I don't usually write negative reviews but I think people should be warned about James Malinchak. I attended a public speaking seminar/boot camp. I got roped into buying a package that included a phone call with him and a day of brainstorming at his mansion. The phone call with him was so upsetting I was left in tears. He was rude and dismissive and rather than answering any of my questions he tried to upsell his coaching programs... so in other words if I wanted to get the answers to my questions, I had to spend thousands of dollars on his coaching program. This phone call was worthless. I knew then that I had been taken to the cleaners. After the phone call, I ended any business relationship with James Malinchak. I guess I was lucky I didn't go to the mansion... I later found out the attendees spend the entire day in the sparse desert home, listening to other attendees (not "the expert" Malinchak) without even a glass of water!
This is 100% false, erroneous and frivolous! If it were true, why wouldn't Madshoppergirl have the courage to share their identity by listing their name, contact information and website! It's most likely a jealous competitor listing.

Actually, not true. I spent 2 days at James' mansion with seven other people. He poured into us powerful principles of how to evaluate business decisions, how to write your own book, how to get speaking engagements, etc. And he gave us not only water, but wonderful lunches at no extra charge. This two day conference was a free bonus that he offered when I signed up for his speaking program. The speaking program was practical, this 2 day seminar was phenomenal.
I write negative reviews all of the time and I have nothing but good things to say about James. I definitely get a sense that you get what you give with James and if you do not take the interactions with him seriously from the start, then you might have an issue. Were you on time--ready to participate--considerate of his time and expertise? James has studies a great deal and definitely has wonderful practical wisdom to share. I think the many positive reviews speak to that!

The biggest question that most of us marketers/authors/speakers ask ourselves is "Will this training/trainer really work for me?" James Malinchak is a fantastic coach and trainer if you want to become a professional speaker. Or even if you are just looking for skills to grow your business.
