Overton's Horrible with returns

The process for returning your order is horrible. You have to call to process a return - I called multiple times for 3 days straight (hold time >20 minutes). I emailed - no response. Finally after waiting 36 minutes someone answered.

Overton's I wish I would have seen the reviews before I ordered

We've always been pleased with the products and service Overton's offered. No more. Placed a pontoon seat order 5/8... still don't have the entire order. Noticed this morning one of the new seats coming apart at the seam. Too much trouble to uninstall and send back. Very disappiontwd in their service and quality. Not sure what my options are as the customer service rep said they come from a Wise distributor.

Overton's Orders not able to cancel once backlog occurs

Forced to take delivery three months after order. They informed me a week after they claimed item was in stock to say there was a backlog. Did not allow items to be cancelled and cannot get straight answer on how to return item. Be aware of their techniques to not cancel. Also Marcus offer to return calls or emails is a joke. Never heard back. He doesn't care even though he leaves an impression he is there for the consumer.

Overton's I have been by a fan of Overton's since they were a

I have been by a fan of Overton's since they were a mail order catalog in the 90's. They were recently bought by Gander Mtn which is my favorite outdoor store chain. I have a Supra Ski boat so we spend a lot of time on the Lakes and that means we need a lot of boating gear and toys for the water. We buy all of our skis, ropes, tubes, toys and trailer accessories from Overton's. I can't find them in any other store locally. They are simply the best in the business.

Overton's Overton's: Poor Customer Service and False Shipments - Avoid At All Costs

So, I decided to get an 18" mooring ball to handle half an inch of metal chain from Overton's. Unfortunately, I faced a considerable amount of difficulty getting through to their customer service department. My repeated calls and chat attempts went unanswered. After several unsuccessful attempts, I decided to open a dispute with PayPal. It was only then that I received a few halfhearted apologies about the delay citing Covid-related issues. However, it took them almost an entire month to confirm that my order had been cancelled.

To make things worse, I was repeatedly told to contact a person named "Marcus," who was supposedly an executive at Overton's, if I was dissatisfied with their service. However, when I did attempt to reach out to "Marcus," I found it was just another futile exercise. This was a frustrating experience, and I don't recommend Overton's to anyone.

It's unfortunate that a company that boasts of decades of experience can have such poor customer service and outright lie about product shipment dates. In all honesty, this company should be avoided at all costs. I hope they improve their service and integrity soon, or they'll soon be out of business.

Overton's Mixed Experience with Overton's: Delayed Shipping and Lack of Communication

I had a mixed experience with Overton's, the webstore for boating and marine supplies. The day of June 22nd, 2019, I decided to give them a call to order pontoon seats and spoke to someone on the phone. After discussing details, they informed me that there would be a slight delay from the vendor and that the order would ship in approximately two weeks. They charged my card that same day, which is normal for most websites.

Two weeks went by, and I had not gotten a shipping confirmation, which made me worry. So, I gave them a call and asked about it. Their customer service representative told me that I should wait another two weeks and see if the order would be shipped then. And so, I did. Two weeks went by again, and still no news. At that point, my anxiety level was high, so I called Overton's customer service again. To my displeasure, they informed me that there would be a further delay and that my order should ship by July 29th.

Thing is, they gave me that promise before, and it looked like they weren't keeping it. Another week went by, and I decided to call again to check on my order's status. This time, they told me that it would take even longer and that it could be six to eight weeks from now before I could see my order shipped. That meant I would have to wait until September, which pretty much killed my enthusiasm. They said the delay was due to their vendor, and that didn't make me feel any better.

That was enough for me. I couldn't stand waiting until September for a simple order of pontoon seats. Besides, the entire summer would have been gone by then. So, I told them I'd like to cancel my order. Canceling the order was okay, and they issued me a refund for the full amount, which was excellent. However, I was severely disappointed with all the waiting and the lack of communication about the delay.

Overall, my experience with Overton's was okay, but I would think twice about ordering from them again after waiting for so long.

Overton's Disappointed and Frustrated: My Experience with Overton's Customer Service

I gotta say, I ain't too happy with my experience with Overton's. Me and my buddies ordered some dock bumpers and corner bumpers for our boat. We were told they'd ship together and be here in around 10 days, so we were pumped to get them set up before the summer rush. But now it's almost June and no bumpers in sight.

We called up the customer service agents and they said our order was back ordered and they cancelled it on us without any warning. What a disappointment! We already paid for everything so we expected to at least get the items we ordered.

To make matters worse, when I called back to ask why we were told we'd get our order by June 10th, they transferred me multiple times and then just hung up on me. Rude if you ask me.

Lesson learned, I should have done my research on these guys before I ordered. Now I gotta try and find bumpers elsewhere and hope we can get them before summer is over. Not cool, Overton's. Not cool.

Overton's Disappointing Customer Service and Shipping Delays at Overton's

Overton's is a website I recently visited that really didn't impress me. I think their customer service reps really need to step up their game - they're just not interested in helping people out. I noticed that other reviews on the site also complain about this issue. I've ordered from Overton's a few times in the past and every time I've had a frustrating experience.

I remember ordering "In Stock" items more than once, and each time, I ended up waiting for several weeks before receiving only partial orders. One time, I even had to wait for a Bimini "in stock" item for 6 weeks! When I tried to contact customer service to find out what was going on, they gave me the same answer every time, "It will be shipped in 2 to 3 weeks." I don't mind delays in shipping due to Covid, but I feel like Overton's takes it to another level by providing false or misleading information.

I wish they would just be honest with us and apologize for the delay instead of continuing to mislead their customer base. I mean, there are plenty of other companies out there who would be happy to take our business. I know I'll be looking elsewhere next time I need something.

Overton's Overton's: Misleading, Overcharging, and Unfitting Engines. A Cautionary Tale

Don't make the mistake I did and go to Overton's for your engine needs. I gave them my car's registration number and they offered me an engine for a Toyota Yaris, but I have a Toyota Auris. I was hesitant, but the guy on the phone assured me it would fit and asked for the phone number of the garage where I was going to have it replaced. I paid by card and was told the engine would cost me ?450, but after a few days, I noticed I had been charged ?540! They didn't inform me that the price didn't include VAT! To make matters worse, the engine was delivered unattended at 7 in the morning and didn't even fit! The garage engineers couldn't refuse the unfitting item, and it took me three weeks to get a refund. And on top of that, they charged me a 20% restocking fee because they said I agreed to buy it. I had to pay ?108 for their mistake! Don't trust them, and don't make the same error I did.

Overton's Overton's Disappoints: Back-Ordered and Hidden Charges after 2-Month Wait

So, I bought something from Overton's about 2 moons back. I waited for like 2 long weeks, but no updates came in my account online. I was like, what's going on? So, I reached out to 'em via email to find out what's happening, and guess what? It was back-ordered! Like come on, they should have told me at the very beginning, right?

I was like okay, no big deal, I can wait, no worries. But, it wasn't over as of yet. Fast forward another 6 weeks, and finally, I got an email from them saying there's gonna be an extra charge of $32 for hazardous materials. Can you believe that? I was stunned and like, what the frick? My receipt says free shipping, and there was not even a single word about this extra charge in the product description as well.

I was like, are you kidding me right now? From a customer's point of view, they should have honored the sale as it is and kept their promise. But, they straight-up refused to do so and told me to either approve the extra charge or get a refund. After waiting for so long, I got this in return? They made me wait for two months, and now this. I wouldn't have even ordered the product if they had mentioned this shipping charge in the first place. Nothing but a sheer waste of my time and money.

I used to order stuff from this company even before online shopping got cool, but now, I think I'll steer clear of 'em. It's just not worth it anymore.

Overton's Avoid Overton's- Terrible Customer Service and Slow Shipping

I recently made an online purchase with Overton’s towards the end of May 2021. I was in desperate need of several life jackets and, according to their website, all of them were in stock and ready to ship. However, after a month of waiting, I still hadn't received my order, and there was no way to track it online. The website simply stated that the order was being processed.

Feeling frustrated, I decided to call their customer service line. Unfortunately, I had to wait a painful 30 minutes before I was able to speak with a representative. She explained to me that things were running a bit slow due to the current pandemic situation and assured me that they would try to ship my order as soon as possible.

Another two weeks had passed, and my order finally arrived. However, to make matters worse, one of the life jackets didn’t fit properly, so I had to return it. I followed their return authorization instructions, and it got shipped back. That was a month ago, and I’m still waiting for the credit to arrive back to my account. Overton’s customer service team is now asking me to provide proof that I sent the jacket back, even though UPS already confirmed that it had arrived at their facility.

This is by far the worst customer service experience I've ever had. I strongly advise against buying from Overton’s. There are many other companies out there that provide much better service.

Overton's Disappointing Experience with Overton's: Issues with Returns and Customer Service

I gotta tell you, I'm pretty disappointed with my recent experience with Overton's. I mean, I've been a customer of theirs for years - decades, even! - but this last interaction has left a sour taste in my mouth.

So here's the deal: I returned an item to the company according to their provided instructions. I tracked the package with USPS and can see that it arrived at the service center a whole month ago. But you know what? I haven't seen a single penny of credit on my card. Not one!

And here's the kicker: I haven't been able to speak to a single human being who can explain what the heck is going on. I tried their chat function, but no dice. I waited on hold for a staggering thirty minutes to talk to customer service, only to be told that they would email me... and you wanna guess what never happened? Yep, that email! It's been two whole weeks and nary a word from those guys.

I've even messaged their Facebook page and called repeatedly, but it seems like the more I try to get in touch, the less interested they are in actually helping me out. Look, it's not like I'm out a ton of money or anything, but even so, it's pretty frustrating to feel like Overton's is just keeping my money because they're too inept to sort out their own system.

It used to be that Overton's was a great company to do business with, but now... well, let's just say I won't be giving them my business anytime soon if this is how they treat their customers.

Overton's Frustrating Experience with Overton's: Long Shipping Delays & Poor Customer Service

I had a really frustrating experience with Overton's. I placed an order on May 26th and waited for a few days for an email with shipping information. Unfortunately, I never got one. When I called customer service, I was told that Overton's had a 10-12 day shipping policy, and that my package hadn't shipped yet because it was still within that timeframe.

Well, day 12 came and went, and still no email. I called again and was told that they didn't know why my package hadn't shipped yet. I get daily emails from them about sales, but not a single one about my order. It's really frustrating.

I even told them about Marcus Lemonis's "I'm not happy if you're not happy" slogan and suggested that they change it because their company sucks. If they had been upfront about their shipping policy at checkout, I wouldn't have placed the order.

Now it's been 18 days and still no package, but they sure do have my money. I will never buy from this company again. I could have just purchased the same item from Amazon, but I wanted to support a different business, like I do with my local businesses.

I've received 15 emails about exclusive sales, but not a single one about my actual order. I would have been less mad if they had at least sent an update on my order. When I told customer service this, they didn't really have a solution for me.

Overall, I can't recommend Overton's based on my experience. It's like they don't care about their customers at all. I guess Marcus Lemonis isn't that happy after all.

Overton's Buyer Beware: My Disappointing Experience with Overton's Online Order & Delivery Process

I recently made a purchase at Overton's and I have to say, I was not impressed. While browsing their website, I found a Taylor Made dock box that I really liked. It said it was "in stock" so I decided to order it on May 7th. However, it's already May 21st and I still have not received a shipping notification. I tried emailing them to get an update, but received no reply. I was starting to get frustrated, so I decided to reach out to them on social media. Finally, I got a call from them letting me know that my item had shipped and it should arrive on May 26th.

The thing that really bothered me about this entire experience is that when it says "in stock" on their website, it really isn't! Apparently, the item ships directly from the manufacturer. This would have been fine if they had informed me of this, but they didn't. And to make matters worse, I also ordered a vacuum sealer that they claimed was in stock. However, it's been 10 days since I ordered it and it still hasn't shipped. When I contacted them again, they said it was at their warehouse but they had no way of tracking it. What kind of operation are they running over there? It's ridiculous.

So, I would definitely caution you to be careful when ordering from Overton's. They may claim to have items in stock, but apparently that's not always the case. If you want a more organized and well-run company, I suggest checking out Boat Outfitters instead. I recently placed an order there, and within 24 hours I received multiple communication emails keeping me updated on my order, shipping, and tracking. Overall, I was not impressed with my experience at Overton's and would not order from them again.
