Jackson Street Automotive review: Auto repairs

Ziad Nabbout is a low life swindler. His Service Manager left without notice and my truck gets stuck there for 8 months back and forth and then Ziad tells me to bring it back when his mechanic gets back from vacation but the mechanic that was suppose to fix it told me he was never asked to look at it! Waste of life this guy is. One of the times I had to bring my car back because Ziad handed one of his clown mechanics 5 quarts of oil and the clown put all 5 quarts in for 3.8qt capacity. I find out 3 hours away when my car starts idling rough and hesitating and Ziad lies and says being over a 1.2 quarts wont hurt the engine! The laughing stock of every mechanic in Salem. When I brought it back to get the oil drained he actually asked me to come back again! The same mechanic couldnt even balance my wheels right and found out when I got on the highway my car was shaking so bad and had to bring it back again. Ziad doesnt even have a torque wrench to retorque aluminum wheel lugs and just uses an impact wrench on everything which warps your disc brakes or breaks your bolts. This is basic mechanics 101 here. The last straw was when Ziad replaced a fuel tank because it all of a sudden started leaking gas one of the many times I got it back from him and then started leaking gas again because they forgot the corroded fuel pipe and he wants me to keep driving it with baby seats in the car until hes done my truck that he repeatedly lies about getting done because he never calls when he says its going to be ready. My wife brought her car to him and she asked him to check it out and does a bunch of work without her permission or an estimate and charges her more than a dealer then tells her to make me pay it but the low life doesnt know it has to go on her business account. This low life even screwed up my mothers car, couldnt even get the E Brake done right for a road test and the DMV had to reschedule. Her tachometer stopped working after paying for a timing belt and then the same thing happened on my truck and Ziad takes no responsibilty for mechanics that couldnt work at Pep Boys. They hacked my frame with amateur welds I dont even think was legal and left ugly welding grapes that cant even be chipped off. Dont take my word for it just look at the receipts for what I paid on 2 vehicles from 1998. I could have bought another car! There are many other shops in Salem with a good Better Business Bureau rating and this guy claims to have been open for over 30 years and doesnt even have one. Only 1 review on his Facebook page and all the Google reviews specifically about being honest are paid for by his employees and their relatives. Thanks to all my friends who helped me put this together on a laptop over drinks at Sidelines. Much better to do something about it, than just talk about it.Never calls when ready, never gets permission to do work, never gives estimate. I watched him tell 2 old ladies he would take the clutch out of their Jetta they were giving away and just charge them the labor even though he didnt get permission to do the work. Just look at these bills, charges more than a dealership and the cars still have problems. One car is still leaking gas after he had the gas tank out twice and expects me to keep coming back with babies in the car.
