I am an Oregon Resident and I to did not get a loan modification, I submitted everything they asked for and in a timely manner, they kept turning my file over to someone else, and adventually stoped responding to me all together. I have been contacted by the state compliance division as I believe they are also investingating them. If you live in another state, you should contact your state. If you read your contract your funds where suposedly put into a trust account, if anyone of them are attorney's they should be turned over to the bar, for misappropriation of trust fund money, and they are to give you a final accounting and return any they have not used. That doens't even take in consideration their refund guarantee.

I too were requesting a refund after a year working with them I found out that they never got anywhere with chase and Chase told me that they kept asking for documents and Home Rescue never told us. Their contract states180 days turnaround; it's all lies. File kept being transferred from one to another incompetent people and nobody could explain the BBB rating last year. Everybody should go to Attorney general of Maryland and file a complaint so the government can take the owners down for fraud.

BBB Rating
This business has no rating because it is out of business.
Click here for an explanation of BBB Ratings
On January 4, 2011, Mr. Dewey Hiltner of Home Rescue LLC provded BBB with the following statements:

In recent months, financial reversals beyond our control along with industry related problems, have made it impossible for Home Rescue, LLC to continue operations and has forced us to close our doors. Home Rescue has not taken on any new applications since April 2010 and is devoid of all assets.

Home Rescue, LLC heretofore submitted to the lender or servicer on our customer's behalf, sufficient documentation tailored to their particular lender/servicer's requirements to secure approval of a workout option. Most of the work has been completed. The Lenders will require updated information. Home Rescue wants to provide the following TIPS and recourses in hopes to provide further assistance.

In order to ensure that your loan modification proposal has the best possible chance for approval, YOU WILL NEED TO DO THE FOLLOWING:
1. Contact your lender or servicer at least once a week to ask about the status of your loan modification. Keep good NOTES on each phone call to refer back to if necessary.
2. The lender or servicer may and probably will ask you for updated income and expense information. You need to promptly provide that directly to the lender/servicer yourselves. Then follow up with a phone call to the lender to verify they received it and that nothing else is needed at that time.
3. If and when the application for modification is approved, you will need to execute an acceptance document that puts the new terms in place.
4. There may be a required "trial" period during which you will be required to make timely payments based upon the new modified loan terms. It is critical that you make these payments on time and in the required amount. Once you successfully complete the trial period, contact your lender to make the loan modification permanent.

If you find that you still need further assistance, there are agencies out there that can help, free of charge. Go to this government website www.hud.gov or specifically http://www.hud.gov/offices/hsg/sfh/hcc/fc/ and click on your state and it will list many for you.

I have tried numerous times to contact Holly Wheeler, the so called lawyer who negotiated my modification way back in Feb of 2010, to help me talk to CitiMortgage. She is the only source to CONFIRM she heard the rep from Citi tell me we were all set and approved for our modification on Feb 12, 2010 and to start making the modified payments starting MARCH 2010. We have been paying the new amount she negotiated and they are now saying we were never approved and are deliquent AND owe almost $9, 000 to bring our account current! She won't answer my emails and I can't get anyone else in the 'company' to respond. We paid them in full and 6 months later are about to lose our home. I am currently seeking legal counsel, so if anyone else needs some REAL representation from a legitimate firm, please feel free to contact my email address tdjenkins06@yahoo.com. This company and all others like them need to be exposed for the simple con-artists that they are NOW! Tracy Jenkins

I am one of the victim of home rescue llc ###, they took my money and I did non get thier service. Now when I ask them for refund they said you did not deal with us but Katie Lee douglas who is the athorney. I took that money from my kids school and thier milk. She is enjoying this money at the expense of our misery. I don't know but I am not going to stop fighting them until I get my money back.
