I was taken in by this group for 3 years, promising me that I would be trained as a Christian Music Minister to go out and play my music to church groups and others. After trying to coax me into getting people to sponsor me as a missionary to help pay for my $450, agent fee a month I realized that I was ripping off others and they were ripping me off. In 3 years I never once got to play my music, I read books, did book reports to them (all in the name of helping me build my ministry) took personality tests, and did a lot of writing about myself.

I finally learned that the company was run by a mom and pop, who had misrepresented themselves as a full company of agents etc.. Their son runs the computer stuff and the daughter is the secretary. Not the professional ' recording and development' company that they said they were.

Don't get taken, (me for over $3000 in 'agent' fees) thinking that they are going to help your career.

First of all, it is the artist's responsibility to get out and sing. You complain about not having the chance (in 3 years) to go out and sing. What was stopping you? I doubt they told you NOT to ever go out and sing for people. You can't blame them for your lack of initiative. Also, it is standard procedure to ask friends and family to help sponsor a missionary. That's how they do it all over the world. It's not ripping anyone off if they help, willingly. This "mom & pop" operation, as you called it, have managed to stay in business for 25 years. You didn't go out and find a place to sing or play your music in THREE years. That doesn't reflect poorly on the Incubator Creative Group. It's not there fault that you chose to do nothing with your music. You didn't even sing in your own church? Why not?
Also, $3, 000 in 3 years is only $1, 000 a year. That's only $83.00 a month. Were you expecting them to help you for free?

If JolyT really did work with Incubator Creative Group for 3 years, it seems he/she never really understood what the company was all about. The messages on their website (www.IncubatorOnline.com) are pretty clear about how they help artists. These criticisms don't even make sense. And, 80% of businesses in America are family businesses... what's wrong with that?

I checked them out with the Better Business Bureau. They've got a A+ rating and zero complaints, and have for years. Also, found this page that sheds light on this and hasreviews from actual clients of Incubator... www.myministryoffice.com/Incubator-Creative-Group-Reviews

I also was taken by Incubator. They come off as a professional record and as been stated are a Mom and Pop organization. I worked with them for 3 years as well, never got more than books to read and papers to write. All the while giving them management money. I wrote songs, and they never asked me for tapes, I really don't think they have any recording experience. They come off as a Christian company but they rip off their clients.

Just an FYI: you should NEVER pay a management fee unless it is an agreed upon percentage of the money YOU received based on their work. (Example: XYZ CORP agrees to pay you 1, 000 to sing at their company picnic. Your agency having booked the performance, issues a contract and deducts 20% (200.00) for their services rendered to you. The balance of 800.00 is forwarded to you following the performance. GENERAL RULE OF THUMB: IF AN AGENCY ASK FOR MONEY FOR THEIR SERVICES...RUN THE OTHER WAY!

They did this to me too, ripped me off. I put everything into their program, gave it my all and in the end it went absolutely nowhere. They are a scam, one that cost me, my family, and friends $12k. They will have to answer to the Lord for what they are doing.
