Last June , I contacted the company to lay a new driveway at my new home. After agreeing on price of 5600.00, paying 1k as a down payment, and paying the balance in full, the worked seemed satisfactory. 10 months later, I now have several small craters on one side of my driveway. I contacted several individuals who explained to me that the concrete was mixed with too much water which created "air pockets" and the craters are the end result. I contacted the company seeking help to correct this. After 10 months, there should be no issues. The owner told me it was due to salt from the past winter. I told him that I park in front of my house and not in my driveway. I also said I could see that as a possible reason for a driveway that was older than 10 months. He then told me that for an additional 2k more, he can have is crew out to power wash and put two coats of sealant on it. This I find unacceptable resolution for a relatively new driveway that is used for aesthetics.

Krone's Concrete did my driveway in September . By March , it started chipping in multiple places, mostly the size of a dime or quarter. I messaged *** and he told me to call him. Now, in May 2022, the chipping has gotten worse. It's affecting every panel of the driveway, and there are big patches of crumbling that make it look terrible. I sent *** pictures and asked how he planned to fix it. He ignored my text for three days, so I offered to settle for 5K instead of going to court if he didn't want to replace it. *** doesn't stand by his work. He suggested filing claims with my homeowners insurance, the city, and the concrete provider. He even accused me of putting salt and ice melt on it, which I didn't, and said he's not here to fix what I ruin. His contract said Krone's provided the materials, so they should be responsible for this poor product.

My concrete pad that was poured on 9/14 got a low spot where water gathers, and the contractor admitted it's their fault and not up to their quality guarantee. Also, in that part of the pour, the crew left some obvious defects in their paddle marks, showing poor craftsmanship. They even damaged our retaining wall by accidentally hitting it with their equipment. To make matters worse, the contractor started the job without including the steps in the quote, and then increased the bid by over 500 bucks, leaving me with no choice but to stick with them since I had a fence installation scheduled for the following weeks. I brought all these issues to their attention as early as 9/14, but the contractor only asked for photos of the pooling problem and never mentioned the paddle marks or the damage to the retaining wall. Despite my multiple attempts to reach out to Krone's, it wasn't until 12/13 that the contractor and I discussed possible solutions. At this point, the only solution offered is for me (the buyer) to pay for the concrete needed to re-pour the section with the pooling issue and to cover the cost of fixing the retaining wall. They also suggested adding more unsightly saw cuts to hide the shoddy work, but that won't truly fix the problem of an uneven pour with a low spot that causes pooling.
