Date of service:28/8/2022

Place of service: Picked up from 11 Farm St, Newmarket QLD 4051 & Delivered to 2/32 Young Street, Annerley QLD 4103.

I would like to make a complaint against Jeff who I hired as a removalist and who agreed to bring along another man to help him (two men and a ute) to pick up a wardrobe and deliver to the Annerley address. Jeff was 3 hours late and turned up with a very young looking guy who did not look like he would be able to pickup heavy furniture. I suspect he did not have anyone lined up to help and was able to find just anyone. Jeff was very slow, and took forever to get the wardrobe out and onto his ute to deliver to Annerley. The price was fixed at $140.00 which I confirmed with him via text. Upon delivering the wardrobe to Annerley, where my son in law Jacob was waiting to give access, Jeff complained the whole time about the job. Never even an apology to anyone, after hugely inconveniencing all! He then demanded double the amount (i. e $300.00 and insisted my son in law go to the teller machine at a nearby shopping centre to withdraw more money out - cash of course!). Jeff is a very big guy, and my son in law was intimidated by him. If you find him on Gumtree you will see there are numerous very bad reviews complaining about exactly the same thing. I wish I had read them as many sa "Do not use Jeff" He lies, and changes the price after he has picked up the goods. A really bad experience, and we feel like we have been robbed by him.

There are so many bad reviews, I feel this man should be made accountable

for his own actions and inability work efficiently, then tries to overcharge.

Desired outcome: I would like my money refunded of $80.00 that he overcharged. It's not just about the money, overall it was a very distressing experience that many others have been through. -
