Kickstarter review: Women of purgatory special edition hardcover omnibus – 10th anniversary luxe edition

I am filing a complaint regarding Kickstarter creator Tish Thawer and her campaign “Women of Purgatory Special Edition Hardcover Omnibus – 10th Anniversary Luxe Edition.” The campaign funded and closed on October 14, 2023, and nearly three years later, I have still not received the promised reward.

I contacted the creator requesting a refund and updates multiple times through Kickstarter (April 23, 2026 and August 27, 2026) and via her personal author email (September 2, 2026). All messages went unanswered. After the personal author email was sent, then an update was posted later that same day. However, it provided no concrete fulfillment timeline and stated only that delivery “may” occur by the end of the year.

The creator also acknowledged that her other three Kickstarter campaigns remain unfulfilled, demonstrating a clear pattern of non‑delivery across multiple projects.

Under Kickstarter’s Terms of Use, creators are required to fulfill rewards, provide timely updates, respond to backers, and issue refunds if they cannot deliver. The creator has violated these obligations by failing to fulfill the reward, failing to communicate, and ignoring refund requests.

Requested Resolution:
-A full refund for this campaign.
-An investigation into the creator’s repeated failure to deliver across four campaigns.
-Public documentation of this issue to protect other consumers.

This situation reflects ongoing non‑delivery, lack of communication, and potential misuse of crowdfunding funds, and requires external intervention.
