This review was chosen algorithmically as the most valued customer feedback.

We have sent letter the following data, below, to customer care. And know they don't care from lack of replies, one for each vehicle.

I did get case closed on this case, case [protected].

I had much more respect for your company. Is this the new normal?

Letter as asked by phone call to customer care... Sept. 5, 2020

Dear customer care,

We took our 2009 jeep patriot to finnegan service center to have a repair done under the lifetime extended warranty that we bought with the jeep. To our unpleasant surprise we were told that the warranty we have bought was voided because we did not have a 5 year inspection done on the powertrain. This was a shock as we had no idea (and neither did the dealership) that all warranties were voided because of the lack of a 5 year inspection – none of our other chrysler vehicle has this requirement. We have since read all the warranties with the jeep and no where does it say that missing the 5 year inspection would void all warranties – even the lifetime warranty that we bought separately with the vehicle. And I depend on service center to check items that need to be serviced as a normal responsibly by jeep but failed on this issue.

We did contact your customer service department and they gave us a case no. [protected] this is a 2009 jeep patriot with vin # 1j4ft28b29d101544. They were no able to help us reinstate the warranty and informed us to write to you. We also have another 2009 jeep patriot with the same problem – it did not have a 5 year inspection and the lifetime extended warranty that we bought with it has been voided also – this is 2009 jeep patriot – vin # 1j4ft28b89d126416.

We found other unhappy chrysler/jeep owners on attached article. The warranty was not explained when we and many others bought our vehicles. There was no notifications ever sent on dates that this requirement must be done by, customer service knew these dates but we had no idea. This is not a “normal or standard” requirement that we have ever needed to do with any of our other chrysler/jeep vehicles. We have always kept us up to date with all recalls and have had all our vehicles regularly serviced. We are very loyal chrysler/jeep customers as we presently have the 2 -2009 jeep patriots that we are writing about and a 2012 jeep patriot, 2012 town and country van and 2007 and 2012 ram trucks. Also we have purchased many others over the years.

We feel that this is a big mistake and expect our warranties to be reinstated asap.
