LAKHANI GROUP LEICESTER review: APPALING SERVICE/GOODS NOT DELIVERED 67

Not sure that's the way, but hey each to their own. I'm hoping they develop a conscience and realise that no good ever comes of ripping people off. It's not just about now, they are discrediting themselves completely for the future of their business. I know quite a few people who have used them in the past and have now used other people and are continuing to book with other people for next year too. As for us, we're still waiting for them to complete our photos and videos from August last year! I wonder if they're ever going to deliver or just carry on being the con artists they're now known across Leicester as!

who would be interested in meeting up with me and paying a visit to them as i can do the research and find out where they live

That's interesting, as I saw one of them talking to a customer earlier today! They are most definitely still in the country. They're not going to get rid of the people they've ripped off that easily.

i have used Lakhani group recently and once you pay them it all goes down hill...Snehal and Anit are a pair of jokers !

Does anyone know how to get hold of them, since my last post on 20/09 - the website is back online.

I cant even get hold of them now, their shop never seems to open, and their mobiles dont work as of this week, and their website has gone down as well as their email addresses; they dont seem to deliver. These guys need to be arrested.

The Lakhani Group are the most disgraceful company I have ever come across. I got married in Febuary, I booked my stage and chocolate fountain through them ...which they delivered. However! The camera man on my Mendhi day was useless, he came late, was eager to leave, disappeared throughout the day. When I complained Anit Lakhani was very apologetic and told me that this wouldn't happen again. The Nikkah, Wedding and Walima day went OK as far as the camera man and photographer were concerned.
Lakhani were very keen to get their money before the wedding. They constantly chased payments and in the end I paid the full amount.
Now I have been chasing them for 7 months and
Have no wedding movie or photo albums ...nothing to remember the most important day of my life. I leave messages, send texts but they don't care. I received a text from Snehal Lakhani 3 days ago ...after I left countless messages, sent countless texts, visited the office in Leicester numerous times -always to find it closed! He text me saying he was very sorry ...he had been unwell and would call me at 6pm that day! Obviously I have not receive a phone call.
I am so stressed about this, my family and friends keep asking me why I haven't received my wedding video and photo albums... Those that are abroad want to see these- they couldn't be part of the day but want to be able to at least see the video or photos! I don't think I will ever get these.
Lakhani have no morals or ethics ...they are heartless people who do not care about their customers who book them, give them their money in advance with good faith!
I do not know how these people can sleep at night! How they can carry on with their lives without any consideration for people like me.
They can't get away with this.
I even text them to say that they can just give me the original video and photos -without the editing and album which we paid for! Just so we have something - we can always get the edits and album done elsewhere! But they just won't respond!
I am so frustrated! Angry! Stressed and Upset!
Need watchdog to do something!

I had the same nightmare experience as so many people on here. They never delivered my video or photos and its been over a year - no money back either. Absolute ###!

I used lakhani's about five years ago for my sisters wedding video coverage, I was satisfied at the time, as some one previously commented this was when anit's father was alive, I'm sure that if he was alive to see what the companies practises are now, he would completely ashamed.
I asked lakhani to cover my wedding video footage last year, once anit had the money I did not hear from him at all, I had to chase him up to confirm details . Once my wedding had been filmed, I did not hear from them at all for a couple of months, I chased them up and got the excuse that anit was in hospital and that there was a death in the family, the biggest excuse was that the camera man had gone on holiday without leaving my wedding footage in the office. After numerous trips to Leicester I then contacted a solicitor to help in this situation but once again we have had no luck with lakhani.
We have emailed watchdog,
I feel that everyone that has bad experiences should take there stories to watchdog and wedding magazines too. So that people can truly see lakhani for what they now are. A big con.!

I have been through the same! 13 months now and still no video/photo album and the compensation for missing and damaged decor for the wedding day. I have contacted citizens advice and about to get in contact with the small claims court to get my money back etc. I have just sent a massive email to watchdog explaining what happened and what me and my wife have been through!

In addition, Anit and co do not answer calls/email/texts at all! if i do get through on the off chance i get rubbish. How can someone 'Anit' run a business if he is never in the shop when you call? For 13 months he's never been there when i call which is like everyday?

STAY AWAY! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

Anyone who is in a similar situation complain to citizens advice, watchdog and get in touch.

I used them recently and they totally let us down. I won't add to the dialogue above, their behaviour is as described and totally obscene. Complaining on this website isn't enough. Tell all you r friends and families, get the word spread up and down the country so these cowboys are known for who and what they are.

companies house lists there address as : Oakfield House, Thurlaston Lane, Earl Shilton. Leicester. LE9 . This is a different address to the 37 Melton Road, Leicester. LE4 6PN address however.

Totally agree Lakhani is one of the worst companies ever, they employ unprofessional people without any experience what so ever. No background of media knowledge in video or photography. Both brothers know how to rip people of once the money is in their pockets they don't want to know you I think this matter to should be taken forward to watchdog!

Disgusting service! They should be done for fraud! I can't believe they have the cheek to ruin weddings! They owe me money! Wish I had read all of the bad reviews before transferring them money! DO NOT USE LAKHANI!

Completely agree with all the complaints made on this board. They have made a massive ### up at my cousins wedding. HD1 and I were at the same wedding and must say it was an embarrassment. We had 30+ wedding guests to help put the covers and bows on the chairs as the grooms side waits outside. The quality of mandip and the backdrop was awful, I don't think they seem to wash or repair any of their decor. Anyone decides to have their wedding planned avoid this company, they used to be good now that the sons have taken over they are living off the name that once used to provide quality service.

They are useless and incompetent. They completely ruined my friend's wedding day, didn't deliver half of what was promised and charged thousands. Half the table decor was missing, hardly any flowers in the arrangements compared to the pictures, no lighting as promised, backdrop was awful and not what was chosen, they decided the venue looked better without chair covers and bows so left them in the corner in a pile. We had to put the covers on while the groom's side had already arrived. We had to constantly keep checking they were doing what they had been paid to do, the last thing you want when you're preparing for a wedding. A completely unprofessional company, ruined my friend's dream day.

Now I am receiving abusive texts from Snehal.

I agree with all of the bad reviews and have also submitted a complaint on this board. Anit and Snehal's phone numbers don't work anymore - if anyone has another number for them please get in touch. They ruined my wedding and I want my money back!

So my fiance and i are in the midst of arranging some wedding options with Lakhani, travelled to their office abuot 4 months ago, where the world was promised. All emails and phone calls were answered with immediate effect..until the first payment was made. Since then they have been chased continuously and they have not responded. Its a good job i have family in leciester that knew his parents. We have used other external companies i.e. a DJ etc, and payment to them to reserve their services have been hard to get, forward dated cheaques and cheaques for the inccorect amount were provided, however after much pressure the required deposit were paid.
After Anit intervened, saying he was disappointed in his brother Snehal for not sorting our concerns, Anit said he would resolve the issues. Since then he has failed to do so. And has not bothered to stick to his promises. We have subsquently gone with another company, and are trying to get a refund. I will say anyone who wants a stress free wedding service - DO NOT GO WITH LAKHANI, their promises are worthless. Absolutely disgusted with both the brothers. They wont get away with this, court beckons for them.

This sums them up completely. We had three events where Lakhani group were meant to provide decorations. They were soooo late for all three events. The decorations were ripped and looked awful. they were so late that they were setting up in front of our guests. They brought the wrong stuff in their van, missed out so many things that were paid for. They bullied us into making a payment upfront then didnt deliver the service. They caused so much stress on the day and no one ever takes responsibility! Anit and Snehal never ever answer their phones and dont even have the decency to chase up their workers when they are hours late. I would never recommend them to anyone. Please all of you out there who are looking to book them, do not fall into the "too good to be true" quotes they give. they honestly ruin events and cause unnecessary stress that is not needed. You would rather pay that little bit extra and make sure that your event runs smoothly. take my word for it.. Please can someone advise how i can take this to watchdog, i dont see how they can continue to get away with this.

The Lakhani Group used us to suppy some entertainment for an event they were putting on in September. After numerous phone calls and emails we have not been paid and upon further research have found out that they have (from January 2012) appointed a liquidator for voluntary winding-up. So please, DO NOT waste your money on this company.

I've been trying to get my wedding DVD for 18 months. Anit just ignores all my calls and when he does answer his always got some excuse. They are the WORST company I've ever dealt with.

The worst decision i have made is to use lakhani group for my wedding. They didn't come on time, forgot half the items, the mandap was half broken, the carpets were hazidious and people were tripping on it, they didn't deliver half the items and i didn't even get an apology.

I have been trying for a year to get compensation but they keep playing games.

I'm now going to go through watchdog. They have had so many complaints. If anyone is with me please get in touch via this blog.
