Really just Usta Siberians under a new name.

Usta Siberians sold many FIP positive kittens. Current owners of Usta Siberians cannot get a response from Julian and Olga Ostrovsky in order to get their papers?

How can "Honey Siberians" be trusted to do any better?

So many families have been hurt from the carelessness of Usta Siberians. Julian and Olga Ostrovsky should have to confront their past behaviors, and show they can do better.

The first thing in their about section is related to FIP. It's really rather cheeky of you to do this. Show us you can do better. Please.

Well it's over two years now since we opened honeysiberians and none of our cats or kittens have any health problems. Maybe you will show us you can do better and remove this complaint, specially since you mentioned our names which is in violation of this complaint board policy's about private information..

Dear HHL, It’s easy to offend breeder. I would suggest you to read better our new chattery policy. All customers off Ustasiberians received TICA registration slips and with paying a few dollars can get kitten registration and pedigree from TICA. All of our previous breeders get new homes and all paperwork was transferred to new owners. Most of catteries as well as shelters have problems with FIP. Anyone can get this information from FIP experts online. We trying our best not to get “the beast” again. We check all our cars periodically for Coronavirus. We bring the contacts of our cats to other cars to obsolete zero. We always had and continue to have just one breed compared to other catteries. We only have few cats in our house and they never caged. Well if you have better digestion how to run catteries, be my guest and send me your thoughts instead of just discrediting and slander.

Honey Siberians is NOT Usta Siberians. HoneySiberians has new corona virus free breeding cats. It is Corona virus free cattery, so no source for FIP infection from our cattery.

UstaSiberians had the best reputation for Siberian cats, but we got hit with terrible FIP. We loved our cats, but having deep depression of the situation, UstaSiberian cattery was closed, all cats were spayed/neutered and after scrupulous health check was given for adoption. All cats are healthy and happy living with new loving families. It was impossible move, but we had very dark time with lots of tears, sleepless nights and desperation. Thank you for every one, who having our great healthy cats, provided us with great support, asking for re-opening of our cattery and restore our reputation of breeding again the healthiest gorgeous cats. Having deep doubts in ourselves, our vets directions and whole idea of breeding cats, your feedback and your trust in us were truly life saving support.

A few years later, trying open a new page in the life, after extensive research, we decided to import our new Siberian cats from Russia. It was extremely difficult to find corona free cattery in Russia, but it was unclear if there is any corona free cattery exist in US. After over a year of search, we found one king and two queens that never had any FIP history in their pedigrees and also come from corona free catteries. They all been tested negative for all known genetic abnormalities such as HCM and PDK tested for FIV and FeLV and also checked as Corona negative not only prior arrival, but also over 5 times post-arrival during their first year, prior to any breeding. And, now, all these cats check regularly for the presence of corona virus, prior and after breeding by the best US Davis university laboratory. Queen cat is given personal room to have kittens and stay with no contact with others until all kittens are adopted.

Before we got hit with FIP we had one of the best reputations as Siberians cattery and many our costumers were our friends. We committed to restore our reputation and have again the healthiest most wonderful cats by all means. Fighting against of any presence of corona virus, we follow all directions and rules given by Dr. Pedersen to minimize possibility of FIP in our cats and kittens.
Could we prevent FIP cases completely in our cattery? Lets Dr Pedersen answer this question “ IS IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A CORONAVIRUS FREE CATTERY?
“This is extremely difficult, because the virus is ubiquitous in the environment and easily spread by cats and on people. Isolation of queens and early weaning has been touted in the UK and is used in the US. However, UK catteries are small and such a program can only succeed in smaller catteries and with exceptional isolation facilities and quarantine procedures. Moreover, even if you could produce a virus free cattery environment, the moment a kitten or cat goes to new environments such as a pet home it will most likely be exposed to FECVs. Therefore, we do not recommend this procedure unless simpler husbandry practices totally fail to reduce the problem.”

Despite of many breeders and Veterinarians opinion that having Corona virus free cattery is impossible task, we are totally committed to do everything to eliminate any possibility for FIP in our cats, and we will fight corona virus by all means.

I purchased a gorgeous kitten from Honey Siberians in October of last year. I found them to be meticulous in health screening and our now 9 month old boy is a happy, 11.5 pound delight. From the day we brought him home he was playful, affectionate, and obviously well socialized. Our vet has given him a clean bill of health at every visit. I am so sorry for owners that lost their cats from illness but it is evident that Olga and Julian are trying to turn a sad page and rebuild their breeding stock and reputation. They deserve that opportunity.
