I got an email offer supposedly from one of the warehouse clubs for a "free" zb230a smart sweeper. I did not see anything about that I had to cancel anything. I did have to pay $9.95 for shipping and gave my cc number. When placing the order I never saw any mention of any recurring charges or time requirement to cancel or get refund. This order was placed on 12/24/22 and cc charged for $9.95 for living smart electronics. The zb230a arrived a few days later and it was about half the size I expected. I was supposed to call [protected] to return if I did not like the sweeper. Nowhere on the order page was this mentioned. On jan. 9, 2023, I noticed a charge on my cc for $149.95 to a new company of worldlo*robotsmartself with a different [protected] for customer service. After two days of trying to call, I got a cs rep. And he said I had to cancel within 14 days of purchase, and I had missed the deadline. After arguing awhile, he said he could only refund 75%. Because I had trouble getting call through and on recommendation by my cc company the card was closed the day before the final call. He said he could do no refund on the closed card. I asked for a check to be mailed, but he said he could not do that. I told him I would file a complaint and hung up. Help!

Desired outcome: Get a check mailed and post these companies as SCAMERS.

Virtually the exact sequence happened to me.

This exposes that CROOKS are now (currently) smarter

than the credit card security departments.

How EMBARRASSING ...!

Living Smart Electronics did 'exactly' the same thing to

me on my CHASE credit card. Now are FORCED to have

a new card replace my old card which is useless to me

until I receive the new card...!

Also note CHASE will not give any type of guarantee that

this won't happen again - virtually immediately... Meaning it

could happen with the new card on my first use...!

I had the SAME EXPERIENCE but I was on a Walmart website and was asked to do a survey and I had 5 choices of 5 FREE gifts to choose 1 for completing the survey. I did the survey and chose the floor vacuum robot. NEVER did it say I was on a 14 day free trial and my checking would be auto deducted 154.27 after the 14 day free trial! The robot vacuum arrived and I laughed so hard when I opened the package… it was small, cheap and childlike size. I tried to see if it worked and it barely went forward more than 10 feet and stopped! My bank refused a charge of 154.27 on my bank twice but somehow it was accepted the last attempt and I had no idea what it was about. I called 2 days in a row and left my # and received a call back l 6/25/23 and was told the 154.27 was for the robot vaccum that I agreed to the 14 day free trial. THIS WAS NOT ANYWHERE ON THE SURVEY AND I DIDNT HAVE TO PAY POSTAGE FEE. If it was there it was in such fine print you couldn’t see it! I requested a refund and to return the vacuum and he said there is no return no refund agreement I agreed to! So I want to get advice what to do to get my money back and return this silly “GIFT”

I experienced this same "scam." In my case, I responded to an offer for a wireless WiFi repeater at a cost of $9.95. Two weeks later I found a charge for $157.95. In reviewing my statement, the initial charge was by LIVING SMART ELECTRONICS. The second charge was by DIGITAL DIMENSIONS OUTLET (DDO). Thanks to a Google search I found this posting. With information in hand, I reached out to DDO by phone, explained the situation and they posted a $157.95 credit to my account.

I'm fortunate, as a retired educator and former lawyer, to know how to deal with issues like this. That unfortunately isn't the case with many people facing a similar situation.
