I paid for a large healthy GermanShepherd health guaranteed right..what I received is a very allergic. ...epileptic...German Shepard that is the smallest I've seen...I asked them about allergy ideas..they took 6 weeks with no answer to respond...I'm writing this because they cold shouldered me on allergies. ...now it's epilepsy. ...I feel guilty thinking of asking for my money back because we do love him dearly...so I won't ask them anything g again...I don't think there unique. ...I would love to see more straight shooters in this world of bs we live in...thanks for reading.

We purchased a GSD puppy in 2017 from this breeder. I can attest to constant allergy issues, autoimmune disease, GI issues and eplipsey that have cost us thousands to treat and diagnosis. In addition to medical, aggression issues have been observed since our dog was very young which we've again spent thousands to assist behaviorally. We contacted the breeder about immediate diseases the dog was carrying at first vet pick up and the aggression issues. We were blamed and then blown off entirely. Seeing others on here is validating of our six year journey with our pup. Absolutely wouldn't recommend.

We have had German Shepards in our home for almost forty years now. We purchased a female German Shepard “ Talynn” from Kelly’s seven years ago. We have a 10 year old we got from a different breeder. She’s a sweetheart. Talynn was overprotective-from the start - very alpha and almost impossible to train. She always had been food aggressive and a bully too. In the last 6 months she’s become so aggressive to the point we are thinking of putting her down. She is so unpredictable now and hates everyone except my husband and I .

It’s like she had a psychotic break. She attacked our mini Aussie that she has lived with for a few years, snapped at my four year old grandson that just walked by and cornered aggressively our special needs foster daughter who’s lived here Two and a half years. She didn’t touch her. We have always had to kennel her when visitors come . We live on a working ranch so she’s a huge risk to others.

We muzzled her for a vet visit to rule out pain or any other cause and the vet found nothing. I believe it’s the breeding because when we went to pick out a puppy the father of the puppies was incredibly aggressive to the point I thought he was going to rip open the fence with his teeth🙀 Maybe hind sight is 20/20 and we should of not brought her home.

I to purchased a German shepherd female in 2014 from Kelty's German shepherds and almost from the very start she was allergic to grain and also after getting her home we checked her paperwork and found out she was only 5 weeks old, 3 weeks to early. Her allergies have gotten progressively worse through the years. Although itching and constant ear infections was something my husband and I felt we could deal with, a couple years later at the age of 5 she suffered from hip dysplasia. Meanwhile her allergies continued to worsen. Now at the age of 7 she not only has the hip dysplasia and the constant ear infections from allergies and uncontrollable hair loss from that itching, but now she has started getting sores on her lower lips on each side of her mouth that are almost impossible to get them to heal and very painful for her. They are caused by an underlying health issue like kidney disease but were not sure yet. This dog is the most loving and protective animal I have ever known, but I am sure it is because of the breed not the breeding. She is miserable and we've tried making her as comfortable as we can, we give her a special diet, and bathe her in sensitive shampoos, medicate her constant ear infections, and now she has to deal with this terrible mouth issue. I am sure Keltie's did not test their dogs they mate for hip dysplasia otherwise they would have given me a copy of that test. As far as their "guarantee" is concerned how do you guarantee things that show up early as well as later in life? I love my dog and that is the only reason why I have not contacted a lawyer. Had I known of all the future issues with this dog I would have never purchased a puppy from them and I do not recommend buying from them.

This is to amend my earlier review. As of today, I'll be taking my Germen shepherd to the vet for what looks like a case of German Shepherd Pyoderma. It's a genetic skin disorder caused by several skin allergies. We're not sure of the outcome yet but it doesn't look good for our girl! :..(

I am the Co-Owner to Kelty's German Shepherds. We are very proud of our written genetic health guarantee but can only make good on it if we are contacted and presented with vet reports indicating a genetic health problem. I do not even know who the person reporting this issue is. If they had contacted me and their dog did indeed have a genetic epilepsy that came from our kennels, then of course we would have honored our guarantee. We can only honor what has been reported to us. If this dog does in fact have genetic epilepsy, than of course we would have replaced the dog. There are many causes for epilepsy including injury. If the writer of this complaint would contact me personally, I'm sure we can still make good on this...provided all facts and documentation is in order. Again, we are very proud to offer our health guarantee and have many happy references to send out to any one who wishes to learn more about our great reputation.

I was all set to acquire a purebred dog through a "reputable" breeder 8 years ago already. But I have read so many horror stories, watched the prices for these genetic monsters go through the roof, and since have long given up that idea. Total clowns who either couldn't care less or just want some big money - YOUR money! - while they sit on their lazy fat b***s, letting totally poor specimens breed in the backyard, but still cashing in on s@ckers I wouldn't trust any of them. I don't care what organization they claim to belong to. Honestly - $2000 for a poor specimen who'll cost you another $5000 in vet bills. And you're supposed to think just because you put up all that money, it's gonna be a healthy breed-standard dog? Think again. I 'd rather take that $2000 to the lousiest slot machines and just dump it in. I'd be way ahead. And I don't even gamble. Want a dog? These days, just go to the dog pound. Way WAY cheaper - just for starters.

Dog breeders have become the used car salesmen of the 21st century.
