This is my first experience with Harris Comfort, who recently installed a whole-house emergency backup generator. Succinctly and emphatically, I could not be more impressed with every one of their Employees / their Organization, from the initial point of contact, to the most recent checkup. Everyone, in every form of contact (phone, e-mail, text, and in person) has been professional, personable, proficient (highly skilled / knowledgeable), polite, and prompt. They have been absolutely stellar... 'just wish I could give them ten stars (instead of just 5). THANK YOU!

We had a whole house generator installed this month. As with most large purchases we did our homework and assessed other companies. When we met with Tom, the sales representative with Harris, he assessed our needs, answered all of our questions, and when the initial meeting was over, we were confident that contracting with Harris would leave us in good hands. At installation Mike and his colleague were professional and pleasant to work with as well. It was an experience that left us knowing that should the need arise we will be calling on Harris in the future. Steve R

Hands down, the very best company ever! Was never happier than the day I was finally able to sever ties with my former oil company of 35+years. Upon the initial meet and inspection to deem eligibility to sign on with Harris it has been an absolute pleasure doing business with this family owned business . Service techs are wondeful as is customer service and they go the extra mile if there is a problem. Just repaced my heating system that was over 60+ years old and have been so happy with the new burner . Highly recommend Harris Comfort for all your heating and cooling needs!

In early March we decided to pursue having a whole house generator installed. Generac, the one we were interested in, connected us with Harris Fuels. The sales rep from Harris that contacted was Lisa K... long story short - the generator was installed within 2 weeks of that meeting. The installers did an excellent job, and, made special efforts to not destroy our existing brick walkway and surrounding areas. We were/are very happy with the process and the outcome, so much so, that we have since changed our heating company and our propane provider to Harris Fuels, Inc.

I had my first Mitsubishi installed ten years ago by a good but very expensive HVAC company. When shopping for additional Mitsi systems I happened on Harris. Not only is Harris a Diamond Dealer (Mitsi talk) they were much more reasonably priced for the same equipment. They were very flexible in scheduling my new Mitsi install to meet my needs, offered zero percent loan, and moved an existing unit to another area of the house. Other HVAC quotes would not even consider doing the move. I think Harris is the best all around HVAC company in this area. Extremely accommodating, easy to work with, reasonably priced.

Lisa K sold our new generator to us which was installed in January . Not only was she a knowledgeable sales rep but was an absolute delight with which to work. She ventured out in the cold winter weather to mark exactly where the unit and the propane tanks would go but she even helped us to place our hemlocks to hide the unit. Lisa then appeared the day of installation, once again in the cold, and made certain that all went well. This gave us complete trust in Harris to make the installation an easy one. We give Lisa a 10 for salesmanship and a 10 plus for a pleasant, delightful personality. Thank you, Lisa K

After having a whole house generator installed by Harris Comfort last Fall, I called Tom C at Harris when I needed a new boiler this Spring. Tom, as usual, was very professional, knowledgeable, and thorough with his suggestions and answering all my questions. Heath and Fernando did a great installation job, making sure all phases of the installation worked properly. My house is older and a situation arose with a couple of rusted registers, but they handled those expertly. Everyone I've been in contact with at Harris has always been professional and knowledgeable. I intend to call Tom C again when I want to replace my heat pump.

After doing research I selected Harris Fuels to install a “whole house" generator. Their representative, Lisa “ came only a few days after my call. She explained every facet of the project, was highly professional and knowledgeable. On the day of installation a crew arrived , again explain what they were going to and set to work. What a bunch of nice guys ! A few times I went out to see how the installation was progressing, and each time they stopped to explain . They did an excellent job The office staff has been highly professional and knowledgeable before , during and after the installation. I am very glad I chose Harris Fuels.

We lived with window A/C units for 28 years. A few month back we shopped and had a Mitsubishi Mini Split system installed by Harris Comfort. We acquired 3 quotes 1- Our living area has two additions and is a little chopped up. Two companies just insisted their configuration was correct. Harris, John Z sale rep, was the only one to consult with Mitsubishi to verify the correct configuration and unit sizes and unit placement were positioned in the correct rooms for maximum efficiency. The Harris recommended configuration was also less expensive then the other two suppliers. 2- When the system was being installed the team consulted with me on all questionable areas. The team was professional, courteous and a downright pleasure to deal with so much so I bought them lunch. If in need of a A/C system call Harris Comfort!

Harris Fuels, Inc. was a professional and competent business. From our initial phone call, to meeting, to planning and choosing the appropriate generator to installing a whole house generator they were a pleasure to deal with. Harris' staff accommodated our schedule, was prompt and prepared and what we agreed upon is what we got. The generator is a blessing. There have been several power outages in our area since our generator was installed but within seconds, it comes on, so there is almost a seamless return to power. The generator manufacturer (Generac) referred Harris to us. We would gladly refer them to anyone looking for a generator. Because we have oil heat, we needed to have propane tanks installed and propane delivered. This too went smoothly. We are very satisfied and highly recommend this company. This past summer, I decided I needed a whole house generator. From a couple of neighbor's high recommendations, I called Tom C at Harris Comfort. He came out promptly and was very knowledgeable, professional, and patient (answering all my many questions). After checking with other companies, I decided that Harris was the company I wanted, unfortunately for me, so did many other customers (word has spread about a great company), so I had to wait for a couple of months. Thankfully I only lost power for a half of a day during the waiting period. At the end of Sept, my generator was installed by knowledgeable, courteous, hardworking technicians. I had Harris Comfort hook up the propane for a gas fireplace shortly after the generator. Again, all the people (sales & office staff, technicians) for this job were again very knowledgeable, respectful, and professional. I would definitely recommend Harris Comfort.

We decided (in the middle of a pandemic) to get a whole-house generator. We had 8 companies give us quotes and explain their installation plans. Harris Comfort had the best installation plan AND had an amazing price. Their rep who came to our house was very considerate of our health and home and before she even came up to the house she put on PPE booties, gloves, and a mask. Two weeks later, on a Friday, or generator was installed and 3 days later we had a terrible storm that knocked power out. Our generator kicked on in less than 60 seconds, but since it had just been installed we hadn't even had time to call to have the propane tanks filled. (They come with some propane but not enough to keep running for days). So I called Harris and within 1 HOUR they were out and had the tanks filled for us! The power outage lasted 3 days, but our total electric house stayed cool and everything ran like it was a bright sunny day out! We 100% recommend Harris Comfort for their expertise, fast service and professionalism!

After researching many companies to install a HVAC unit into my house, I picked Harris. The sales person that came out quoted me on the spot and was very knowledgeable and personable. I was looking for a Trane heat pump which they carried. They did not try to up sell me on the most expensive units like other suppliers and quoted me one that was the proper fit for my home square footage. When the two technicians came for the install, they laid down sheets to protect my carpets. They were very meticulous on every detail including putting the condensation outlet hose to the outside. The previous setup had it going into the side of the floating slap in the basement. They also made provisions during the wiring to the unit to make it easy if I ever wanted to install a house electric backup generator. They absolutely did not cut corners. The job was 100% installed right. The most important to me is trust, cost, and very good installation. Harris had it all. I wrote this review after waiting 5 months to make sure my house was comfortable with both air conditioning and heat.

I just wanted to take the time to thank the folks at Harris Comfort. My family has had a total of three generators installed by you folks. My mother was first, my sister second and after a major storm last August which spawned a tornado in my neighborhood I had enough with power outages and hand starting a portable generator. I contacted Lisa at Harris and we got the ball rolling. The entire process was terrific from the first meeting to the installation. Professional with attention to detail and my needs and requests. The service and installation was flawlessly done by a group of technicians who went the extra mile and made the installation one of the best interative experiences of our lives. Harris commitment to detail and timely work made the job done on time. I would recommend Harris's services to all. The Installation was in March during really cold weather and the install crew worked with such dedication and perseverance. As a long time techncian and Instructor post secondary in the Automotive Industry I know and appreciate the care and attention to detail as well as customer service. I give Harris an A+++++ for the service. We now have peace of mind no matter what the season or conditions. Harris treated us like I would treat my customers and students. After some forty plus years, our good old Lennox furnace started to have reliability issues, and needed to be replaced. I had always been interested in a Thermopride furnace for when the time came to replace the old Lennox. Every service person that I had spoken to over the years has always agreed that Thermopride was the best oil furnace on the market. So as the research for a new furnace started, I had referred to Thermopride website to look at recommended authorized dealers for there products .I was able to have three authorized dealers, to visit our house for quoting of installation of new oil furnace and outside air conditioning compressor and system. I was impressed most by John Z, from Harris Comfort, as he had offered the most informative quote. Now Harris was not the least inexpensive, but in my opinion was the best quality products offered for long term ownership. Our installation team lead by Heath, was extremely informative about the quality and functions of our new system. I think I drove them crazy, as I would watch them work every once in a while. It was obvious that Heath was a highly skilled technician, and was able to trouble shoot a few installation issues that had arisen. I noticed that our new air conditioning system had saved roughly twenty percent on our electric bill, and we also kept our house about five degrees cooler over the summer. Our new system has been running extremely quiet, and we are looking forward to see what our new furnace efficiency and performance is able to provide us. We highly recommend Harris for there product offerings, as well as there installation and service. Remember, you will always get what you pay for in the long run!

After getting multiple proposals, we purchased a Generic 18 Kw standby electric generator from Harris Comfort. Extremely happy with the entire process - dealing with the saleswoman, coordinating the installations, getting LP delivered, and setting up a payment account. Based on their recommendation, we also decided to have them arrange to install a new main electric panel installed to make the whole system up-to-date and safer. This was done by a licensed electrician that does many electric generator installation jobs for Harris. Just a beautiful and neat job replacing 40-60 year old electric panels and wiring. The Harris Comfort installation crew finished installing a Generac 18 Kw generator and a LP gas tank and underground lines. They did a fantastic job and were very friendly and accommodated my many questions and concerns. They listened to me and were able to work around a few things to make the job better whenever possible. Here are a few: 1.) There were two underground stormwater drain hoses (4" and 6" diameter) running from our back yard that intersected with the gas line trench. I marked the area before they arrived and they dug under them so that the drain hoses were not disturbed or damaged. 2.) Location of generator pad was discussed and moved back around three feet so that a lawn tractor can fit between the generator and some azalea bushes. To do that one of the men had to dig out about 10 square feet of pachysandra to allow the three foot clearance from the generator air inlet. 3.) For the electric line from the generator to the house, the trench had to run under a fifty year old boxwood hedge next to the patio. I was concerned that they would be damaged so the crew decided to dig the trench up to the hedge on both sides and then dig under the boxwood roots. This worked perfectly. 4.) The crew had to cut through a cement patio for the electric line trench from the generator to the house. They used a diamond blade saw delivered to the site. Then they carefully cut the patio and lifted up sections without breaking them into small pieces. This allowed them to backfill the trench with dirt and gravel, compact it and them reinstall the old cement pieces back into the original placement. This saved me a lot of cement work and actually looks great since the old existing patio surface is the same with just a small saw cut line that I can grout or caulk after it settles.
