Hyatt Regency Long Island review: Fall in the hallway

Upon checking into my room, I experienced a fall due to an uneven floor in the hotel hallway. My fall was witnessed by two of the housekeeping staff, who were more than cordial in assisting me. Later that evening, I reported my fall to the front desk and they filed a report. I did not feel comfortable speaking with the lady who took the report, as she was not very pleasant in her questions. A staff engineer followed us back to the area of the incident and stated that there were no tears in the carpeting but did notice the change in the floor height.

After a few days, I experienced some pain in my knee and noticed a bruise on my inner thigh (photo attached). I did not request any medical attention at that time as I knew this would be a great inconvenience to the hotel.

Upon checkout I inquired about the incident, and was rudely told "This is in the hands of corporate, and we can't do anything further", and she further stated "well your using some points for a discount, what else do you expect?"

As you can see on my account, I have been a long-time visitor of your facilities and never had an incident or complaint. However, my first experience with such reported incident does not make me feel comfortable about returning.

Desired outcome: Since I did not utilize any hospital or ambulance services, I would have thought a reimbursement of my stay would have been perfect. I used Point & Payment for this stay.
