Medical Data Systems review: Investigate this company for illegal debt practices.

I called this collection agency regarding a past due medical bill with a total amount of $308. My health insurance didn't cover the cost of the lab. Even though my doctor's office said it would. I never would've had the lab done if the insurance didn't cover it. So, I thought disputing it was the best idea, because I didn't agree to pay $308 for labs. But I then realized it dropped my credit score 29 points and decided to just pay balance in full so my score would go back up +29 points. I called the agency yesterday, 08/17/22, requesting to pay the $308 in full. The representative informed me that I had another medical bill not paid from 4 years ago and she wanted both paid or she would not take a payment. I told her that was a separate account and I wanted to pay the $308 now and work on the other later. She informed me it is the same debt, and they will not take a payment unless I pay $1100. I informed her that what she was doing was illegal. She informed me that is how their office operates and they are deeming it as one debt. I told her that's not how it works. I eventually hung up on her after she responded, since this is in dispute, I legally don't have to talk to you for 30 days so eiather pay $1100 or she not taking payment. This is not legal debt collection practices. Threatening people and holding their credit hostage.
