This site does not only allow but promotes cyber bullying and trolling...Their privacy policy is also ABYSMAL! They sell ALL your personal information to third parties who quickly spam the crap out of your email!

I'm guessing the responses that disagree have not met the site owner Insomniac, who is the exact type of person who does not care about privacy in the slightest. If he can justify reading other users private messages on the grounds that it's not against the site's privacy policy to do so, then I don't think it's a stretch of the imagination that he would sell personal information of the site's users, especially when sites like Facebook do that already, and since he paid a six-figure price for the site then he obviously cares about making a profit off of it. He's also publically doxxed suspected rule breakers under the flimsiest of evidence and denied them the right to dispute his claims. Last time I checked his status was "Janitor" so I don't know if he's still in charge, but Insomniac is a terrifying person with very distinct sociopathic tendencies. Take it from someone who actually spoke with the person, Insomniac is someone you don't want any association with. Even if he's not personally involved with the forums he is too dangerous a person to risk getting close to.

After having dropped of the net for five years Insomniac posted on the forums some time in 2018. He has never been called out for doxxing people and has not apologized for his actions either. Menewsha has not grown or progressed since 2010 (the site looks exactly, and I mean exactly, like it did eight years ago) but it is a miscarriage of justice that Insomniac has gotten away with his unethical (and possibly illegal) actions of doxxing a user even when the real hacker came forward and admitted his guilt. You can look through his post history if you don't believe me. This all took place around August 2010. You'll also find a lot of the userbase (aside from a few sensible users) either agreeing with Insomniac's decision or excusing his repulsive behavior. When it comes to doll avatar websites, there isn't an admin more evil than Insomniac.

As of this writing, both doxxing/public apology threads (which were made by the doxxing victims under the promise that Insomniac WOULDN'T doxx them if they made them) are still up. Whether you believe the victim's guilt or innocence in the hacking is irrelevant. Doxxing is and remains online vigilantism, and this is never good. It did more to scare away Menewsha's users than it did to dissuade future hackers from attacking the site and protecting them, with users claiming to be terrified that their own admin could reveal their private information under the slightest provocation. This is why Menewsha remains the barren wasteland it is today in an era where giants like GaiaOnline, with thousands of active users, is considered "dead." No amount of justification can excuse of doxxing. It is THE unforgivable sin of the internet. Do not trust Insomniac. He is, like his name suggests, volatile, temperamental, extremely vindictive, and most likely mentally unstable. I wish no ill will on Menewsha as a website nor it's userbase, but as many have claimed in the past, Insomniac IS Menewsha, and as long as that is a reality, as long as he is married to the site, then I can not condone this site as a friendly place. There is too dark a shadow cast over it for it to be worth the trouble.

I wonder how many times you one can copy and paste the sane review? I've seen this exact complaint so many times and I still don't understand. Menewsha is a wonderful, friendly place and the users are like family. We help each other and keep each other safe from people that want to troll and bully us for no reason other than their own personal amusement.

I've been a member of Menewsha now for many years. Menewsha has its bad eggs like everyone else but I can definitely assure you they do not ALLOW trolls. The Menewsha staff goes to great lengths to prevent people from trolling and cyber-ing and bullying. Also, this bit about selling private information is certainly laughable.

They don't SELL private information. Period. Doesn't happen.

Why? Because the staff there cares about its users. The site barely makes enough money to cover its running costs and yet the staff still works hours upon hours upon hours for FREE to make sure the users are still happy.

Does that sound like a community that doesn't give a ###?

I think you are crazy, and probably got banned for doing exactly what you said they "allow". Menewsha is very strict when it comes to their PG13 policies. Especially when it comes to cybering and trolling. And not once in the 6 years I have been a part of the Menewsha.com community have they sold anyone's information.
