Yes this app does have flaws, but it is still an amazing game that you should definitely get but I have 3 problems with it.

Me first problem is there isn’t enough guys, it just feels one short of a guy but that is just a personal nit pick of mine.

My next problem is that you can use all the beats and vocals, they’re relocated to versions, it just made it feel like there was no diversity at times. One way this can be fixed is you can keep all the versions, but also have a sandbox version that includes all of the beats and vocals.

The last problem is also just a personal nit pick, but I wish that you could record a custom line and/or download download sounds and lines for the game. And if you do make the sandbox version you can use all six of the custom lines.

Before I state the glitch, it’s overall amazing. But when we get to the glitchy part, well... Not so much. Incredibox is an app where you express your musicality. Since 2009 it was rated app of the day. The devs worked very hard on this. (Except the ones that were models of Paul REALLY scared me) It’s a great app for children and adults alike. Used for projects and much, much more you can do anything to music backdrops to wallpapers. Okay, enough of me rambling on, to the glitch! So Dystopia (V8), the one everybody favors is Incredibox’s new release. When I was recording, (my DJ name is Unpopular) I was doing really good, after I used the (only) bonus, Riviera. After the bonus ended, the screen turned white for a moment, then it turned me to the title of Dystopia. It scared me! And it had deleted the recording! Please fix this. Thank you, SO FAR SO GOOD!

Only a few minutes ago i was watching someone on YouTube and he was doing a stream on incredibox to try and make a song for his outro, and it got me wondering if I still had this gem of an app after so many years of forgetting about it. And I did! I looked for it and found it. I am absolutely in love with this app, I e started to use some music I’ve created as some background jams for some videos of mine, I’d have to say, dystopia is my favorite, but that’s just a personal preference. ☺️ one thing I would suggest: (absolutely does not have to be done if you guys don’t want to and or don’t have the time / budget or something) maybe possibly make it an option to have more / less characters in the screen, for the possibility to make more complex music? Just a suggestion! Other than that small thing, nothing is wrong with your app, it’s amazing, keep it going!

Incredibox is incredible as told from the name. The ostinate (I think that’s how it’s spelled) are loops of very impressive patterns. There are videos in each category from alpha to dystopia. Every single part of this app is amazing. There are a few minor glitches like how if you exit the game and come back, it will say “are you still there?”. Then when I say yes it will freeze. Also, the game will say “undo typing” A LOT. If this is annoying readers, then this app is probably not worth it. Lastly, lots of my friends are wondering if the makers could make more types of music to play. I’m tired of playing the same thing. Either way, Incredibox is a good game or as they say, “so far so good .” I heart this game and is played in my entire household. I hope you could add to it and fix those glitches but in a mean time...take your time. Thank you for making this game!

I recently just installed this on my New iPhone, as I’ve been playing this game ever since it came out. GET THE GAME. It is absolutely a masterpiece. I did hesitate getting the app years ago in Pre-Alpha, but I am glad; SO GLAD that I installed this game. It should be so much more than $4.99, it’s the most entertaining app I’ve ever installed in my life. It is FOR SURE worth the price. It’s amazing. I have no words to explain. So Far So Good, YOU are the one who made this masterpiece for all of us. I don’t know how you do this, but I can seriously play this all day. One day, I settled down from work at home, and I started playing this game at around 6:00 PM. Wait till you hear this; I ENDED UP PLAYING TILL 1:00. Yes. One-O’Clock. THIS GAME IS LEGENDARY. INSTALL IT. I don’t care what you think, but install it. Period. I’m being a little aggressive, but I’m being true. It’s a fact. Install. Now.

This game is an absolutely amazing beatboxing game that every single music lover in the universe should play! This game has won many awards and I think it deserves it. I think it should cost more than it is because of how amazing it is.

On suggestion I have is to maybe be able to view the top 50 songs and your songs all together instead of just one mode, but other than that this game is a very good app people who might want to start making music.

I also would like to point out to some people that there is a reason for all the characters being boys and that there is no females. The man in the game is actually one person (Incredible Polo) who has different personalities and/or outfits and Incredible Polo made every single noise that is in incredibox and you should know that backstory because the developers are not sexist.

But yeah this game is a 10/10 review (5 stars) and I just love it so much and it is WORTH the $3.99.

Incredibox is an awesome game. I’ve had the app for a couple months now and I enjoy the time and the little bit of money spent on Incredibox. I love the V8, it has very cool and unique sounds for music that’s not normally heard before but...It has some flaws that are not usually common in most music creating apps and websites. One Flaw that could be fixed only if you (developers) wanted to fix you don’t really need to, I like V8 the way it is, the flaw is some of the characters can be scary and weird for younger users(primarily kids 4-8 years old) so if you changed that a little I think a lot of younger kids will fully appreciate it more and tell their parents and friends all about. One quick note about it is that it would be nice to add more “extra clips” to V8. Overall the App is Awesome and I would recommend this to all my friends and family (which I already did). EVERYONE OUT THERE GET INCREDIBOX!

1: you should comment on others songs and design a profile Incredibox guy to look like you do the comments the parents could banned it if they don’t feel ok

2: they should take after some mods on there song ideas because most mods have good music and art styles

3: they could add rotation holiday levels and it only stays there that one week of the holiday

4: you could import your voices to make the people sound like your music but it needs to sound like that character so you don’t need more animations

5: maybe there could be a thing when if you pay 1 dollar you get a draw a costume thing over the characters

7: there could be a leaderboard and it says who was in the top 3 the longest or maybe oldest song in the game

8: what if they had a new sound color type how about instrumental

9: each level has 5 bonuses

10: change the color of each of the sounds to fit your likening because how the blue people are blue and if you switch it to pink then the those blue people change to pink

11: you could switch back to version 1 to see how it changed

This is easily the best app in the App Store. As far as music remixing and song structure teaching goes, but just overall the most fun you’ll have making jams on the iPad or iPhone, however it is currently broken. Launching the app brings up the screen of the app but with no Incredimen. Exporting a song that’s been recorded exports with all the information but when you go to play it it’s no music just the naked Incredimen. It doesn’t matter if I quit all other apps, or if I restart my device which is an iPad Pro 12.9 inch running iOS 14. This is all rather unfortunate because Incredibox is our favorite app amongst all in our entire household. We’ve bought things from your store, we cannot wait for V8 to come out but it’s difficult for us to not be able to play versions one through seven because this is something we do all day every day my three-year-old son cannot stop with Incredibox and it makes him very upset when it’s broken. I believe he is going through withdrawals, perhaps not physically, but definitely spiritually. You simply must help. Thanks in advance.

Incredibox is a neat music app for both adults and kids, as well as pro DJ's and beat boxers. It seems like a cute game on the surface, but you can actually create very layered musical creations!

I've been told there's a website from this developer, so I can't compare features between the iOS app and site. There are essentially several main groups of sounds and then you can mix sounds by simply pressing on a dude's bust, lol. Really simple!

I would love to see the app go a bit further, or perhaps a second "pro" Incredibox app with additional features. For instance, it would be neat to import sounds and even record them directly from the app. It would allow for more customization and fun! I'd also love to import backing tracks to layer the beatboxing over. There's also a shortcoming in the app where it's not possible to try out sounds before actually mixing -- there should be a way to become familiar with sounds, select those you like for a particular track, and then only work with those when you're ready to mix. I have many other ideas, but it's essentially these sorts of details that would truly add polish and something even more special to Incredibox!

Overall, this is a great music app that I'd highly recommend. I learned about it from AppsGoneFree, and I definitely intend on telling my friends to check it out. If you want to try a unique app for mixing, don't just get ANOTHER typical DJ/mixing app -- download Incredibox!

This truly is a great app for young people who want to make dreams a reality. For me I started incredibox like 2 days ago and I already unlocked all bonuses (up to current version) and I also made a few mixes. With this app I can jump higher and higher and do my best when it comes to beat making. Thanks developers for an awesome app and also I can’t wait to see what versions you will add in the future. One more thing, please add version 1 of incredibox please I want that Christmas bonus. And remember to keep beat making and stay incredibly incredible on incredibox.

Some bugs I found for the current update:
- when I make a new mix for all versions, after I save and quit, then re open the app to view my mixes, the mix is gone. I had to constantly have to search and save to my device and it annoys me (it keeps happening). I’m not sure if it’s a storage issue, but please fix. Thanks.

P.s. I play on mobile. Also, for a tip, instead of a specific duration each recording has to follow (Alive duration is 2 minutes and 43 seconds) I would recommend to make the duration infinite (or users can choose default duration as well as infinity mode) for every version, so that way people can make long songs without rushing to finish there current mix (the users can stop whenever). Like if someone wanted to make a 10 minute song they would be able to do so if users want to make dance tracks (full versions). Also we need more bonuses, users might say that the old bonuses might be stale and want more animations (update weekly maybe). Other than that. Thanks for making this app.

Having spent almost the last four decades of my life dedicated to the study and practice of music...I’ve found that no matter how diligent a person might be while in pursuit of their dreams,..that the quest for perfection and creative inspirations, they can on the rarest of occasions, be found by the most unlikely of means. And although I’ve found myself inspired by so many different creative forces throughout all of my many years of steadfast study,... discovering all there is to what makes me the unique creative musical being I’m destined to be, that it doesn’t always need to be traced back to a specific way of doing things...that the ways of the status quo can restrict and restrain you from finally finding yourself and your own creative voice. Personally it’s occurred only ever so seldom where an especially rare musical experience has truly affected me in such a profound way that I’m left in awe of the creative genius who’s individuality and unique approach is unlike anything I’ve discovered up till now. This game isn’t just a game. It’s art. And what makes it absolutely amazing is that everything within the game stems from a single simple idea, which then became transformed and built upon to end up finally as the creative expression which is the game. There are endless music apps available out there for anyone and everyone in nearly every genre imaginable and even more geared towards capable of fulfilling any application you could need or want. And trust me, I’ve downloaded MANY. But this app/game stands a part from any I currently have. And it was worth the generously low price to purchase it. Because in the end it’s a celebration of creativity and the unexpected fun form of something immersive and inspiring from a one of a kind musical point of view. 5stars to all who made this game possible. This game is for people who really want to make music this is definitely the one (besides GarageBand). Now there are 6 different modes in this game and there is about to be a new one called India which is going to be the 7 one. Also, you need to know about the little icons on the bottom there are about 20 overall and each are split up into 4 groups, beats, effects, melody, and voices and they all have different costumes that are totally awesome. What your going to do is to drag one of the icons and put it on one of the 7 dude and it will make a cool rhythm or a song. You can make so many songs and it’s just insane. But if you ever get bored or don’t like one of the versions well use another one that’s why there’s so many. That’s pretty much the basics of the game.

My ideas

My ideas for the future of this game is add more icons in the versions, I’ve had this game for a few months and now I’m still having a blast but the thing is I’m kind getting bored of using the same icons over and over again so maybe add like five new ones for each version maybe not the newest ones but the old ones like alpha through the love I think that would be pretty nice. Another idea is to make your own icon for each version, you would choose if you want it to be a beat, effect, melody, or a voice you can create a costume and a different beat, noise, or a song and a picture for the icon. That would be a creative way and feel like your part of the community. The last one is to add to versions into one big version for an example, sunrise and the love. This will be a super cool way to make even MORE songs and creations. That are my ideas for this game.

My Thoughts On This Game
My overall thoughts on this game is that it’s super unique it’s creative and jam packed with fun. This is game is for literally everyone it’s art work is just cute and simple and the people who made this app are geniuses. So please get this game if your into music it’s only a few bucks so grab the money out of your piggy bank and buy it and it’s totally worth it.

Cons - ( Not really cons they are just things I want added to the game )
1: please add a lobby where you can choose what mode you want from their and so you can listen to all your mixes without having to go to a specific section
2: can we make our own beats and make like 2 or 3 customizable modes ( but if there is any inappropriate language please remove the song so it can stay for 4 year olds )
3: can we customize a music video ( but remove bad language again for the 4 year olds )
4: can we work together on a song? Like maybe add a friends thing?
5: can we create our own outfits and how the beat reacts to it?
6: when we listen to our mixes, can we turn off the device and still be able to hear it? Please add this one...
7: If we get a lobby, can we customize the background with pics or even just draw it?

Please release V8 soon! I have suggestions about the characters. Maybe make this one about robots? Make each robot with different bright colors and make them each have a very distinctive sound ( but keep the beat boxing )

Please if anyone wants this to happen give the app a 5 star it is

Also I’ve read some comments about the game saying, “ where are the females?” And it’s a good question but the developers have made the game like this because the credit should go to them and the voice behind it all. i just downloaded the game and i cant hear a thing, audio on 100 and i still hear nothing…its quite sad for a game to make songs i can not hear a thing..i was really looking forward to it. i checked FAQ for possible solutions… nothing worked

This app is amazing yet there’s some flaws that ruin it. Whenever I open one of the different beat maker styles they take forever to load. After loading the sound is gone and they start to glitch. It takes multiple restarts to finally hear the audio without a glitch.

overall i think the app is amazing and great for something to do when you’re bored but when im trying to watch the bonus is just doesn’t want to show me it. i already tried restarting the app and deleting and reinstalling. if you have any suggestions i would gladly take them

It used to always work fine, but now, when I try to play any songs, it stays on a black screen for a while, and when it finally loads, the music does not work. I’ve made sure my ringer is on and everything. I’ve tried re-downloading the app many times and it still doesn’t work. Please fix this.

The is is actually an amazing app. The objective and gameplay is very creative and intuitive. The major problem is there is now replay value and I paid $5 dollars for this app. For an app that charges, I would expect support and updates… new modes and levels… new songs and edits.. more of anything!

Positives: fun musical toybox mixer when it works.

Negatives: It’s buggy. It freezes randomly, mutes itself and was over priced for its features. I have double checked my settings, WiFi, etc. everything should be in place for the app to work properly…but it doesn’t. I’m glad most people are enjoying the app. I feel like I wasted 5 bucks.

I bought this thinking I’d be able to create songs from the ground-up. The only way you can “create songs” is by choosing which parts of the band play at any given time. All beats are presets of sound loops. Don’t get this if you want to actually create something original. It’s a watered-down garage band with about 5% of actual song creation.

I can’t even play the game without having to install and reinstall everytime I feel like having fun I sit there restart my phone and try everything I can to have fun but no the people don’t even show up wasted money don’t buy it to many bugs and they won’t fix there game I’ve seen multiple reviews saying they would fix and it’s still an on going problem

I want to love this app, but all the technical problems are dragging it down for me. Can’t launch unlocked specials with out jumping out of the app and back in. The game locks up if I click the help menu. It stops responding randomly and buttons get stuck mid drag often.

When it works, I love it. Frustration makes me not want to continue with it. Hopefully it gets fixed

Installed on last years model iPad Pro running latest iOS with Bluetooth turned off, sound won’t work. After playing around for an hour, trying to figure it out, I discovered if I connect to any Bluetooth sound device then disconnect the Bluetooth device, it works fine.
Would be a really fun and creative app if it worked without having to connect and disconnect every single time.

I love this app! The characters are creative and the sounds are very relaxing in my opinion! But, I’m having issues with the sound itself! Whenever I open the app and pick an icon, no sound plays. I have to close and re open the app twice to get it to work! I have tried checking if my phone is fully updated and turned off silent mode! I love this game so much but I really wish for this to get fixed!

From Planet ridiculous. I’ve been using this app for years showing it to teachers so they can use it in their classrooms. For the first time I’ve heard pushback that teachers are not allowed to use the app because the singers are not wearing clothes to start. I’ve never even noticed that but apparently parents got offended. Can we throw the default character in a blank T-shirt to clam down the stupid?

Fix this stupid glitch. IT’S RUINING THE GAME. IT DOESN’T EVEN LET ME PLAY ONCE. I played this game for a while and it was fine until I updated it. It won’t even let me hit the home button on the app. Fix this glitch right now. The glitch is that the people won’t even show up and it freezes my game so I can’t do anything!

There's no sound in this app on an iPad running the latest OS. All I hear is a brief hiss every other second. Yes my ringer is turned all the way up, yes my DND settings are turned off, and no my bell isn't on silent mode. This is REALLY aggravating as I paid money for this. I'd like to play the app, but for some reason the developer doesn't know how to properly port sound to an ios app so it just operates with the volume slider as normal. Will be asking for a refund from Apple unless the devs fix this. I don't like getting scammed. Fix your app.

I first it’s was a really fun game. I wanted to play a different one and it completely stoped so I refreshed the game and it was glitching. At one point you couldn’t even see the characters and I thought it was just my phone so I refreshed my phone.. that didn’t work so then I refreshed the whole app and that still didn’t work! I made sure that silent mode wasn’t off but that didn’t work ether. I wish I could say that it’s just my phone acting up but I got the app TODAY! and it’s already glitching! If I’m being honest that’s was a waist of my money. I’m sorry if it’s mean but this is my honest review.

It would be cooler if you included female characters too. Something to consider if you update the game. When my daughter got this game I asked her why she was only using boy characters, she said all the characters are boys. She doesn’t play anymore because she feels bad. I wish I hadn’t spent the money on this.

Edit: I see that the developer has already responded to other commenters that they don’t intend to add female characters because it’s all based on him. Women are so under represented in games and music already. The message that kids are getting is that men are the standard and women are extra. Or in this case, not even here. Swing and a miss.

I have been playing with incredibox for almost a year on PC. I just now upgraded my ipad to 6th generation pro, 12.9. I spent an hour trying to understand why there is no audio… at all.

This is supposed to be a training wheels mixing app, i wanted your app on my ipad to make the kids i babysit happy. it is laughable that you suffer the one bug that destroys you is “No audio”. Im shocked and disappointed. tomorrow ill go to the apple store and see if this is on every m2 chipped ipad. If so, you have a serious problem. i hope it is just the case that my new ipad has a manufacturing flaw, but otherwise, this bug needs to be fixed or you are done with any new customers.
