Link Promotions Ltd
A man called my business, Howard's Pet Care and said that I had an invoice to pay for google. He called me on four consecutive days asking for
£300 and then when I asked for an Invoice it came through for £360 including VAT. The initial calls were made from a phone registering a number and subsequent calls came up as anonymous. He has chased me again this morning for payment of the invoice and stressed that his company was part of google or acting on their behalf. I do believe that this is a scam?
Desired outcome: To know the truth
Manage my google business listing
Scammers. This company called me today on our business land Line and explained that they look after & manage my business Listing On behalf of Google. His name was apparently James Matthews, very convincing normal sounding English man. After a few minutes checking with me that all our details Where correct on the Google listing, he then said if I would like to renew The listing for another year It would cost £360. I said I did not remember having to pay this last year and he said yes it was the same deal as last year. I ask him to send details and an Invoice by email and I would look into it. He said he would call back later today once I had checked invoice for payment over the phone. That's wheN I realised because to Invoice heading was Link Promotions Ltd from Lancashire,, Never ever heard of them before.
So I searched online to find many other people had report this company as Scammers and fraudsters. So I called him back and because he probably thought I was going to pay he answered the call,, so I told him in a few words what I thought of him.
Don't have anything to do with these company,, Scammers
I actually realised Eventually I deal with this listing myself through google Manage business Listings (adwords) Free listing
seo scam
This alleged SEO company tricked me into believing that without their SEO input I would not appear on the front page of Google. Not only that but they have taken £240 out of my account on July 6th 2017 and again on November 23rd 2017. I have emailed requesting repayment and suggesting legal action but have heard nothing. Can I take legal action to recover my money?

Is Link Promotions legit?
Link Promotions earns 11% level of Trustworthiness
Serious Risk Warning: Complaints Board's evaluation of Link Promotions shows a critical trust level at 11%. Avoid for personal and financial safety.
With only 0% of 0 complaints being resolved, Link Promotions slow complaint resolution rate suggests poor service, lack of responsiveness, or a lack of helpfulness, causing frustration to users. It is obvious that the company has the lowest level of trust.
Exercise caution when using linkpromotions.net as it may have lower quality content or a poor user experience, leading to fewer visitors and lower traffic.
Link Promotions protects their ownership data, a common and legal practice. However, from our perspective, this lack of transparency can impede trust and accountability, which are essential for establishing a credible and respected business entity.
However ComplaintsBoard has detected that:
- We found clear and detailed contact information for Link Promotions. The company provides a physical address, phone number, and email, as well as 3 social media accounts. This demonstrates a commitment to customer service and transparency, which is a positive sign for building trust with customers.
- The age of Link Promotions's domain suggests that they have had sufficient time to establish a reputation as a reliable source of information and services. This can provide reassurance to potential customers seeking quality products or services.
- Linkpromotions.net has a valid SSL certificate, while Scammers can obtain a valid SSL certificate by using fake information or by using a stolen or hijacked domain. In some cases, they may even use a certificate issued to another legitimate website.
Fraudulent card payments
Link Promotions rang asking for renewal for which I paid. I then discovered that this was about 6 months prior to when the next renewal was due. After some months somebody claiming to be from their accounts department rang to say I was due a refund since they had made a mistake on the renewal date. Like a fool I gave them card details and within a day some £1500 had been used in fraudulent purchases. I originally thought that Link Promotions was a genuine company. Now I realise the whole thing is a scam. They seem to have got greedy by openly making fraudulent charges to cards as well as the ongoing scam of doing nothing for the money. Don't have anything to do with them
Free trial not for free
I clicked on linkpromotions.net pop up which was offering free trials on face creams that promise to be better than cosmetic surgery. After I'd signed up for the face cream and didn’t get it. I have contacted the company and they have cancelled any future transactions but will not refund the money they have taken.
Link Promotions - It is fraud.
Link Promotions has stolen $195. They called me some time ago and told that if I will not update my Google account, it will be closed down. They asked me to pay this $195 and then my account will be opened again. I did what they asked as they spoke very convincingly. It is fraud.
