I hereby wish to lodge my complaint about Lion of Africa Life Assurance.
I joined this policy on the 1st of October 2016 and the premium was R360.00 per month. I paid it cash but as the time went on I decided to pay it via debit order because sometimes I didn't have a chance to go to their offices.
I alway send them an email to check the status of these policies and if there is an outstanding amount I used EFT to pay. Even in July 2020 I requested the status of my policies and they confirmed that they are uptodate.
To my surprise in September 2020 when I received an sms that my policies have outstanding amounts of R3, 792.00 and I did a follow-up, refer to the attached conversations with Lion of Africa Life Assurance.
I sent an email and I was told that the premium has been increased from R360.00 (Three hundred and sixty rands) to R1, 164.00 (One thousand, one hundred and sixty four rands) for LNFS00623888 and R89.00 (Eighty nine rand) for LFS630733 they never told me about the cover for the one for R89.00 and they said nothing about the increase to the cover. I asked them to give me my refund because I felt that it was too much for me. Since then I never received any response from them.
