took $24000 in insurance claim money
We hired Metropolitan Group Home Exteriors to repair our home. Mark was our rep. The assessed damage came out To $24000. We paid them and was told that our repairs would start the next day. Mark then told us it would happen in 48 hours. I called him after nothing happened and he didn't return my call. I called him two more times the following day in which he started to curse me out and hung up the phone. Our home is still damaged and we have no options to fix it.
The complaint has been investigated and resolved to the customer's satisfaction.
First of all, we've never had a sales person or an employee named Mark. Secondly, If we had collected $24, 000 from a customer and failed to do their job, the first place someone WITH A VALID COMPLAINT would post a complaint is the BBB and probably contact the police or FBI ?
TRUTH is, we have NEVER had a complaint from a real customer filed in 14 years let alone pocket money without doing the job.
Sites that do not verify the validity of a complaint shouldn't be trusted They do No FACT checking.
In fact ANYONE CAN POST ANYTHING ABOUT ANYONE ANONYMOUSLY WITHOUT RECOURSE!
This post is a fake claim probably from a competitor or perhaps one of the many companies offering to help us remove these derogatory posts for thousands of dollars!
Nonetheless, very frustrating for legitimate businesses with stellar reputations!

the roof installed last spring has leaks and missing shingles
We hired metropolitan group home exteriors last spring to tear down and replace a roof on our garage and sheds. It feels like they are leaking more now than before they needed the repair. We called them and after 4 calls we finally got ahold of our project manager Troy King. It took 4 weeks to send someone out to look over everything. Even after they came out we still had leaks all over. Our wood under the shingles started to rot from all the water. I would never recommend metropolitan group home exteriors to my worst enemy.
This is terrible work

Take warning that Metropolitan Group Home Exteriors from Denver Colorado should be avoided. We signed a contact to have them do our work. Part of the deceptive contract was that they were entitled to all overhead and profit and supplement money paid by our insurance. Our estimate was $20, 000 in damage to our home. Metropolitan Group Home Exteriors stated it would be $15000 in repairs, our insurance company sent a check for almost 21k. They used very low quality materials, the home was repaired in early March and with it being June, we see that the fresh paint is now peeling away from our home and every corner of our home. Our stain on our fence has also peeled.
We spoke to other contractors that stated that our repairs should have costed in the area of $10-12k. We brought this up to Troy King who overseen our work on our home he stated that we signed a contract and thats that. They fought with our insurance company to also raise the amount of money received as they said it wouldnt be enough to repair the home, this was only done to further line their pockets with insurance money. Avoid them at all cost. They had me sign this contract so they could act as a mediator of some sort to talk to the insurance company. This is a waste of time and only a way for them to sign a contract early to lock you in so they can be entitled to your overhead, profit, and supplement money. This in no way benefits you or helps your insurance claim. Signing a contract with them before work starts only screws you in the end. Stay away from Troy King and Daniel King.

They ripped us off too. Mark really took us for a ride with his sweet talk.
They came to my neighborhood and left a card. Very unethical to do this to people right after a disaster happens. I agree with you, this is wrong. Will NOT consider them for work ever.

First of all the description of work completed does not match the scope of work for any of the jobs we completed in March. Second, our Arvada customers have been very satisfied with our quality of work and this is reflected in their reviews on the BBB. Third, We never refer to our agreement as a contract. Lastly, we fully guarantee our work for 5 years and have never had a complaint with a customer or review that checks facts or background information. I invite you to give us a call to discuss the matter not anonymously. It is very common for competing companies to post negative reviews on boards about companies to deter potential customers. If you were a legitimate customer of ours we would happily come out and repair anything that was not done to your satisfaction. But at the end of the day this is the first negative review we have received in our 14 years of doing business, and it is from an anonymous person posting on a review board that does no fact checking whatsoever. I’m sure you know if you put your name on this review and posted things that are not factual you would be liable for slander. This appears to be a competing company trying to make a very reputable company look bad.
