This is a true story about a patient, written in song verse:
And there’s a story of Tomlin Brady, a child who sailed the seven seas and skies.
And when he came home, his mother fought him, saying that he was her little punching bag.
He took the bruises for his mother
Staying in the hospital long nights and dreamy days
Getting meds and…labels on him
Staying home the runt that could not ever be, look.
And the doctor, told him clearly, that his mother was a nice teacher they all knew.
Who everybody loved and laughed with such as Hypatia of Alexandria.
But little did they know of, the scars that hurt son,
Causing parents one and two to file on him
Saying money, arts and stigma, were his Scarlett Letter cross to carry on with.
And then the papers were changed to better reflect accurate tests and scripts giv’n to him
With no thought of his broken legs seen
In every place he walked around and gabbed in town.
How dreadful it was for son A hearing scholar after scholar postulate the past
About what happened or did not occur who really knew the answer that was true for one here.
And so his anger rose and rose soon, writing legal brief and statement to the nurse
Asking what up and why the lack of, respecting what he took by mouth the ever’y day now.
And so the doctors got together saying Son A was the problem very true
They kicked him out of the healthcare clinic saying that he was a hopeless cause they could not help yeah.
And then the Army, said hoo-rah now, for they knew that they had complete control yup true.
No law was followed or even reviewed during the son’s day with med rep and the couch uggh .
