This complaint is regarding the Papaya located inside of the Grapevine Mills Mall in Grapevine, Texas. Upon entering the store, I was never once greeted. I spent a good 45 minutes picking things out, and again, was never asked if I needed help or if I wanted to start a room (I had about 20 pieces draped over my arm!).
I then stood in line for about 10 minutes to get into the dressing room. While finishing up in the dressing room, I received a text that our reservations at the restaurant in the mall were ready, so I requested my clothes be held. I was told they would be held until 6pm, however when I went back at 5:30, they had put my clothes back on the racks.
So after spending almost an hour of my time shopping there, I left with nothing! The girls behind the counter clearly did not care, and the manager had nothing to say, not even an apology.
I took even more of my time to send an email to their corporate office, and again, their customer service is horrible, and after a week, no response. I sent a second email but I don't have high hopes of getting a response.
Papaya clearly doesn't care at all about their customers, and for that reason, I will no longer be spending my money there. I have seen similar complaints, and encourage others to stay away as well! I recommend that you fix this, Papaya. We've put up with your cheaply made products that rip and tear after only a few uses, but this is unacceptable! Get it together!
Rude employees
The papaya in wheaton mall was horrible. Michelle/management employee and Yamileth were completely unperfessional. I had to drive all the way out of my distance becuase one of the employees forgot to take my sensor off my shoes. And they were not trying to compromise with a discount or anything becuase of my inconvenience. They gave me sarcasimn and a hard time with a lot of arrogant and nonchalant attitude.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer’s satisfaction.
sign said buy one get one free instead it was one for 19, 99 and 17.99 i explained to the cashier all she could say was that i saved 9.00 dollars i didnt care what i saved i cared about being charge wrong she would not help me she just kept saying i saved 9.00 dollars i left the store not the first time i am just so mad
sale of defective clothes
Sold a piece of clothing with a defective zipper would not do an exchange. Did not believe that I purchased it and had to go back and check cameras I waited 45 mins there because employees were scared of him and couldn't help me and he was too busy then when he did help me he told me it was my fault for not reading the receipt even though his employee had told me that if dress did not work out I could exchange it. It was my first time shopping there and he even mentioned that whomever was helping me should of ripped off the bottom of the tag, obviously knowing whoever helped me didn't know the correct info. I was really mistreated by this male manager and when I asked him for the corporate number he gave me a number that he didn't even look up and it only directly goes to a voicemail that beeps before recording.
