This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

I never knowingly authoritzed this company to charge my account $88.97 like they did, I truly never read the terms and conditions that I will in the future. These people at the 800 customer service line are rude ignorant people who do not care. I filed a dispute with my credit card company. Too bad we have companies like this since now I will no longer order on the internet from companies. I will stick with Amazon for everything.

This is the worst place that I have ever had to deal with and this weekend when I have time I will be filing complaints with all parties involved. They do this because they know people are too busy and really sometimes not everyone looks at their statements. I am disputing the charge now. I will find the Better Business Bureau in CA and do all that I possibly can from NJ.

Let my daughter (13 years old) order a "sample" of the teeth whitening product for 4.99; I let her use my credit card as it was a small purchase. Another "sample" arrived stating that she was automatically enrolled in the 30day continuity program. I called my bank who stated that I had been charged 88.97 on 12/9/2008 and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I called the company and explained the situation and a very bored employee said that I could not send the product back for credit, without authorization from Luminous Brites. The email address as well as the website do not exist. In these economic times, this is a significant hit for me.

I ordered a "free trial" of this product for s&h only. For 3 months now $88 had been drafted from my account with my permission. I have not been able to contact this company my e-mail or telephone. But the money continues to be drafted from my account. Also the very expensive product is CHEAP and not worth even the s&h. I have used it as directed and have noticed some difference but less than with using Whiten Strips. I hope anyone considering this product reads this and chooses NOT to!

Fit Factory, Celebrity Smiles, Luminous Brites, Ivory Whites, Ivory Smiles and I'm sure various other names are all ran by the same company and they all charge your account without permission. Additionally the order form that first comes up when you order the sample contains their terms and conditions either in a scroll box that is less than a 1/2 inch tall or actually can't be seen until you've give them your credit card information. Later they will send you a different web address where the "membership" terms are clearly marked to prove that you agreed. They ignore requests for the full refund that their website says will be given. Also the sample product comes in a zip lock bag and has no ingredient label or proper packaging. I didn't actually use the sample because I was afraid of what might actually be in that syringe. I have emailed repeatedly as according to their directions and they continue to respond with a form letter threatening what will happen if I dispute their charges, but they never reply to the request for the return authorization. This is a definite scam.

I paid $4.99 and received one syringe of teeth whiteniing gel. I called the company and asked to send me no more products. I received a shipment of 2 more syringes of the gel in 11/13 and my credit card was charged $88.97. I haven't used any of the products. I would like to return your product to you and get the full refund. Again, I have disputed the charge from my credit card company and you will not receive any payment any way.

I called your customer service and I was told to write to you before I mail the shipment back, to see if it's OK to mail it back. Please reply to me to let me know the address to return the shipment (the second shipment is still sealed not even opened)

So this is how my 'nightmare' begins, I was sent an email approx. 3 months ago and the email stated that you could receive a free trial of tooth whitener for shipping and handling fee only. I did pay the fee unbeknowst to me that would come back to haunt me 3 months later when they unlawfully charged my credit card for $88.97. As soon as I was charged, I checked the bank statement as to what was going on with this transaction. The only clue I had to go on that it was from Glendale, Ca. I immediately contacted my local bank and was advised in order to be re-imbursed I must file a police report. The Police Dept. advised that they would report the unlawful transaction to the High-Tech Crimes Division but since the perpretators are not local, not much chance of getting any local enforcement agency to act on the complaint/report that I filed in order to satisfy the local financial institution. Of course again, like so many that have reported this, I did try to call their #'s and that was the first thing I did but never got any answer than a blatent recording of how to 'so call cancel' your account via email and then the recording would just hang up after that message. You could never leave them a message for you to call back. And forget about trying to cancel on the internet, after all what and when did you sign up for it? I sure never saw the 'so called 'fine print' to cancel after your 'free trial'. I am just so furious after I learned what happened and like so many others that have complained as well about the same story, I knew that I was scammed as well which has made me madder than hell. The ironic thing is that after I reported all this to the authorities, they have the adasity to send me another kit with proper documentation this time. I have since turned this over to the local authorities as proof of this so called scam. And of course, they now include how to cancel the future shipments but I sure dont recalling anything in the email to back up that I signed up for extra shipments, etc. One more thing to this story, my email has since disappeared and also the so called shipping and handling fee were never charged from the bank either.

I ordered the free sample and all of a sudden here is another package with a supply and a note saying they will charge my card 89.97 every thirty days. I am on a fixed income I cannot afford anything like that. I was under the impression that it was a thirty day supply and a free sample just the shipping charges for trying the product. This is the second time this month that this has happened to me. Why do you not make this clearer. The first 30 days is free after that it is not. I don't want it. Would you please cancel it. I will send the product back for a full refund. I need a return address if this is acceptable. I cannot get you on the phone.

I wasn't aware of the fact that if I sampled their product and didn't cancel within 20 days that this company would send me more of this teeth whitening product, charging me $88.97 every 30 days. I only agreed, to my knowledge, that I would pay the postage on a trial basis and if I wanted to continue it would be my decision. I am going to cancel this 30 day continuity program and I am returning the shipment I just received, without my permission I might add. Also, I am contacting my bank to stop any charges made to me. I will never put myself in this situation again. It's too bad because I have had business transactions many times with reputable companies and never once have I been put in this position of having to defend myself to discontinue something I never agreed to in the first place.

I ordered the trial package at shipping charges onil($4.99) and was given 20 days to cancel any future orders. I canceled my order in 19 days after I ordered my trial and 8 days after I received my trial. I was charged $88.97 on my visa card 11/20/08. I sent them an email as they requested in order to cancel within the 19 days. I called their # [protected] and all the message says is wait for your party to be reached and within 1 minute the phone gets diconnected. I tried several times. Diffenitly a scam.

I ordered a free sample online and paid shipping charge 0f 4.99 on 9/16/08.
Another sample or order was sent to me a few weeks later, which I did not order. So i called and said i did not want anything sent to me.
Yesterday my credit card bill has a charge of $88.97 on it, none of which I authorized. I called the # on the card and he guy I spoke with was a real jerk.
I want this charge off my credit card or i will go to the Attorney General.

I read the flyer and decided it was not for my liking when they clearly stated " . . . you have been enrolled in the 30 day continuity propgram in which you will receive a refill of Luminous Brites . . . for $88.97 every 30 days . " I did Not sign up for this " continuity program ". I therefore called their [protected] number and was told to go to their web site and state reasons for " Letter Refund ". So as a result of getting a run-a-round, I am requesting a "RETURN AUTHORIZATION NUMBER" and authorizating my credit card company to stop payment, And notifing my attorneys of this grave unjustice, knowing that hundereds of citizens are taken advantage of.
Respectfully and Sincerly,

I sent for a trial off for a teeth whitener. It cost 4.99 plus 1.00 shipping..I received it, used it, and then was going to buy it at a local drugstore, when another shipment of the same trial arrived, or so I thought. It was my "monthly" supply of the teeth whitening product, and they informed me that I would be charged 88.97 per month for future shipments. They said I could cancel at anytime and they gave me a website...so I cancelled, kept the receipt, sent back the whitener. It still has not been put back in my checking account so I called them...it sounds like the same story they are giving everyone...I should have read the fine print...I do not remember seeing any fine print...I only wanted a sample...so now what do I do to get my money bacK? they told me to write to their billing dept, so I will try that but I doubt that I will have much luck. Thanks, for a place to air my gripes and warn others. Polly Dersch

This company relies on pulling people in with a free sample then charges people's credit cards if they don't cancel right away. They charge $88.97 for a tiny little bit of tooth whitening supplies. They do this because obviously their product is not good enough to market it in an honest way. They put conditions in fine print as they know most people don't read the whole agreements. Even if you don't like the product they say you can't return it, and you are stuck with the bill. This is pure fraudulent, deliberately deceptive marketing. Beware honest, good people. These people are scammers.

My wife sent in for a FREE trial of this luminous brites whitening trial after paying shipping and handling. Less than a month later low and behold we received another package of this $89.97 whitening crap. We then noticed the charge to our bank account. She read all instructions and terms and conditions (she is a teacher with a masters degree) she told me that there was no side box about conditions or terms of being a member of this monthly reoccurring charge.

Several attempts have been made by email and telephone with no results. I threated them with attorney general, BBB, and legal action. They laugh it off and hang up on me. They also informed me that there is no other way to contact the return department but by email. He tells me that the office has no phones in it. These people treat you like your stupid and that they know that they have got over on you.

I want to do anything within my power to make sure these ### pay for what they have done to everyone involved in this scam.

If anyone has succeeded in getting your money back let me know what works.

I didn't care for the initial trial and wanted to return the next 2 shipments that they rushed out to me. I called their support & after waiting on the hold line for a very long time they said i needed to email support at Luminous to get a RO # for a credit. I emailed twice with no response. Called support line again and waited 14 minutes for someone. They would only tell me that I had to email for RO & wouldn't do anything to help me. I asked for a supervisor & he said he was & kept repeating that my only option is to continue to email for an RO#. Oh, & I was hung up on 3 different times with support too. Still no resolve on my credit for the $88. This is definitely a rip off company.

Like everyone else. I signed up for the trial offer and saw nothing about a continous monthly supply billed at $88.97. In fact, the first shipment I received after my trial, there was no paper work with it except the directions for use. Nothing about the billing or return information. I only discovered the charge while looking through my bank statement. The web site does not come up. I will attempt the phone number and email and I guess then resort to canceling my bank card as this seems to have worked for other people. What a fraud. This has to stop.

I was sent an e-mail from an unsoliceted company. I was offered a free trial of their product, only to pay shipping and handling. (4.99) My checking account was then charged 88.97 for something I NEVER ORDERED OR AUTHORIZED THEM TO TAKE FROM MY ACCOUNT! THIS IS FRAUD. I EXPECT MY FUNDS TO BE RETURNED TO ME ASAP. I will also be filing a complaint with my bank to notify them of the illegal transaction in which your company has performed.. This is not OK for you to keep doing to innocent people. I NEVER ORDERED YOUR PRODUCT OR ENROLLED IN ANY PROGRAM.. It is pretty sad when the only way for you to get clients is to trick them. You must have an excellent product on your hands.

I was fooled into thinking that luminous brites was a reputable company and just wanted me to sample their product. They mailed the product with absolutely no implication that I was on a trial period and that my card would be charged twenty days later for $89. I tried to contact the company several times and no one picked up the phone. Two days later I received a generic e-mail from them saying that I had committed to these charges after I didn't cancel my free trial membership. I never thought of reading the fine print. I disputed all charges with my bank and in less then a week all money was refunded to my account. I have learned my lesson and will never input my credit card information unless I am positive I am on a trust worthy site. I just hope that others who have been misled by luminous brites understand that they can get their money back by simply disputing the charges.

This company *** you in with a promise of a FREE teeth whitening sample. What you find out later is that they keep your card information and then charge you every month 88.97 until you call and cancel. This information is not visible in the web pages only in the terms and conditions area. The webpage is covered with FREE FREE FREE but this is a SCAM SCAM SCAM! If you get in touch with someone to cancel you are informed that they don't want the products back they have been sending you (although you didn't want it all to begin with). SCAM

Luminous Brites took $88.97 from my bank account. I did not authorize nor want any product they produce. I had paid 4.99 +1.00 shipping for a sample. It arrived, it was too complicated and never used it. Next thing I knew Luminous Brites had sent another packet. I had called and cancelled and told them at that time that I wanted my $88.97 returned to my account or my home address. So far, nothing.

About 3 weeks ago I paid $4.99 shipping for a 'free' trial of Luminous Brites that I still have not received. Today I noticed a charge of $88.97 pending on my bank account from the same company. With the help of my bank I got the number of the company that charged me the original $4.99 (not much information can be provided on a company until the pending charge has gone through). The number I called was the Customer Service department for Luminous Brites. They claim there is no phone number for the Billing Depatment but they could be reached by e-mail to explain my situation. So, at this point, I do not have any information concerning a refund until the Billing Department replys to my e-mail.

Should I get a full refund I will gladly post it; however, at this point I don't think the company is in a rush to refund me, or any other consumer, soon.

I answered a product questionnaire and paid the 4.99 shipping for a Crest teeth whitener kit. I did not authorize Luminous Brites to bill my credit card for 88.97. Will I ever get my visa credited for the 88.97? What more can I do but complain to you? Was I scammed? When I call the Luminous Brites toll free number they refer me to this web site. Something's wrong.

When ordering the free sample (pay shipping only), I did not see anything about authorizing automatic monthly shipping for $88.97.
Why doesn't this company ask for the automatic shipping/billing authorization separately? I never received my $88.97 shipment.
Therefore, this company stole my money.

Bait and switch tactics. Plus no product delivery!

They offer you a free sample just for paying the shipping, then charge you $88.97 for one months supply if you don't cancel in 20 days. This company is the lowest of the low. They send the free trial and give 20 days to cancel or you get automtatically charged for your first month's product. Then the sample product doesn't come for almost 20 days, but they pop a charge on your CC and don't even bother to actually send the product. A class action law suit should be leveled at the perpetrators of this consumer fraud.

This organization is a total scam and needs to be stopped. I am being billed $88.97 a month for a product I never ordered or received. I am totally frustrated like thousands of others.
