The old version of App was good. The new version looks childish and is mostly focused on showing inappropriate stuff. The cover page of the books need not be that ridiculous.

Also, for many books stories were the same under different titles. This is expensive. However when the stories are good we pay. But this became too much expensive.

I have SVIP membership and some of the old books used to be free. I can read most of the books for free unless they have latest updates. I do not know what happened to this latest version. Although I have SVIP membership, I am not able to open old books which I read many times. And after 5 or 6 chapters, for every book they are asking to spend coins to unlock the next chapter. Then what is the point of having SVIP

I am going to stop using this app anymore.

This app is a complete waste of money abd time. Not only are the chapters short, they’re also expensive and half the time you don’t even get all the coins you paid for.I refuse to finish the story i was reading because it’s not engaging anymore. It went from “this is juicy” to “That’s just attempted S.A”. I don’t know who writes these but they need a reality check. And on the other hand, customer service refuses to get in contact with me no matter how many times i request it (it’s because there’s a secret shop page that keeps booting up and it only comes up from the check in notification, can’t access it any other way as the app will take you elsewhere and not let you back in it) so this is severely dissatisfying and disappointing. I would give 0 stars if i could. DO NOT waste your time and money

I purchased the monthly package where I’m supposed to get 100 coins a day at check in and if you watch the ads you get an additional 10 coins. I did all that and I got NOTHING! I went to their chat portal and they were absolutely useless. One person told me that the check in pints said and I quote

“ Good morning, I'm sorry to tell you that the ad offer is random and only stops for a limited number of users, and that the ad inventory can be empty sometimes. You can buy coins to open any chapter of any book every time! You will get free extra coins when you buy more coins. Please support the authors for their hard work. Good stories deserve their coins. Thank you very much!”

It’s not random! I PAID FOR IT!

And I’ve been getting the run around ever since. Do not purchase. You will not get what you PAID FOR!

The app comes with a few preview chapters of the stories, then you have to pay. You can’t just buy the book you have to pay with coins per chapter. Each chapter varies in price. The actual chapter is trash, the writing is simplistic, unoriginal, unintelligible, unrealistic, and insulting to anyone with brain cells. It seems like these stories were written by 12-year-old hopelessly romantic girls. Each chapter does nothing to advance the story, only a little bit here and there do. The main point of these chapter is to make you think that the next chapter advances the story, so you go out of your way to pay for it only to be disappointed. You think maybe the next chapter will be better but nope and it goes on and on for 500-600 chapter until they squeeze every dollar they can for you, all for a non-sensible plot and lack luster story line.

So many things about this app disappoint me!
First is the fact that I take time to watch all the adds in order to get points/coins/vouchers to open chapters. Said chapters are then only “open” to read for a limited amount of time. Only chapters that you have paid cash for to open stay open. This is WRONG!
Second, now the last 4 days I can’t even watch videos as they will not load. So my only source of collecting coins is by checking in and reading.. hard to read if I don’t have coins to be able to purchase/open chapters.
You may ask then, “if you don’t like it, why stay on Mobo?” Well I can tell you it is ONLY to continue reading a book that one of my favorite Authors has on here. We (her readers) have encouraged her to NOT use this platform in the future as it is problematic. Once I am finished with this book.. Mobo will be gone!

I purchased the monthly subscription for $14.99. I did not get all the coins I was supposed to get. It supposed to be 1500 up front and then 3500 if you read every day. It does not say you have to click on anything to get your daily coins. I did not know I was supposed to do that. I was still logging into the app every day and reading. I didn’t realize I didn’t have coins until a chapter told me I didn’t have enough coins. I should have had enough for the whole book. When I try chatting no one responds! So I purchased more coins and then purchased 40 chapters. Even though my auto purchase for chapters is turned off I was still losing coins every chapter I went to! Even though I still had purchased chapters I was reading! They were still taking away my coins! I had to dispute my transactions with my bank and get my money back! Such a scam app!

I was very interested in reading an ebook in this app but after spending $14 I wasn’t finished. There are mistakes in character names (it would seem) and a number of grammatical mistakes. I’m guessing that the novel I was reading is a translation from another language to English. Am I willing to spend more to finish the story even with mistakes? It’s not worth it for me to spend on an unknown writer with an unknown editor. I feel that I’ve spent too much already. AND I don’t even know how much each chapter is costing me. It doesn’t tell you in advance exactly how many coins you need to finish the story. No transparency here. I know for a fact that there are better written books that costs less than what I have already spent on a story in this app. I’m going to give up on this particular novel and leave it unfinished. I’m going to the library. Thanks for the $14 lesson.

So I saw a add on tiktok with a portion of a book on it, started reading then went ahead and downloaded the app.. I got through a couple chapters then realized you have to pay and buy coins to continue ready on, there’s little games you can play for coins but with the games you only get maybe 2-3 chapters a day, and it takes hours playing games to get enough points to get coins, just to read roughly 10 pages. It’s not worth it! So I decided to buy a subscription, 2000 coins instantly 800 coins daily , i recieved the 2000 then NEVER recieved the 800 daily coins! I tried talking to customer service but they either don’t answer or just say send more info and never resolve anything! This book I’ve been reading has over 700 chapter, it will take OVER 600$ JUST TO READ THIS ONE BOOK don’t get hooked ! It’s stupid and a scam! Amazing books amazing writers but the app itself is a SCAM

I DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!
1. I don’t even want to give 1 star but forced to
2. Reviews are deceptive as they offer a reward if you give them a 5 star review - so it is not accurate
3. They offer numerous tasks for points that can only be used to play games and such - there is no option to convert to coins to purchase chapters. This is a reading app not a game app! Why would I perform tasks for points to play games?!? Only they convert them 1 time a day and only convert 130 points which gives you 20 coins. Not enough for one chapter. So even if you have 1000 points - you can do nothing with it. They will only convert 130 of them to 20 coins once a day.
4. Customer service is a bot. You send a question and a bot responds. Then you ask for customer service and it “refers” to them for a response later. That response is even more generic and does not answer the question.

I think this app is a scam. The book descriptions on the TikTok ads do not match the actual books. The books read like a misogynistic non-English speaking AI wrote them. There was physical and emotional abuse and a lot of non-consensual acts by the male protagonist in the ROMANCE book I was reading, but all written out in disjointed and broken English. AND you have to pay like $5 to unlock and read EACH chapter after around chapter 25. I tried to finish the book just to learn what happens but I was unable to actually do so because all the chapters were blocked by a paywall.

The app itself is also not reader friendly - you can’t see where you are in the book (you only get in accurate chapter progress) and there’s too much going on on the page. You’ll end up accidentally highlighting everything while trying to read. The volume button page swipe setting also does not work. DO NOT BUY THIS APP!

If you want to throw away money, waste your time checking in daily watching videos, and have your money go missing then is the perfect app for you. The app never let you reach 7 days of checking in. It resets automatically despite you having proof that you checked in daily. So free coins are a joke. It randomly purchases things and uses your available coins that you paid real money for. Customer service is nonexistent to an outright joke. You have to wait on an AI to assist you which is always away from her desk. Try emailing customer service and they send you to the AI. So, a joke. The developers need to address these issues instead of blaming it on customer error. You get daily notifications when you have checked in but yet your progress resets. My advice try another reading app like Readict or Kindle. This one is not it unless you don’t mind losing money and time with nothing to show for it.

There are good stories with interesting plots, I was able to get my eyes off from netflix binge watching and now into binge reading! It’s more of a romance pocketbook-ish instead of a novel. The negative points are: 1.) opening chapters are too pricey. 2.) 99% of the time, it does not record when you check-in. 3.) tho the points help you unlock some chapters through watching ads, they downgraded the points you earn from watching, it used to be 15 points per ad, now it is declining, first few, you get 15, then 12, 11, 6, then 5. 4.) the “help” menu is useless. Even if u try to connect to cust service, it’s going to say, the person is away from his desk or something like that. I still think that they got great authors. I hope these authors can be recognize and be able to promote their stories well. I’ll buy their books right away if they sell it instead of keep opening chapters thru points or few chapters after paying $6.

i’m at a loss

basically, i’d saved up a bunch of coins from daily log-in’s and watching ads. with them, i was hoping to binge-read a novel when i got the chance. however, life happened and i didn’t open the app for a whole two days. i come back today to find that ALL the coins i’d managed to collect are gone. literally at zero

i’m really frustrated tbh. does mobo not care about their readers? i like only two stories available here, and they’re translations. not original content. i have absolutely no qualms about deleting this app, as i can definitely let go of two stories, especially considering how defective and poorly executed this app is

if you’re thinking of getting this: save yourself the trouble and don’t download it. especially if you’re not gonna dish out cash to read really low brow content. i thought i could power through with ads and daily log-ins, but seeing as how all of that can disappear in a second there’s really no point ‍♀️

Can’t say the books aren’t great, so far I have been reading two books which are amazing but the chapters are 4-5 pages long and paying for coins per chapter makes you spend over $50 on a book and it’s not even finished! Way too expensive to read books on this app. Both books I was reading have over 300 chapters and the chapters get more expensive the more you read ! Extremely un pleased with this app. The obsession with the books has made me spend over $80 on coins and I am not even half way through either book ! An average novel costs MUCH less than this ! They purposely make the chapters short and the book long so that you are constantly buying coins to unlock the chapters. And if the book is “ongoing” (which most of them are) it’s likely you’re going to catch up and end up waiting for the author to upload more chapters. If you have money to blow, by all means, the stories are great. If you have bills like myself and can’t afford to spend over $100 on a book, I suggest you find another alternative. I draw the line at $100 for half read books! Ridiculous !

I am not liking the revised formatted look and the color scheme.

The previous layout was perfect in my opinion…it was very easy to read and icons, etc. were nicely placed with a clean appearance…easy on the eyes.

The recently reformatted layout (interface) is “busy”, printed letters are not easy to read, the look is “hazy” in appearance, and my eyes are getting strained just trying to read or see the icons (heck, the “pointing” finger is very faint and barely visible).

In my opinion, this new reformat is geared more towards a young child instead of a grown adult. Not trying to disparage someone, but was it a young person who created this new layout…because it looks too much like other childesh apps. The crestor did not take into account that there a lot of older adults who are reading on this app and not all of us have the perfect eyesight to try to even squint to try to decipher what’s on that particular section nor do we want to jump back and forth.

I loved this app a lot…before the recent reformatted revision. Definitely not as much of a fan now since it has been revised in sections!

If my eyes continue to be strained trying to read on this app, I may decide to quit altogether, because my eyesight is more important to me.

Please take into consideration of those who pay a lot to read on your app…there are a lot of us who are not liking the new change…it is definitely “not user friendly”.

I have read two books. These books are not written by Americans. They are written by Asians or some other demographic that has no concept of how to use American phrases, places, locations, or language is. Some stories say they take place in America, but they way they write seems like they are in Hong Kong, Japan, England, anywhere by America….or some part of Asia

Phrases and spelling is atrocious. For example, when a writer says “they opened the door and got off the car to approach the person..”. It makes no sense. Using you, you’re, your, and yours out of its intended meaning is just annoying.

How is an author going to call the lead man in the story Ethan and then later call him another name? Or misspell a kids name. In one book, there is a little boy who is about 3 or 4 years old but has a vocabulary and mentality of an adult. ‍♀️‍♀️‍♀️

The price you pay for a book that has 500+ chapters is more than a regular book. This site is a rip off. Don’t waist your money (see what I did there)z. This is the kind of crap that is in these books.

They need to know how to conjugate words from present to past tense. It’s like reading a book that is narrated by a kindergartner.

The authors describe arousal scenes and sex scenes like a 3rd grade. It is PBS described. I don’t think the authors are mature to write about such topics if they cant explicitly describe in detail what is happening.

The chapters are shorter than a soap opera scene and have an abundance of drama.

My recommendation: seek out an American or someone whose first language is American English.

Getting out of this app and going to Get a kindle. At least those authors know how to tell a story.

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. I downloaded the app, because one of the stories caught my attention. Interesting story. Quite a few mistakes here and there. Characters name being changed from line to line (Ethan being referred to as Enoch or Janet being referred to as Janice), some grammatical errors. “Seacisco” I was like is that a made up city or is it “Seattle “ ? Or is it “San Francisco “. Even with all those little errors, I want to get to the end of the book. Then after a few chapters, I was asked to support the author. I’m like, that’s fair, the app is free, there’s no harm in supporting a new author. I went ahead and bought the $4.99 and it only lasted a few chapters. And it asked me to buy coins to unlock more chapters. I was like, fine, I’m already hook in this story. I purchased the $19.99 thinking it will last me to the end of the danm book. I was like I spend $20-$25 in a book at Barnes and Noble, so it’s not that big of a deal. But a book at Barnes and Noble is well edited and stories well thought out. I thought the book had 100 chapters , but I was wrong. It’s the slowest burn of all time. I’m in chapter 139. The characters haven’t done much than kissing. Plus, I’m getting backstories of irrelevant characters in the book, lot of chapters wasted on those. Now, they asking me to support the author once more. For ONE BOOK, on what planet a stupid romance book cost more than $50? It’s not a first edition book by Jane Austen. I’ve read better books for free on kindle unlimited. Yet kindle unlimited is just a monthly fee of $9.99 Had that required a monthly subscription and you can read as many books you like. If I purchase an ebook on nook it never cost more than $10 and it’s the same for most romance novel on kindle. It’s not a physical book, there’s not labor, paper, printing cost involved. So, STOP ripping off your customers. Since I already started the danm book. I will finish it. And I will DELETE this stupid app. And if after I spent another $19.99 it doesn’t last until the end of the danm book. I’m done. I will delete the danm app. And made up my own version of how the stupid book ended. That’s crazy, when u read other reviews and see that people spent $100 for one ill written book. I’m not spending more than $50 on an ebook. It’s not a danm college book nor is it an antique book.

I have paid multiple packages wirth of mire than $200 the novel stopped at chapter 397, but the engkish version is on chapter 700 also if i try to keep the English version the system wants to charge me coins again for same chapters I already paid in spanish plus every package was supposed to have extra coins that can’t be use and the points gain haven’t convert in more coins as advertised, i want my money back

I can't understand, how I spend too much money in this book. My purchase are more than 300 and the minimum in each purchase is 19.99. Last week I spend 29.99 on Thursday and today Monday 19.99. And only got three short chapters. These is worse than Gambling. At this point I feel so frustrated, because I can't believe. that that a charter that it was 30 to 50 coins are now 180 or more. I am reading now Charter 1300 and the last Seven charters cost me 49.98. I'm very disappointed 😕

Started reading cause the book looked nice at first glance. In the beginning I got a daily convert from 100 points to 20 coins per day. After a few days this changed to 275 points and 55 coins. Meaning I could read 2 chapters a day. I also bought some coins but after that my amount of free coins a day was restricted to 100 points. Tried for days to contact customer service but even the agent can only generate automatic responses and does not answer questions. Horrible app and the story in which I continued even has flaws and contradictions in it so not worth that amount of money!

I just got this app and I would really like to finish the book I started and of course read more. Im having a hard time grasping the fact that if I buy coins I can only unlock A chapter! I find that ridiculous because if Im gonna spend the money I’d like to unlock more than just 1 chapter! And then the chapters are short! Not saying its all y’all fault but Im saying- unlock more than just 1 chapter! This is such a rip off

This is so expensive! All the replies saying the authors per word count set the price. I don't buy. There should be some sort of cut-off on what could be charged. I got sucked into a story via a Facebook ad. The level isn't even finished but would currently cost me USD 99.99 to read all the released chapters. That is asinine. How is this legal? I use several other reading apps like this, and home of them are this expensive.

The story has short chapters and there are over 400 chapters per book. I’ve spent $50 already and the book is not even finished yet. How can an online book cost that much? It’s ridiculously expensive! It doesn’t make sense either. Online books does not have as much overhead as printed books. Whoever decided on the payments on this App needs to be more considerate. The price should’ve been set either per book or per subscription.

I’ve downloaded the app after reading short chapters on fb, can’t figure out how this app work; at least in Galatea you know every 6 hours is a new chapter available, but I won’t buy coins to read, the cost are way more that a book, an unfinished book, many spelling errors, they are scamming with our love for books

So your author believe is worth more than other well known authors, I spent almost 40.00 and didn’t even reach the end of the stories

I have to give it star but; if it was me I will not have even given it one. How is it that readers are supposed to enjoy reading a book when every time you have to purchase coins to read a chapter. The worse part is that you don't have the option to purchase the ebook. This is the most ridiculous app I have ever encountered. By the time you finished a book you would have paid well over $100 in coins. The app has to be more accessible for the readers.

I feel so scammed. Started reading a very addicting novel and before I knew it I had to pay to unlock the next chapters, which I just had to because it was so good. I assumed for sure that paying $14.99 will, at the very least, unlock the chapters for this one novel. WRONG! After 100 chapters I had to pay in order to unlock each additional chapter. That was so crazy. So upset that I wasn’t able to find a hard copy of this book anywhere. Deleting this app

This app is an absolute rip off. The amount they expect you to pay for coins, on top of the monthly subscription, is absolutely ridiculous. The “developer” will respond that the authors set the price and not actually acknowledge the true feedback they are getting. The novels are good but there are hundreds of small chapters, each costing a ridiculous amount of coins, and you will end up spending literally $100+ on one novel. Stick with traditional novel apps.

I was reading the first few chapters when I decided to sign up. Subsequent chapters were poorly written and it seems the author or translator kept changing the names of the characters. The settings are not fully described and lack depth. The biggest reason I don’t recommend buying this app is because you are asked to support the author every few chapters. I cannot justify paying more chapters for a storyline that lacks depth, character development and requires significant edits.

I thought I was really getting an app that would allow me to read some amazing books but to my dismay I was asked to continue to pay to read one novel! I mean how much can one book cost? I’ve read several books on Amazon for far less- I’ve spent a total of $61.00 and the book is still not at the end! I will never support this app again! Shameful that anyone should charge constantly for you to read one novel! I know I’m the idiot for doing it and I wanted to finish the book I started!

The submit button I LOST THE STORY! I’ve been searching and searching the titles to find it but with no luck. I have literally spent nearly 60.00 US dollars to read this story and I know I’m not near the end and I would love to continue my reading can anyone help please message me or text her I would greatly appreciate it ❤️

I don’t like the new version of this app.I like the old version.In the previous one I usually get coins when I checked in and watched videos but now I get points instead on coins.Even in the treasure hunt all I get is points. I am really very disappointed and frustrated.What’s the point of collecting points when we can only redeem once a day.I have been using this apps.for years and spent quite a lot on it. But now I am hating this new version.I hope that you solve these issues asap.If not then I am going to say goodbye to this app.

I am completely frustrated with this app. I have used it for over a year and within the last two months it is constantly changing. Fees to purchase coins, ability to earn free coins and any number of other things change on a daily basis. It also seems that different people are able to purchase coins a different prices. I do not recommend this app unless you already have books that you’re in the process of purchasing. It is far too expensive and he end up paying a fortune for books on this app. Sadly it used to be one of my favorites.

I’ve unlocked chapters using free coins and now those chapters are locked. I get a message they were unlocked for free and is invalid. I used FREE BONUS COINS from the daily logins, chapter purchases and watching all those advertisements! Now it’s taking my coins to unlock those chapters again since I accidentally turned on auto unlock and can’t change it! That’s another reason for the 1 star. We should be able to turn it off auto unlock in settings and we can’t! Be wary of using this app! A lot of the good books won’t let you use free coins to unlock chapters.

I second the others saying this is a money pit. I’ve spent more than $100 on this book, tried the $14.99 option only to have gone through the money in an hour. This is ridiculously expensive! On top of that you don’t just earn the bonus points you have to jump through a ton of hoops to get what you paid for and was promised. I cancelled. The books are ok but whomever is proofreading should be ashamed of themselves. It’s a nightmare at times. I will have to go back to kindle or traditional books bc I can’t keep spending this kind of money. A crack habit would be cheaper.

It was great for the first week. I started reading a story, got invested, but didn’t have the money to purchase large amounts of coins. I checked in and watched ads to earn enough to unlock individual chapters, but when I went back today to catch up and unlock another, all the previous chapters that I unlocked/purchased are now locked again and I got the notice, “all these chapters were unlocked for free and are now invalid”. It shouldn’t matter whether I unlocked it with paid coins or ones earned watching ads, etc. There are other apps that work better for this purpose.

There’s a few books I really like so far on here an I really want to read them but can’t keep buying coins every day I gave the subscription for the app but it does not give you a lot an also the 100 coins a day is not cutting it when each chapter the coin price goes up to unlock. The games for points are just ripping you off points an when you use the points to redeem coins they only allow u once a day I’m sorry but alot of ppl are going to delete this app because there tired of having to do all this stuff to read maybe 2 or 3 chapter depending on how much the chapter costs
