We were searching for a pizza oven online. An ad appeared for a pizza oven sold by Outdoor Kitchen Central. The advertisement included the product’s price. We clicked the ad and it took us to their web page where you could purchase the oven. So we went ahead and bought it. Two days later we received an email from Outdoor Kitchen Central stating they had displayed the wrong price and would have to cancel my order. Their correct price apparently was more than $1000 higher than what they advertised or displayed on their website’s product page. The business offered a small discount which still was almost $1000 higher than we purchased the pizza oven for on their website. The right thing to do would have been to honor the price you advertised which got us to buy the oven and then update the listing for future customers. Instead they canceled our order and chose to not respond to us. Bait and switch + unethical advertising practices = a business you should avoid completely. We will be filing a complaint with the BBB and others to ensure consumers are warned about how this company operates and what they do in response to mistakes they make.
Desired outcome: Honor original purchase price.
