&Sons Complete Restoration fixed my ceiling after a water leak and replaced my flooring in my kitchen. They were prompt and very good at all the aspects of the job. They kept in contact with me during the whole project. I would recommend them for any project you need done.

As a repeat customer of Hays and Sons with two homes and someone who has referred them to friends, I will say my latest experience with them will be my last. From the mitigation to the restoration is has become clear that they care about their profit margins more than completing the job correctly. Look elsewhere. I will from now on.

They came out immediately after I called on a Sunday to remove a tree from our roof and tarp the hole. They explained the whole process to me for all the repairs that were going to be needed inside and out. They called when they said they would and showed up when promised. They left the inside and outside of our house/yard very clean!

From the 1st call to the office, until they carried the last of their equipment out, very professional. It's more than that however. Very outgoing and respectful , every single person that came into our home introduced themselves. They re assured us our home would be secured and source of water found and dried out neatly and Safely. And it was! Thank You

We had some flooding in our laundry room and through the flooring. Our insurance company recommended *** and Sons and when I called they were prompt and polite. Since then our experience has continued to be positive, between their customer service for the tasks at hand, and also their hand holding as we navigate this process since theres 3rd party responsibility for payment. I have ever confidence that well continue to receive timely communication on the next steps. I was not paid for this review, but by leaving it at this time I did enter to win a gift card. I will either revise or leave any additional feedback should something with the rest of our experience differ.

There isn't much to recommend with ***. They are very slow and uncoordinated. The project manager they assigned us was very inexperienced, poor communication both to me and the contractors, caused multiple problems for us as well as their subcontractors. It's pretty sad when the subcontractors they use are talking bad about him and his disorganization to me. The worst though is their estimator, he is a very dishonest individual. He tried charging multiple times for work that didn't need to be done and was never done at our house. I had to argue with him to have that removed and in the end I became so frustrated that I did end up paying for some work that wasn't done just to be done dealing with them. The repairs that they made to our house were not all done properly. The only thing good I can say is the lady in the office who I first spoke to when we had the pipe burst was friendly and they did come out fast that one time, also their accounting lady was friendly and professional. I wouldn't recommend you use this company in your home, they are very dishonest and don't do good work. I hope we never have a need for a restoration company again, if we do there is no way it will be ***!"

We hired *** an sons at our insurance companies request in late 2017 for major storm damage to our home. After speaking with the job ***, I thought everything was good to go. That was the start of our ongoing nightmare. Our roof wasn't started until right before winter. We called the *** several times about a start date. The crew hired was 7 guys and it took them 11 days. They started with my garage(I have no clue why.) One gentleman was elderly and had heart issues that we helped resolve and one other guy (clearly on something) walked our country road on the phone complaining to his girlfriend the entire time. Little did I know we would not see our *** any other time during all of this.. Our roof was then completely tore off the day before a huge rain storm and water poured into our home. We called *** personally and demaned he came out.. he put up a fight but came out at 10pm that night. We had water pouring from the ceiling in several spots, a constant stream from my children's fan, and water coming from our breaker box. Vinces words were well dont worry about leaving tonight since you don't need electricity for sleeping. We were displaced twice because things were done so poorly. We ended up firing the company soon after they completed our roof because of lies and untimely issues. They then tried to price *** the roof cost and we then had to fight that. It just gets worse. We have had *** and sons to our home for roof leak after roof leak since the day the roof was installed. Low and behold we wake up today during a heavy rain and you guessed it...my roof is leaking in several spots. Called *** and sons and apparently we are out of our window warrently. Run from this company as fast as you can. I have never in my life dealt with such a horrible company. ?

I do not recommend this company for any type of repair. I had a fire at my home and it took them 6 months to start the work which was minimal. They were provided by *** to do the repairs and did a terrible job. They cut corners and theyre project manager had know knowledge of what he was doing. To get rid of smoke damage they used stain on my roof rafters which I questioned and was told this is how it was done however they specified in the quote that they would be using a special chemical made to remove the odor at a very expensive cost. Instead they used a stain that I could have bought at *** for $10.00. They door they installed had big gaps on the sides where I could see outside allowing rain to come in to my home when it rained. They where supposed to replace all the studs on the west side of my home but only replaced 2 leaving several fire damaged studs still there. They did not repair all of the exterior electrical outlets on the outside of my home due to fire burning the wiring. They charged me for a full electrical testing that did not happen which was expensive. They are a terrible company that cuts every corner they can yet still charges the customer for work that did not get *** and when you question their work and try and hold back money to get it done right they threaten to put a lien on your home. They do not clean up after they work and leave stuff everywhere. I actually had to repair 3 tires from nails they did not pick up and Im still picking up. They charged $15000.00 for a job that Im checking with other contractors informed me should have been done for $8000.00. In my opinion as well as other professionals they ripped me off by not doing a professional job and not what they quoted the insurance company. I would not recommend this company to build a dog house. I knew more about construction than they did.

I have read several of the of the other reviews and agree with not asking *** and Sons back into their homes. This review should have been done earlier, but could not bring myself to do it. I had a septic system failure where water ran into the bathroom, kitchen and utility area. The people to remove the water were quick to arrive and start the process. The project manager/sub contractors were something else. This was an insurance job, and permits were needed. I understand that this takes time to accomplish. I had the insurance adjusters allocation/repair cost. But I asked ***/Sons for a budget on the different items. None was given. There was a light over my kitchen table, I was hoping to put it back up it came up missing. They removed a closet in the one room and put holes in the ceiling. Tried to state they did not do that, I stated yes you had too when you took the old closet out same thing when they took the baseboard up to take the carpet out, they put holes in the wall where they used the crow bar to pry off the baseboard. I was told a cabinet person would be out to assist with getting the proper cabinets, guess what never happened. So I selected something and the over all project manager stated yes that would work. I inquired about a splash guard for the stove area, should be ok with funds to do that, never happened. Asked that there be a 'hard' water cold line into the kitchen like there was before, well, it is in the sprayer. The water softner was put in backwards. The plumbers where there at least 3 different times. Electrical was there several times and in the middle of a cold snap, just shut the total power off to the house, not thinking of heat for the pipes or the refrigerator. They put a light switch in the middle of a wall for a light over the kitchen table. Why would a person put the switch there? The paint I selected from one store, they went and bought at a different store, and no the color is not the same. Luckily it is a color that I like, just a darker shade. There was a storage unit used for this, and they put some furnace vents for the walls, bathroom towel bars in this unit, when it came time to put them back they could not find them. I asked did you look in the storage unit. This really irked me because the bathroom vent, I wanted back up and they bought a new one that I do not care for and not what I wanted. I found a new one that I wanted and they would not put it up, because they had already framed theirs in. But had they looked in the storage unit, guess what the items were there. The panel to my washer/dryer combination was left outside. I did not know what it was until after they had left. I asked them where it was and they stated we don't know must not have been on the unit when we moved the unit to the storage unit. I asked several times for an itemized listing of what was spent from the insurance funds and was told I could not have one. There was an allowance for new carpeting for another room, which I stated I would do at a later time. Well those funds were never seen as a refund. Was told that it would be better looking that before well, it is not.. There is no lighting in the shower area, I was told to purchase some battery operated ones and stick them up. I asked if they really needed to take the shower wall all the way to the ceiling, was told no, but they did anyway, so the shower has no lighting. They also left a telephone line in the middle of a walk area. Asked about putting it back where it was, they cut the line. There is no dial tone to that phone.Cleaning up after themselves, no they do not. They used my one short garden hose to drain the water heater and did not put it back where they found it. Lawn mower found it. They were nice folks and some took their job seriously, but when something was questioned stand back. I would not recommend *** and Sons for restoration work. Buy beware.
