn’t clear UPSC, in 4 attempts), open the classes as a means of living and in the process push the students on wrong path and cheats them. Such teachers generally rely on their preparation notes (and material they get from other coaching institutes in Delhi), as they are generally found wanting, when it comes to explanation of a term/subject/fact. These teachers charge the poor students exorbitantly and student more often than not, pays the amount in hope of realising his long cherished dream and non-availability of options.
(ran by Mr. Ambrish Kumar) is a 100% personification of above mentioned evils. I was a student in his class in Mumbai and all of my classmates felt cheated in terms of money, time, effort, preparation seriousness.
Here is some of the very common feedback that I have got:
No interest in well-being of student- Greedy for fees: He won’t give u single of his notes, until and unless you have paid fees in advance.
No teaching in class: He gives you his prepared notes (which he made during his prep time, or made by students) and that’s all. No explanation of notes. No answers to the questions (citing that you will get answer in notes).
No planning: He will give you lot of plans in beginning and will try to lure you in. But he sticks to none of his plans. Absolutely no teaching in class, all of the time is spent in breaking up the distribution of marks in UPSC (which student can easily come to know from chronicle).
Mismanagement of tests and notes: No ordering of notes and tests. Tests are copied from tests in Delhi. Answer keys are not supplied with tests. If a geography test is announced for the next week, then a current affair test is given (since due to his laziness, he was not able to prepare Geography test). Similarly if it was told that Geography will be taught next week, and then you are in for a surprise, he will teach you India Year Book, that too, trivial state information in alphabetical order, read from the book(because, he didn’t prepare for teaching of the subject).
Exorbitant amount of tuition fees: 15000 for 12 classes of prelims GK! In each class, the most important event is receiving of notes!
Money, Money and more Money: You will get lot of teachers in Delhi, who will teach the deserving students for free

Paradigm IAS Academy - The Best Academy. it has the qualities that are needed for IAS Aspirants. the class provides good quality notes. Each topic is taught in such a manner that student can understand easily . It knows the exact requirement of students & stands by them to prove it. in fact the complaints are all rumours & may be posted by other competitors to prove their institutes best one by complaining Paradigm IAS Academy. but must be noted Truth is always welcome & accepted. And by seeing the number of students in the institute of Paradigm & others the complainers can get the exact amswer.

he is a cheat ...two of his students already in ips (not bcoz of him)...I think time is not far ...when a FIR will be filed against him ...and they will attest this cheat for 420.

as you can see this debates & discussions cannot clear your doubts. And the most important thing that I am very sure is, "this is not between the students & Institute, but its among the competitors of institutions that are doing to prove Paradigm as cheater while on other hand they are praising Vajiram, Chetna, etc for IAS Preparation. So its my kind advice to personally visit these coaching & then u can make the difference.
But remember one thing each coaching just shows you the way, you hv to walk through it n reach your aim. And being matured aspirant i always blow the rumours but always finds the opportunity to make the right decision.

to all students plning to join paradigm. friends b sure to check other classes and then make a decision. even i suffered the same at paradigm. i joined chetna unique academy, totally different from paradigm. found it better and economical too.
ur future depends on this. so take utmost care while choosing institite.

All the persons who are supporting in paradigm ias academy are writing in a mixture of CAPS and small letters. Also there use of words is pretty much same (like crab etc) and english grammer is also equally bad.
I guess either Mr Ambrish Kumar is himself writing( knowing his english skills :) ) or his secretary.
They are not disclosing IDs and also posting same message again and again.

They are disclosing their identities and I find the usage of english to be pretty good. These seem to be serious students who sure have been taught by good teachers in their formal education.
I guess based on the above facts Paradigm IAS should be closed and quacks should get what they deserve.

Paradigm Ias Academy = " PAISA " ; PA = Paradigm, IS = IAS & A = Academy.
The worst coaching you will every come across in your lifetime. The only MOTIVE of this academy is "APNA SAPNA MONEY MONEY " thats it.
WHY DO I THING SO ?
1. MR. Ambrish Kumar has no command at all on any subject nor on any topic. Their is a saying "JACK OF ALL TRADES AND MASTER IN NONE" but for this man "JACK OF GOD KNOWNS AND MASTER OF CHECKLIST ".
NOTE: He alone teaches all subjects GS, Polity, History, Geo, Sci, Eco, Philosophy without 1% command. Their is no other teacher in his academy - "BE AWARE".
2. He only knows how to give "PRAVACHAN" to achieve success; complete time pass .
3. Can't answers any questions thrown at him. And what reply is given (any WILD GUESS)...List of replies...
1. This is not important for your exam.
2. Will leave the class saying he has some work and will be back in 5 mins, by then interest is lost.
3. I will tell you know next time or after the class, which never comes.
4. He will beat around the buss for a long time and end up given false information; adding misery to life.
4. Provides outdated notes and which has no more relevance or importance from current style/pattern of exam. FOR EXAMPLE..
1. In GEOGRAPHY notes - Uttarakhand is still a part of Uttar Pradesh, same for Jharkhand & Chhattisgarh (which were formed in 2000, so u can imagine how old these notes are ?)
2. In History notes - Incomplete list, if asked why its incomplete ? ANS: Refer to point 3.1
3. CURRENT AFFAIRS - Height of coaching; He provides XEROX of Newspaper & Articles from "THE HINDU", just imaging.
4. If you complaint about the above listed things to him then his EGO is heart. And then he will give you all kind of SENTIMENTAL REASONS...Like "I do so much hard work for you guys" or "I have opened classes at GAO, BARODA, So he doesn't get good sleep " etc etc.. to so he care about us. He cares only about PAISA.
5. To the people who think its excellent guide for Civil services Examination or silly comment on coaching class. I would say to them "LEARN FROM THE MISTAKES OF OTHERS. YOU CAN'T LIVE LONG ENOUGH TO MAKE THEM ALL YOURSELF". If you still think either way then attend the classes for 1-2 months by paying whole sum and then join the complaint club.
6. Personal suggestion: Joining an academy is very important for Civil Service Exam preparation because right guidance will take you through BUT joining a right academy is the most important decision of your life because your career is depended on it. So please don't get attracted to FALSE ADVERTISEMENT like...
1. Delhi type Coaching.
2. Ready made notes.
3. Good Venue
4. Material from Delhi etc etc...
These thing will make you comfortable during initials days but as time progresses you have to face the reality. So look for a teacher/which is specialist in your interested subject and who can contribute 50% to your success.
50% Coaching + 50% Self study = 100% Output
Nothing is more difficult, and therefore more precious, than to be able to make a right decision but once you make a right decision your half battle is won.

Being a student of Paradigm IAS Academy, I seriously criticize all the criticizers. As a student, I’ll not tolerate any kind of fake rumors for this reputed class n we know what we are getting from here. Some stupid fellow Raj, had given the abbreviation of Paradigm IAS Academy, so dear a free advice to u that don’t go in civil services, as u r useless for that, better way join some newspaper n be a journalist and give them all ur abbreviations they’ll pay u good for ur skills.
And for Mr. Abhishek Modi, dear u know me personally, as I m from commerce background and when I joined the class i was not knowing even the abc of pol. Science, but to keep ur words, today I challenge any student of India to compete with me and try ur level best to break my attitude n crush it out if u dare.

Dear Abhishek Modi, I don have any personnel quarrel with u, but u r the biggest criticizer, so I’ll like to make it clear to u, tat u were present in the class only once or twice in a month n in tat also u used to attend ur phone between class. First of all we have to see what negative qualities we are having than we have to point out others.
Seriously I don understand, how u qualified for prelims. Though ur optional was different from Ambrish’s sir, but G.S. is same for all n dear before qualifying for ur prelims, there was no other source for u rather than Paradigm IAS Academy.
As Reena Dodiya has smartly mentioned above that u have qualified the prelims & appeared for mains, so why u r wasting ur time in writing all this crabs.
As Mr. Kavle, has mentioned twice or thrice in his lecture, held in Mumbai, that he is not talking in favour of Mr. Ambrish Sir, but speakin what is truth. Going through G.S. notes of Paradigm IAS Academy, Mr. Vinod Kavle gave a positive response towards it, As each n every student of Mumbai class knows this fact.
There are many thing to write, but m not like Abhishek Modi to waste my time in writing all this crabs, as I have to do more for my success, not for proving u’ll but for my own dignity.

Attitude of Mr. Ambrish Kumar towards teaching profession

Some students have spoken out against me … and infact Mr Ambrish Kumar also said something about me as I have apparently started this. First of all I am a person who always takes an action. I told my things infront of him. His teaching pattern was not good, as he didn’t teach anything in class. Most of the time he gave fundaes regarding how to crack upsc exam. Well fundaes seem interesting only in starting days. But we joined the coaching not just for fundaes and notes, but also for professional teaching. He never teaches anything. Either he speakes something from some notes or writes what is important and what is not. Do you even remember any class where he actually taught something? I am not writing this for those who want to join this coaching and may change their decision reading this, but I am wrting this to Mr Ambrish Kumar. Do u think you are good in teaching? Do you think your concept is clear? When someone asked you something, why does your ratta hua things goes off and you get disturbed. flow kharab ho jata hai . Doubt puchne se. Why does your ego get hurt when someone asked something? Couldnt you clarify the things. Couldn’t you accept your mistakes.
Is there anyone who can prove any of the(written in blog)complaints is false or can you give any counter example for that.Truth can’t be long hidden. Most of the time, he never clear doubts or sometimes he gives wrong information. Saying something or asking for doubts is a big crime in the coaching. If you asked some doubt, his flow kharab ho jata hai, and yeah I can say so many times that his concept is not so clear. So badly ratta max concept. You can’t even ask some related question. Just a few classes back, When Neeraj asked about Gramsabha and that time he was teaching gram-panchayat. If u were in class you would remember his answer! Alot of examples could be given here but students just want a level of teaching!

I REQUEST YOU TO PLEASE ACCEPT SOME MISTAKES YOU HAVE DONE OR DOING.. PLEASE DO YOUR BEST WHILE TEACHING FOR THOSE WHO INVESTED THEIR DREAM WITH YOU. PLEASE, LET YOUR EGO TAKE A VACATION AND TEACH SOMETHING WORTHWHILE, WHICH EVERYONE WANTS!

I believe that this forum is not meant for the ego satisfaction of a few who have forgotten that if they point one finger at somebody, four fingers point towards them. And I don't think these so called IAS aspirants who have involved themselves in using this forum for venting out their grievances deserve to become an IAS officers and administer the country. If the person has any grievance against Sir or class, let him go to Sir and speak to him like a real man if he is truly one.

What sir is providing is not at all 'irrelevant' ... yes, he provide notes ... yes he do hard work ... but, it is neither sufficient nor relevant... a single teacher can not take command of all involved subjects ... sir never did what he said in his previous lectures/seminars ...
sir always used to promise, that he will provide notes/issues/dimensions/facets ... but it never came ... not even for polity ... forget about geography, science, India & world ...I kept looking for it till last month to mains ... he always kept me in illusion
Sir said he will take test ... but the prelims test series was made separate & separate fees have to be paid ... sir said he would provide full essays ... but what I got was a list 12 "probable" essays ... (offcourse none came) ... sir claimed before prelims that atleast 90 questions will come from his class notes ... after prelims ... he claimed it to be 65 ... I cleared the prelims ... It hardly crossed 35
My point is that what ever he gives is not commensurate with the fees he charge on students ... my point is that he never means what he claims ... EVER ... he talked about plenty of schedules ... but none was ever followed ... Yes, no body forces no one ...it never happens brother... the problem is that students are lured by claiming false things ... the money is really hard earned ... it hurts when it goes down the drain

Plz stop kidding, there is no need to lengthen these discussions. we all are here to prove ourself, don't involved others . Specially Parvati if you are treated so unfair. Instead of writing on this blog go directly to Paradigm & solve the problem. If not then like a sincere aspirant just involve yourself in studies. If you are preparing get back to your studies. Writing on this blog will gain you nothing. Everything will remain same. Nor people will stop to join Paradigm neither Paradigm will loose .Only the thing is you all will be wasting your precious time. I don't have any personal quarell with you both.But remember Time is more precious & more imporatnt is how you utilize it .Paradigm is no doubt a highly reputed academy. as far as paradigm academy is concern as per my personal knowledge, is a one stop solution to get an excellence in civil services specially for those who are working and cannot spare daily time for the civil services coaching, for them paradigm ias academy is a wish come true because of its unique coaching pattern. i am telling u that a upsc oriented guidance like tis will not be provided in any other coaching institute all over india, but ya only for the promising and real aspirants not like bir, taranhar and all those tom dick and harry who have never joined the institution for studies but for fun.

I really feel SORRY for people who say "I am one of the previous Students of PARADIGM IAS ACADEMY & It’s my pride to be a part of it". PROUD OF WHAT, FOOLING PEOPLE JUST FOR YOUR PERSONAL GAINS?
I always found it unsupportable, hopeless educative, unfocused, unexperienced & stand for ditching.
So I really find it shocking why some crab mentality people are supporting Paradigm IAS Academy. "A coach is someone who can give correction without causing resentment" but Mr. Ambrish Kumar is totally opposite of this saying, he makes coaching a non sense gag .
Complains made against Mr. Abhishek by everyone above are completely justified with supporting examples and arguments.
So I totally agree to Mr. Abhishek, Mr. bir, Mr. Well wisher. WE ARE ALWAYS TRAPPED BY SUCH ILLUSIONIST PEOPLE. It’s so easy to support and hide the reality from people of such institutes and blame the sufferer, once your personal objective of earning is achieved.
YES, YOU ARE NEVER FORCED TO JOIN THE ACADEMY, BUT TRAPPING ASPIRANTS THROUGH A MARKETING STRATEGY FOR LUCRATIVE INCOME IS LIKE ADDING INSULT TO INJURY.
IRRESPECTIVE OF BAD EXPERIENCES OR BEING NEW TO THE FIELD, PEOPLE JOIN A COACHING INSTITUTE AFTER A GREAT HUNT. WHY ? TO HUNT DOWN THEIR DREAM OF BECOMING A CIVIL SERVANT AND NOT TO GET THEMSELVES HUNTED DOWN BY SUCH EGOTISTICAL INDIVIDUALS.
YES, NO ONE INVITED US, & IT’S 21ST CENTURY, A CENTURY OF SELF CENTRIC FOOLER'S . FOOLER'S WHO ARE JUST LOOKING FOR OPPORTUNITIES TO DISGUISE PEOPLE FOR FILLING THEIR OWN POCKETS.
We are been stuck badly, but we are not feared & nor we lack courage, that's why we are making the world familiar about such academy's through such forum.
Why Shouldn't we blame Paradigm IAS Academy ? We have paid a heavy price both in terms of time and money and gained nothing.
"We want to be a part of solution, and we also talk about our mistakes and improve them. AND WHY SHOULD WE TAKE THE RESPONSIBILITY FOR EVERYTHING WRONG DONE BY Paradigm Ias Academy (Mr. Ambrish Kumar), and few people also DON’T WANT US TO COMPLAIN ABOUT IT.
A true person always speaks the truth & raises its voice if not being treated fairly. No doubt, it’s all Mr. Ambrish Kumars worthless suggestions/advice has caused us our Prelims & Money. IF WE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN IN PARADIGM WE WOULD HAVE DEFIANTLY CRACKED THE CIVIL SERVICES.
So instead of being thankful don’t blame Ambrish Kumar Sir ?. Thankful of what wasting our year and money.
He has insulted the meaning of Teacher through his act's. So I COMPLETELY AGREE WITH THE COMPLAINS POSTED ABOVE. It shows that we speak truth which the entire world should know of.

I am one of the previous Students of PARADIGM IAS ACADEMY from Pune. It’s my pride to be a part of it. I always found it supportive, continuous educative, focused, experienced & stand for commitment.
So I really find to be shocked why some crab mentality people are making unfair complains against Paradigm IAS Academy.
Some Mr. Abhishek has complained with some pointless arguments & confrontations.
So Mr. Abhishek, Mr. bir, Mr, Well wisher & same type category people. YOU ARE NEVER TRAPPED IF YOU ARE OWN PERSON. It’s so easy to do the opposite-to cling to other expecting to be taken care of, to control people and blame them when things go wrong. YOU WERE NEVER FORCED TO JOIN THE ACADEMY, AFTER YOUR BAD EXPERIENCES TO OTHER ONE YOU PEOPLE JOINED THIS AFTER A GREAT HUNT. NO ONE INVITED YOU, & IT’S 21ST CENTURY NO ONE CAN FOOL OTHERS.
If you’ve been stuck, admit your fear & lack of courage. Don’t blame Paradigm IAS Academy. Be a part of solution, TALK ABOUT YOUR OWN MISTAKES BEFORE CRITICISING OTHERS. TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU HAVE DONE, DON’T COMPLAIN.YOU DESERVE EXACTLY WHAT YOU TOLERATE…

No doubt, it’s all his efforts that you have qualify in Prelims & gave the mains examination. IF YOU WERE NOT IN PARADIGM YOU MUST BE KICKED OUT AT THE TIME OF THE PRELIMS EXAM. So instead of being thankful don’t blame Ambrish Kumar Sir. I have gone through all the notes provided by him. His efforts are praising, if he is provide you even the other class notes in additional it’s only because you can qualify. No other Teacher could have done such efforts. He is providing all your needs. So I COMPLETELY DISAGREE WITH YOUR COMPLAINS. It shows that you are not in charge and reveals your lack of patience and inability to act for yourself. Recently, I came around an advertisement in Chronicle year book(Jan'2010 "Geography" issue, Page-65). The advertisement was of Paradigm IAS academy, Pune. I was amazed to see, how the institute faculty "Mr Ambreesh Kumar" have insidiously grown to 5 cities across states of Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa.
I am a civil service aspirant, who started preparing last year and appeared for mains this year. I was working in an IT company in Pune when I got in touch with this imposter. Now, I am preparing full time for the exam in Delhi itself. So, I don't have any commercial interests in condemning this guy.
Lots of student join coaching hoping for career in civil services, and usually many of them are not aware of the "trap". So, I feel my duty to share my thoughts. If you are about to join this coaching or have joined or looking for such coaching, please read through. Its big but I am sure your next 5 minutes will be worth thousands of rupees for you only.
"Free" Seminar: Mr Ambreesh aka "Sir" (he himself calls so), usually conducts a seminar "free of cost" in his victim city advertised via newspapers or website. The coaching has been "falsely" given 5 star rating in IAS related websites. Students throng his seminar, for it is hard to find any good coaching classes in city like Vadodara & Nashik. His idea is to create a hysteria about UPSC. He talks about 4 stages of preparation of UPSC, uselessness of magazines/books/newspapers(for his notes are more useful), subtopics/dimensions/facets as notes strategy, killing nature of examination, ideal & complementary optionals like "Political Science" and "Philosophy". Students who have little knowledge, fall in trap to play "safe" i.e. join his coaching.
Classes: Classes are held once per week and he promise to cover entire syllabus of GS, Pol Science, Philosophy, Essay via them. Though I joined only for GS but now I say that, I was biggest fool on planet to believe into this, a year back.
Polity: What I have observed, he knows only Part-1, 2 of constitution, FRs, DPSPs, Art 74, 75, Parliament, Governor, Relation between states and center, National Emergency etc. These are not novel topics. These "easy-to-understand" topics are very familiar to students as we have studied them in the schools also. Most of the time, he simply dictates them verbatim from his notes, which he have gathered from his 9-10 years of experience. Moreover, it is the least expected from a political science teacher.
He was a failed teacher in Delhi & have to open shops in new places, claiming himself to be "faculty from Delhi". That is why he chose "Pune", students capital of country, as first prey city. He does not have basic skills & aptitude, expected of a teacher and always fails to explain even crucial concepts.
As time progressed, I realized my mistake. However, I convinced myself that at least notes in form of dimensions & facets provided might be of great help as I was doing a job. However, it was my ill fate, that he cheated me on that part too. I never received notes for prelims despite several requests & reminders. Even, for mains, he went back on his promise & gave pirated xeroxed copy of class notes of Mr Ravindran of Vajiram & Ravi in Delhi. A date inside mentioned the year as 2005. Notes of 2005 given in 2009. Too less, too late & that too irrelevant.
Current Affairs: The current affairs notes provided were xeroxed copy of Vajiram's Current Affairs booklet available only to its students. For mains, he provided me with Wizard's "Current Affair" yearly magazine, Pratiyogita Darpan's Indian Economy. Both of them were provided a month before the exam after my constant pleas.
Geography: No one on earth would believe this. Initially, he promised to give lists of rivers, lakes, biospheres etc, i.e. whatever comes under the subject of Indian Geography. But I went "ga-ga" & "ma-ma", when he handed over vast & exhaustive list of rivers, lakes, geysers, airports, biospheres, tiger reserves, mountains etc "all copied" from Wikipedia site. It contained over 100 rivers, more than 50 lakes and pages & pages of wildlife sanctuaries, national parks etc. I preferred to leave the "entire" portion, for it would be insane on my part to even think about to mug it up. A lame "to-do" list was provided for mains preparation.
History: He deserve credit for this for at least 5-6 questions appeared in prelims. I don't know, which coaching, they were copied from, as they were printed & nicely organised. Notes provided for mains were verbatim copied from Spectrum book.
Test Series: I would pronoun him "Decoit" for this act. He always kept promising to conduct a test-series for the prelims. But, when prelims were 1 to 1.5 months away, he asked me to pay Rs 4000 for 5 tests in the test series. I did not join it but he had proved himself to be the biggest cheater in my life. There was no question of any tests for mains, for I was the sole "lucky" student in his entire coaching to clear the prelims.
National Affairs/Social Issues/India & World/Indian Diaspora/Science: For this he had promised dimensions & facets form of notes. I was falling short of time to prepare notes myself & had to accept the delay that he demanded to prepare the notes. But it was tragedy, when he gave CrackIAS.com notes 3 weeks before the exam. He had got them as sample from the firm to distribute among students. Had he told earlier of such kind of notes, I would have prepared myself. NRI notes were from Wikipedia page.
Essay: For essays, he had promised about 20-25 essays to be given after prelims. But AGAIN, he simply provided me a rough list of 12 "Very-Very Important" essays, that had high probability to appear in the exam. Offcourse, nothing of that sort happened. I was lucky, that I was prepared for such kind of situation.
I can write a book on this faker for his acts of crime. Yes, he is a criminal. He kept not even a single promise, he made in that "fateful" seminar. He promised minimum 90 questions in GS in prelims, to be directly from his notes. His claim after the exam was 65, but I am ready to bet with him, for if he can show maximum of 30 question from his notes. I do not give credit for my selection in prelims to his guidance or his notes. My optional was Maths & it played a decisive role.
I would prefer not to talk about his guidance or help in Mains examination. I would give a hypothetical situation. Suppose, a student is allowed to write UPSC mains GS exam 2009 with Mr Ambreesh's notes in examination hall. I would stop preparing for UPSC, if that student gets selection.
I hope this much information is sufficient to prove my view regarding the coaching. Please think twice before joining any coaching like Paradigm IAS academy, as you know India is paradise for entrepreneurs and hence robbers like Mr Ambreesh kumar. These people are always standing at the corner of the street to rob you of your hard earned money.

He does not even own a room in Pune to conduct classes. He is a liar, dishonest, fraud & disgusting teacher. He is a white collar decoit & pirate, who teaches & dictates "India Year Book" using LCD projectors, conducts classes in posh hotels wearing affluent dresses, and cheats people with his dumb & hopeless secretary.
