Genuine satisfaction in life is attained neither through attaining a suitable stage in life nor through achieving specific set goals. It is a feeling which comes from the consistent effort to achieve your goals and enjoying the process. It encompasses witnessing growth in one’s personal life for example feeling the triumph in the face of hardship overachieving numerous failures or even being rejected. To most joy is in the little things, it is in every brave step taken outside the comfort zones to pursue things.

I'm 52 years old and even if you're broke there's nothing better than a day of fishing with your best friend and having fun!

Find something to transform or create, because creation, and life itself, wants to work on you.

At some point at a high level of wisdom, Life slowly let’s go of its position as teacher and likewise your position of student and they switch.

You teach life what you believe to be true. And maybe Life learns something from you.

Actually, I think I have an answer to your question. If I were to summarize it, I would say that happiness is a feeling which, like anything else, comes from within. Realizing that you may not even have a sufficient, at least not the best body, finding someone to spend the rest of your life with, or building up a healthy bank account would not actually make me deem myself happy. Settling goals, ambition, and working hard to achieve anything in this world, might be also fun, but it isn’t something which brings a sense of satisfaction. But what brings satisfaction is understanding that day-to-day actions, alongside courage to consistently work on accomplishing objectives or even simply going through challenges, or better yet, feeling yourself growing every day, does mean that you are closer to living your dream life.

Don't be sad. Life is good. True happiness in life, however, is not finding a specific end point, or reaching your set goals. Rather it is found in the process of working towards your goals repeatedly, enjoying the journey, and being pleased with the progress you make every day.It is also about improvement which means going through tough times. The ultimate goal of this life which is true happiness also lies in day in and day out work which is stepping out of your comfort zone and not only in the completion of your dreams.

I think there is a kindness in sharing such a personal journey. Good luck.
