Lenton Lodges Hotel near Gatwick Airport review: The condition of the room and place in general

The picture on the website is NOT a true reflection of the actual property, it is rundown dirty and the car park was not safe to park our carin . I rang the bell and some man shouted out the window WHAT I informed him I had booked a room and he stated he be down in a min, several ins later a man answered the door said the host was out but he could help. He had blue shirt on most of the buttons under and had stains all over the front. The carpet was sticky and the stairs bow when yo u stepped on them. The room was on the first floor and he opened the door and there was an odour in the room , the table was sticky and the bed was all marked, I asked about bathroom, it was downstairs, no option of breakfast either. When te man left his passing comments he didn't like any noise especially in the morning. When he left the room I checked the pillows, and they were stuffed with cushion with more stains on and the bed wasn't mush better. The whole place is filthy rung down and not cleaned. There was no response from the door the man went in so we left nd put the keys on the downstairs table as instructed. We didn't stop a moment longer. I rceived some form of bites in the brief time we were in the place.
