Orbit convinced be to install a solar system. They told me all about the savings, the grants and SREC credits and how that would be a benefit to me. They said they handled everything including all the filing and paperwork. They said they do everything including the SREC application. I checked with them a couple months ago to confirm this would be handled. They said they would do it all. I decided to check on the status of the SREC's and was just told they don't file for Delaware. I had to do it. I went on line to complete the application and found I needed to supply technical information as well as a Delaware State Certification number. They sent me a technical document that was hard to decipher. They would not answer the questions and told me I had to do this on my own. I worked through most of it. They told me the cert # I needed I would have to figure out. Turns out, they should have filed the paperwork for the number earlier this year. They did not. Since I don't have that number, I can't file for SREC credits this year. I have to submit the application along with $50 to get the number so maybe next year I can get the credits. I will lose out on a whole year of those credits, plus the $50 filing fee as well as all the time and aggravation on trying to get help from Orbit. I do not recommend them to anyone.
Desired outcome: Would like them to complete the paperwork they promised and give me the information needed for the form I have to fill out as well as a refund for the SRECS I am not receiving this year.
