No one in their right mind should work for this company! K&B Transportation will do anything to screw their drivers! I have been working for K&B for five months and in that time it took them three months to pay back a $205 hotel bill. After arguing with them for three months, it finally was paid but not fully. Then, they have a recruiting bonus that states the new hire must attened orientation and deliver first load on time for the person that recruited them to get paid a $500 recruiting bonus! I recruited a driver he met the requirements for me to get paid this bonus. I was paid this bonus of $500. Then, the recruiting office called me three hours later and said there was a problem with the recruiting bonus. That the driver that i recruited decided to quit. That they were taking the recruiting bonus back, that they already paid and said that the requirements were met. But, said it was their decretion to pay it or not after the criteria was met for what they said had to be done. This company has a horrible DOT score that if the new CSA 2010 requirements were put into effect today this company would be shut down! In the five months that i have worked for them, they have had five trucks destroid due to drivers of K&B's fault because they hire irresponsible drivers but, will not do what is right for the drivers that try and help them out anyway they can! All of these accidents happened within the last two months! This is seriously hurting K&B's DOT score which is getting unnecessary DOT inspections for their drivers. When it comes to pay they keep changing the rules on when advances are taken and what weeks that they take them out of their check. Some weeks they take out your advance on Sunday and Thursday. Then, the next week they will take out your next weeks Sunday that should be on the next week. Which screws around your previous weeks pay. If anything goes wrong with your truck that they deem is driver error, they will charge you for it and make you pay. Case and point fuel gage on my truck is not working. This has not been working since I got the truck. Tried to keep track of milage of how much fuel I used and caculated wrong, and ran out of fuel, and was charged the cost of the breakdown. To this day the fuel gage still does not work. But, it cost me almost $500. Does that seem fair that thier drivers should have to pay for their equipment?
