Omega Shipping West review: Fraudulent Company 2

Back in April-May of 2012 we contracted with Mr. Greg Terrell of Omega Shipping West out of Hawthorne, Ca. and everything appeared to be normal as far as we knew.

Greg came to our Apt. in Newport beach to go over the details and estimate our shipment to Madrid, Spain and at the time we gave him a deposit of $1100 on 5-16-12 and then $2212.50 on 07-26-12 the day he picked up our goods using a U-haul rental truck, saying that his truck was busy on a larger shipment and that he would handle our stuff alone.

He was friendly up to the point he received our last payment and then he became a rude jerk, not volunteering any info anymore.

I got suspicious and went to the addresses he uses on Simms and Sheila and they were either empty or another business was there. I immediately called him and he said that he was in a meeting and would call me back in 30 minutes, never did.

I kept calling him, either leaving a message or he answered finally and made up some excuse. I wanted to meet with him in person and see our goods, also never happened. He then said he would send me a photo of our goods and the photo he sent was one from the pick-up date and appeared to be in a garage.

I said I wanted my goods shipped now and after several attempts, he said there were delays, either the freight forwarder was not there or some other excuse. I wanted to go to the freight forwarder to again see my goods and he made more excuses why I couldn’t.

After bugging Greg, he finally said that the shipment was ready to go but then he said that the container was tagged by customs for a search and it would be a minimum of 2 weeks standard for Customs to release, well 3 weeks or so later, he said it was released and the shipment would go on Sept. 11. 2012 and arrive with an ETA of 10-16-12.

10-16-12 arrived and nothing happened, so contacted Greg again and now shipment is to arrive with an ETA of 10-30-12 and that the Local contact should have called us. We received no calls or e-mails so far.
We continue to contact Greg and he never has an answer that is believable as there are always delays.

We could not even see our goods in his storage, go to the Freight Forwarder or anything concrete, his warehouse is a lie, his fax number, business phone number are all not in service.

We are tired of this guy and his false company, he has our goods (our life savings, memories, clothes etc) and all we get are lies and no concrete evidence that he has our goods or shipped them.

His very latest story is that the Local Contact should have got in touch with us and have not.

So we are in process of some sort of legal action, filing complaints with different agencies etc.

WE STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED OUR HOUSEHOLD GOODS AND WE PAID THIS GUY IN ADVANCE AND NOW HE SAYS ITS NO LONGER IN HIS HANDS AND IS NOW THE RESPONSIBILITY OF OSI SHIPPING. ITS IS DECEMBER AND IT APPEARS WE HAVE LOST EVERYTHING AND HAVE CONTACTED THE POLICE, THE ATTORNEY GENERAL, THE BBB AND NOW YOU AND SO FAR NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE. Greg now says that Jason Morgan of OSI International in Coral Springs, Fl has the responsibility now and refuses to answer us anymore.
