Since my overcharge refund is being held hostage, mng llc admitted to their error of the overcharge, it appears that this is a "contractual" scam that utilizes questionable company policies. The state attorney generals office seems to serve no purpose along with the mpsc (michigan public service commission) which has a reading and comprehension skill deficit. I wonder if this parallels the intelligence of the average voter, but that is getting off topic. The scam starts with offering a low intro rate plus a get rich quick 50$ exit fee (once you wake up to your error) and an option to lock in your ultimate screw-over rate (per therm). As of 10apr23 current market rate is 0.31600/therm (semco: https://gaschoice.apps.lara.state.mi.us/Choice/CurrentOffers?areaId=4&marketId=1). compare that to my current "lock in" rate of 0.699 and we now begin to see how criminal profit(s) are achieved. Since the state is comfortable with such activities, they could be considered an accessory/accomplice, I wonder if there are any sparks of class-action potential. In closing, I have never tried a "gas choice" program, inflicted by their door-to-door minions, a first I shall not repeat ever again. If the state had any intelligence (yeah I know big "if") they would pull the biz license and confiscate all the assets of a natural gas company.

Ditch gas, embrace electric (enjoy micro grid freedom). Batteries are not the answer...

Desired outcome: as stated above, albeit wishful thinking. a monetary settlement would be scarcely sufficient given the ongoing damages to more than just my household. how many others were conned and have yet to wake up.

a quick update about exiting michigan natural gas llc (july 2023). end of contract reached so renewal was easy to avoid as well as the 50$ early termination fee (get rich easy fee for the company).

not surprising that the refund i was due, from their over charge error, was kept without any mention.

in terms of the state attorney generals office, why do they even exist. i suppose on par with bbb existence.

once again, ditch gas embrace electric (not chemical reaction batteries, flywheel better). here are some example channels on youtube:

and another update, semco scoreboard of anti-gas usage over the winter months. not as low as i would have liked but the hot water heater is in a util closet with no insulation. the pipes lack insulation which further lowers the already low efficiency of a gas fired water heater. but apartment complexes are notorious for thermal inefficiency just like the average "stick built stupidity" housing throughout the country.

compare the pricing volatility of your natural gas supplier vs your electric rate, notice anything? price at the pump is a prime example of premeditated instability as well.

nice to see solid state battery tech on the rise plus other tech options and designs. not hydrogen, using it to replace the current fuel based criminal empire is worthless. h2 might have a place with a self sustaining reactor design (exponential over unity gain) but humans continue to have self destructive habits (ukr/rus).
